Hi,

what does it mean if a planet is direct, retrograde or stationary?

I've never understood what this means...can anybody help?

For the purposes of astrology the movement is explained from the earth's perspective. direct means the planet is in its normal forward motion, retrograde means the planet if viewed from the earth would appear to be moving backwards, and stationary means the planet would appear to not be moving or mirroring (sp?) earth's movement.
