I watched this program at 8PM on Animal Planet, and took notes! So none of these are my opinions at all, just the show's. I wish I knew what THEIR source was!PASSIONATE SIGNS: big personality, hotheaded, sexy, vitality RAT: pioneer, they love the thick of the action, super-achiever, sexy, passionate, they love a challenge, they'll take risks and work hard, they have a real taste for fine living - especially food, but way too cunning in love. MONKEY: livliest sign, eccentric, they like problem-solving, extremely likable, witty, they make for fascinating conversation, they are great showbiz types and great performers, they love all attention and are super-sociable, they thrive on campanionship. All they care about is relationships. They'll settle down early, and have lots of children. However, they're too busy focusing on number one. DRAGON: Most desirable, they can consider themselves blessed by the gods. (The show seriously did say that!) They are famously healthy and full of beans. They're domineering and a bit of a control freak, but they make it to the top. A Cassanova. They're the luckiest in love. A winner. They most passionate of the 3 signs. VANITY SIGNS: pride, arrogance, a will to compete. ROOSTER: self-assured, they take confidence too far, conceited, boastful, hard-working. Men born under rooster love the company of women. Outspoken, open, honest, willing to push limits, sensible. Sometimes they put on a show. Their vanity is only skin deep. SNAKE: They see themselves as 'cool'. In love with themselves. Way too proud to let anything stand in the way. They have a bewitching eye. They're possessive, vengeful, yet thin-skinned. OX: Conceited, stubborn, very traditional. They lead slow and steady lives. Workaholics. Easygoing, balanced and strong. Resolute and determined. Perfect partners but not Romeos. Not flashy. They think they are attractive, believe they're always right, and entitled to the best. They are the most vain of the vanity signs. PEACEFUL SIGNS: low profile, serene, nothing bothers them, laid-back. SHEEP: For them, staying with the pack is fine. They run with the crowd, to protect themselves. They respect order, obey the rules, abide by regulations. They won't take a path if they don't like it. Lucky sign. Low key, lots of friends, easy life. Lazy, undisciplined, unable to make decisions on their own. They love beauty and the natural world. They crave a stable family life. However there are romantic entanglements because they are ruled by the heart, not the head. They have seething insecurites hidden deep within. PIG: They crave a peaceful life. They want a quiet life with a vengeance. Self-indulgent, extravagant tastes. Earthy, loud, vulgar. Sensitive. A softy. Overly sensitive to what others think. Their heart is too easily broken. They are free-spirited and hot-blooded. RABBIT: They exude calm. Even tempered, very gentle. Quick on their feet, they are quick to run from conflict. They are serious party animals. They live for group events. Serious need for companionship. They favor friends over family. They care only about keeping the peace. The most peaceful of the 3 peaceful signs. INDEPENDENT SIGNS: headstrong. HORSE: Quite self-expressive. Freedom is very important. Extremely sensitive to others. Will listen to advice. Loves companionship. Easygoing. Miss Popularity. Hot-blooded and impatient. They are lead by their hearts, falling in love too easily. They marry repeatedly because they crave romantic adventures. They can't resist getting hitched. DOG: Headstrong. Free spirit. Loyalty. Friendships last a lifetime. They have a strong sense of duty and desire to please. They're fiercely independent. They are more determined than most. They are so loyal that they are too eager to please. They mistrust their own feelings and this can extend to strangers. Despite that they are suspicious of outsiders, they have a genuine interest in people, leaving them quick to make up. They don't ever truly want to be by themselves, and are lonely and adrift without a companion. Will sacrifice independence to be with others. TIGER: The most independent. They have complete confidence in themselves. They are warmhearted, friendly, sociable, and are very charismatic. However their need for authority can lead them to be a loner. They're highly intelligent, shrewd, and patient. IP: Logged |

Hey Virgotaurustaurus thanks - but...I'm a Pig!!! NOOO!!! WHYYYY!!! quote: Sensitive. A softy. Overly sensitive to what others think. Their heart is too easily broken.
Like being a Piscean wasn't hard enough - I swear life has something against me. Again I am last in the Zodiac Cancerrg, it depends on the year you're born. Although I think if you're an Aquarian you have to check the year and day. Because you're a Cancer there's no confusion. OK I got this from a website, it should be right. RAT: 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996 OX: 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997 TIGER: 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998 RABBIT: 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999 DRAGON: 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000 SNAKE: 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001 HORSE: 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002 RAM: 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003 MONKEY: 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004 ROOSTER: 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005 DOG: 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006 PIG: 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007 I don't know if anyone needs this but if you're unsure of your animal you can just go here http://www.index.force9.co.uk/mayflower/zodiac.htm IP: Logged |

Suzanne White has a book called The New Astrology which blends Western astrology (Aries thru Pisces) with Chinese astrology. I'm a Sagittarius (metal) Monkey. I honestly thought the description was pretty on target for me personally. She also has other books on Chinese astrology. If anyone's interested, here's a link: http://suzannewhite.com/newastrology/index.shtml ------------------ "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Ghandi IP: Logged |

I donīt like that description... Where are the positives in there? Everybody has positives and negatives... What about the intelligence, the mystery, the sensuality, the popularity...?

As far as I'm concerned, the "source" SUX the big one!!This is NOT me ::: "OX: Conceited, stubborn, very traditional. They lead slow and steady lives. Workaholics. Easygoing, balanced and strong. Resolute and determined. Perfect partners but not Romeos. Not flashy. They think they are attractive, believe they're always right, and entitled to the best. Really..I am not conceited...but I can be vain..I just like to take care of myself and look good Saggie Rooster ROOSTER: self-assured, they take confidence too far, conceited, boastful, hard-working. Men born under rooster love the company of women. Outspoken, open, honest, willing to push limits, sensible. Sometimes they put on a show. Their vanity is only skin deep. Maybe that is why I am with a more easy going guy- Taurus Rabbit RABBIT: They exude calm. Even tempered, very gentle. Quick on their feet, they are quick to run from conflict. They are serious party animals. They live for group events. Serious need for companionship. They favor friends over family. They care only about keeping the peace. The most peaceful of the 3 peaceful signs.

Eleanore I read her book - it's really good. In fact I picked it up at my library on the same day I discovered Linda Goodmad's book - Sun Signs! How weird is that. Before that I didn't know who Linda Goodman was. You know when I first read a description of the pig I hated it like you girls. There are good sides to every sign. Check Eleanore's link ( btw ) - it might make you feel better. It gives the good and bad side of each animal IP: Logged |

Isn't it a really good site Angel_Of_Hope Except for the emotional thing the pig sounds so much like a Taurus: "Pigs are simply possessed of a truly luxurious nature, one that delights in finery and riches (in surroundings, food, lovemaking and otherwise)." "They can be misinterpreted as being lazy, however, due to their love of reveling in the good stuff; this Sign could happily spend hours on end making love, napping, taking a long bubble bath or dallying over an incredible spread of rich foods." Or is it just me? Again thanks Eleanore and of course Virgotaurustaurus for starting this thread and giving us all this info IP: Logged |

lol, steelrose / i'm a sag snake (both fire) and i agree with what was said - despite any and everything - I'll always think of myself highly - arrogant and ignorant, lol. i will say that they forget funny, protective, helpful, sexy, thoughtful, understanding, etc., etc., etc.quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SNAKE: They see themselves as 'cool'. I like THIS for the Ox - rings true for me -"OX The Enduring Ox Commanding Leader--1937,1949,1961,1973,1985,1997 Buoyancy and optimism fill the New Year with a steady improvement of circumstances on all levels, especially career. If you remain steadfast, goals are reached and challenges resolved. Although naturally independent, Rooster years favor family and joint projects so consider the benefits of alliance and commitment. Romantic prospects abound for the single Ox and a rekindled fire burns for the committed. Let go of reaction to adversity and focus on inner peace when challenges arise. Your fortunate sector is northeast and quartz there brings protection. Do no renovations in the west. It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.
