Does anyone know what planets by transit to & from the natal and/or Composite chart would trigger the ability to meet up with someone else in an astral realm while asleep? I'm guessing Neptune...

Sassy ~
Linda wrote about Mercury trine Uranus:

quote:
....communication flows smoothly and nearly constantly between you, whether you're awake or asleep. You may have had more than one experience of meeting astrally in your dreams, which was recalled vividly by both of you....there's a great deal of intuition and ESP between you....

Azalaksh -

Wow - that's really interesting! Does anyone have this in Synastry with anyone? Would the same basic affect be true if the Mercury & Uranus were either Sextile or Conjunct. And does having these types of Aspects in one's Natal make that person a better communicator, and/or, truly in touch with their dreaming state?

A.J. ~
I quoted that from Relationship Signs, and Linda combines the Conjunct, Sextile and Trine for that description (see below).
I have an Aries friend at my work -- along with the Aries-Libra polarity, we have Mercury trine Uranus orb 3. Sometimes we finish each other's sentences, it really is spooky sometimes to be on the same wavelength when you're not expecting it....
quote:
Mercury Conjunct, Sextile or Trine Uranus:
You stimulate each other mentally, and are as snug as two bugs in a rug when you’re exchanging ideas (usually unconventional ones) in your conversations, which are frequent! If there are no other planetary aspects between your birth charts to dilute this one substantially, communication flows smoothly and nearly constantly between you, whether you’re awake or asleep. You may have had more than one experience of meeting astrally in your dreams, which was recalled vividly later by both of you. Uranus awakens Mercury’s already agile and alert mind to new and challenging concepts (some of them pretty far out!), and Mercury is able to bring the flying carpet Uranus rides to a lower level of practical application of all those wild, unorthodox conceptuals. There’s a great deal of intuition and ESP between you, and sometimes your friends, family members, and business associates don’t quite comprehend what you’re talking about. That figures, because occasionally the two of you speak a strange language, normally spoken only aboard UFOs. Yes, you! And admit it, you’re somewhat “spaced out”. Remember E.T.’s famous, desperate plea, “E.T. phone home!” Both of you feel you’re home when you’re with each other.
If you’re willing to make the effort, you could combine your talents and ideas into a project that brings recognition and awards. You both love to be around people, have bushels of friends from every walk of life, and probably love taking lots of short trips – together, of course! Inexplicably, you have a mysterious and strongly beneficial influence on each other’s health.

Yep..Mr T and I have this.

He has Mercury in Gemini trining my Uranus in Libra within 3 degrees.

Also- Neptune contacts...

Sun Conjunct Neptune (according to Linda) As a result of the Karmic implications of this planetary contact(meaning there is a past life where one was student..the other teacher..etc..), there is much shared sensitivity in your relationship, an amazing psychic tie that allows you read each other's mind frequently and, whether you realize it consciously or not the two of you are able to communicate without benefit of the post office or telephone.

Other aspects include: Moon trine, sextile or conjunct Neptune, Mercury aspects to Neptune...

Mr. T and I share a few of those aspect..His moon my Neptune, my moon his Neptune, my Sun his Neptune, his Mercury my Uranus ...LOL...

We do connect alot through our dreams and just in our thoughts. He will say things as they pop into my head...we finish each other's sentances all the time.

BUT..where there is a problem..a fight, it can get hard, because the psychic tension..especially for me, makes it necessary that I physically leave the house or I will pick up all his tension.

The dreams are the biggest thing between us and it is usually me dreaming about what he is doing or things in his life or our conversations. Last night I dreamed he and I went to this huge house full of old people. The floors were all hard wood or that linoleaum (sp)... some people were very sick, and needed up with their drool..for some reason I saw military all over that place..like references = MP's etc...

Today we talked and he said "yeah, I am on my way to a convelescent home for elderly veterans wounded in combat"..

I just about peed myself..because that was almost exactly like my dream. It also freaked him out..he was like HOW DO YOU DO THAT?

any other's have experiences like that?

wow pidaua that's weird! But very cool too

...And thanks guys for your input.

About those synastry aspects mentioned above, I assume that Quincunxes would count too? Because I have the following aspects with Mr. Aries which I think would indicate a psychic link between us:

Sun quincunx Uranus
Sun quincunx Neptune
Mercury quincunx Uranus
Moon trine Neptune
& in the Declinations, Sun parallel Uranus

...quite a lot of nice psychic links between us, yes?

...ok the purpose of this thread was that I had a dream the other night in which I am convinced that I met Mr. Aries on an astral plane. I have many dreams about him, but this one was different in that I felt that our souls were communicating with one another, and I truly felt his presence and heard his voice as clear as day. And as I had always heard that Neptune could indicate psychic experiences, I wondered what were the odds that the transiting Moon had conjuncted our Composite Neptune during the dream. I checked, and you know what?? it was! And that's not all: transiting Neptune was quincunxing my Uranus & Pluto exactly, and also squaring my Neptune. And t. Neptune was sextiling Mr. Aries Sun & Mercury, and t. Mercury was squaring his Neptune exactly.

But then Uranus could also be involved too. Transiting Uranus was squaring our Composite Neptune exactly and in the Declinations, Uranus was paralleling our Composite Uranus exactly.

Transiting Uranus was quincunxing his Mars & trining his Jupiter exactly. And t. Mars was trining my Uranus & sextiling my Neptune exacly.

...So IMO Neptune and probably Uranus as well were the catalysts of this wonderful astral travel dream. I just wish they would happen more often. *sighs*

I have Sun conjunct Uranus/Mercury conjunct Uranus, with this current Libran fellow.
He is in my dreams a lot and they often feel Lucid or Out of Body. I had one happen this morning and it felt very very real. There must be some kind of transit occuring.

*edit* Sassygirl, I feel like I'm having similar experiences with this guy. Did you happen to see an Aura in this dream?

This morning as this all happened to me I saw a yellow beam surrounding me. And I'd never seen anything like this during my lucid or OOb dreams. It was cool but only lasted a few moments.

scorpbaby ~ I can't recall if there was an aura specifically, but I do recall that it was quite bright, almost like a white-out surrounding us in the dream. So I guess that could qualify as an aura?

..And another thing about the dream that I left out, was that I swear I could smell his scent...not that he smells badly of course lol, he smelled quite nice in the dream as he always does in person . But it was very much like I was in his presence physically, and all of my senses were aware of him.
..And I probably gave the impression that this is the first astral dream I have had with Mr. Aries, it actually isn't as I have had other dreams where I know that one of us was visiting the other in an astral realm. But this particular dream is the first one in which I felt us truly connecting in a way that we never had in a dream before. It wasn't sexual, but it was a connection on such a great emotional & mental level that it makes me want to go back to that wonderful place with him.

oooooooo I'll bet it's all these planets currently being in Pisces that's causing all our recent astral travel dreams. We were told to expect strange things involving dreams during these transits and they were RIGHT.

oops I forgot to add that transiting Neptune was conjunct my Ascendant exactly during the dream.

...And actually it still is. Neptune's gonna be in my 1st House for a loooooong time. I've got a feeling I'm going to be having a LOT of weird dreams before it's all over with.

Hi Sassy!!!

This is a great topic!!! I have been thinking about it for a while because I have been dreaming very often with this Aries of mine (funny, isn´t it? Both of us Virgos and them Aries...). Some of those dreams have been very powerful, so powerful and different, that I believe they were astral travels...

My story is here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/001362.html

I believe we see each other in dreams, our souls astral travel to meet, they have been doing it for the last year or so because it was impossible to meet in the physical plane. I believe he has been calling me all this time, for me to come home...

We share the following Synastry aspects that point to Astral travel and ESP (according to Linda in Relationship Signs):

My Moon conjuncts His Neptune (1º orb)
My Mercury trines His Mercury (1º orb)
My Mercury sextiles His Uranus (1º orb)
My Neptune trines His Venus (1º orb)

I guess Mercury (communication) and Neptune (dreams) are the planets related to Astral travel...

Regarding Uranus and Neptune, our composites trine... WOW!!

hi steelrose!

yes what IS it about those Aries guys that attracts us Virgos so much? I guess there's definitely something about all that fiery Arien charm that we Earth girls just can't resist.

..And I actually chatted with Mr. Aries on Messenger the other night, but I just couldn't summon up the courage to ask him: "sooooo...had any interesting dreams lately?" LOL

you said:
"trigger the ability to meet up with someone else in an astral realm while asleep? I'm guessing Neptune... "

i don't know what planet, synastry and all of that but I totally believe in meeting with others in an atral realm while asleep but i think it's possible between anyone. i tried to start a discussion (a meet up) about all of this in another part of linda-goodman to no avail.

Hi amisha!

I'm sorry that I apparently missed your thread. Because if I had seen it, I definitely would have participated in it as this is a topic that intrigues me very much. If you don't mind me asking, have you had any experiences with astral travel while asleep?

yup - but there are all sorts of ways of triggering astralling - i mean, with the use of senses such as sight, touch, taste, sound, smell...........try talking to one another first and see what that does / while in different locations but you have to remember, talking doesn't go the same as physically - you have to imagine yourself talking to them. train yourself to talk without moving your lips, your tongue or anything like that - it's hard, at first.

AND

you don't have to be sleeping/dreaming to do it. only thing is - while you are sleeping/dreaming there isn't anything to hold you back like traffic in the background, television being on, music blastingn, smell of your immediate environment and such.........or so i think but you will begin to notice idiosyncricies with what is said on tv and radio with your own astralled convos. i have to laugh because i'm such a b*tch when i'm awake says my astral buddies that they can't wait until i get to sleep. only thing is - i have a "full" plate in the physical, so i can't remember what/where i astralled to consciously sometimes. i can maintain the connection (via talking - i can hear but say the other person can see you or smell you, another person can touch you or taste what you are eating) whether i'm asleep or wide awake although my attention span may be quite short while awake. It's not as deep as when i'm away from the hustle and bustle of the "physical" world.

i've wanted to try with others an experiment i meet in places like this (i tried during the tsunami incident and after that - like the whole message board full of people wouldn't talk to me and i know i showed up)
try to get a few people together, say you'll meet someplace, even describe what you will be wearing, etc., etc., etc. you can take on a shape or be an animals for all you care - use colors and such, tell them what time and just think of being at that location at that time. see if anyone shows up. it works different for everyone - everyone has a trigger point so get as much detail about the people, places, and things as possible - you can even say I'll be at the top of the empire state building with a blue gown on, hair up in a blue butterfly clip - it'll be evening, i'll have a red bag in my hand at 10 e.s.t. - see what happens.

wow sounds cool But unfortunately so far the only astral travel I've ever been able to do is during my dreams. And even then I can't really control it. Because many times I've gone to sleep telling myself to astral travel to a specific person, and yet it won't happen. And when it does happen, it takes me completely by surprise.

sassy/amisha ~
I believe that all of us astral-travel when we are sleeping, it's just that most of us don't remember it. There's a chapter in Sylvia Browne's "Book of Dreams" dedicated to astralling and describing the silver cord that connects our astral bodies to our physical bodies. She also explains how to tell the difference between real astral travel and just wish dreams.
I have another wonderful book where astralling is described (a real how-to primer) called "You-Forever" by T. Lobsang Rampa which is now back in print. I would suggest that book to anyone who is interested in astrology and the other esoteric things we talk about here! Rampa was an expert at astral travel and "You-Forever" is really a lesson plan for studying these concepts from the point of view of a Buddhist lama.
PS: Linda recommended this book in her Recommended Reading list at the end of Star Signs.......
