I was just wondering if anyone else has a problem dealing with Librans. I have noticed that all the Librans that i have known really well end up pushing my buttons to where i get frustrated, angry and i want to ring their necks!! I am not saying they are bad people just that i feel that everyone i have ever dealt with are pushy, self centered and moody as hell!!!! And you can't tell them anything god forbid!!!! There also seems to be issues with the ego. I could be totally off base, but i have noticed this too many times to be completely wrong right? So what do you do? I feel like pulling my hair out as i am dealing with one i have to work with closely right now. For reference i am a virgo sun.

Great rant, suzyque!
Libra Sun/Leo Asc/Pisces Moon here, with Mercury in Scorpio and Mars in Virgo.
Sounds like you've been too close to the unbalanced variety of my brethren. How old are these moody, pushy, self-centered, scaly people who are driving you crazy? We tend to gain more equilibrium with age, when we are young the scales swing wildly! We know all the weighing and balancing can drive other people crazy, but we have to do it. But I don't think pushiness is necessarily a trait of all Libra Sun signs, nor is being moody, and I would bet that all Sun signs can be self-centered at times.....
Where is your Moon, suzyque? And your Ascendant? Let's see what the transiting planets could be irritating and stirring up?

Wow, Azalaksh... looking at your placements, I'm betting that you're a lovey one, aren't you!

*back to Libra rant!*

I won't go into detail, but let me add to your rant in spirit, may I?! I have a few peeves of my own right now. I'll be looking forward to what Azalaksh comes up with. I have a Libra moon and I've probably been just as unpleasant as I'm finding other Libras to be lately!

*carry on!*

i looooooove librans. I think it may be one of the easiest signs to get along with....at least for me. With libras its just instant meshing, a conversation always erupts out of nothing, and we just get along extremely well. They are so pleasant and easy to be around. However, according to vedic astro, many are moon ruled, and thus they are extremely moody.....they have mood swings like a gemini, quick and abrupt....and they can get VERY CRITICAL...I've known no other sign to be as critical about other peoples flaws, they really stand out like a sore thumb to librans, and they feel compelled to point them out. I think many librans are completely out of touch with their own flaws, they are SO focused on others they lack a crucial introspective quality that many of us take for granted. I'm not saying librans are shallow, I'm just saying they're extremely focused on others. Its this quality that makes them get on your nerves, sometimes we just aren't in the mood to have our flaws pointed out.

Hi Suzyque, don't you have Taurus moon and Scorpio influences in your chart, as I do. I totally agree with you, they are NEVER in the wrong, moods change like the weather, i find them unreliable too, Self centred yes, but I dont find the men pushy, but some of the women, Maggie Thatcher is one isn't she. I find it interesting that we have similar placements in our charts, and would love to find out from a Libra (males especially) how they percieive us.

Azalaksh - my Moon in Taurus and rising Aries, I think suzyque has similar moon - interesting hey - do you have any help in understanding this challenge, would be grateful, as I have just lost a male Libra friend - age 25, I think I was too honest for him?

Thanks for the info everybody, Sueg was correct my moon is taurus and my rising is aquarius. Most of the people i was refffering to are family members but some of them have been people outside my family.
I am glad it isn't just me, that other people see this also, maybe it is something in my chart that makes it harder for me to take than other people i don't know. But if anyone know of any tricks to take the wind out of their sails i would appreciate it. I know attacking them directly doesn't work, just haven't figured out the other way.

I forget who was asking but yes i do have a lot of scorpio influence in my chart. You would think that would make it easier to deal with this person, maybe i could tap into that a scare the heck out of her!!!

I've had similar impressions of Librans, in spite of which, I still tend to get along pretty well with all the one's I've met.

Libras tend to see issues from a number of angles symultaneously, but this ability can easily be overestimated, especially by the Libra native. If they spend a lot of time questioning themselves, it may be because they have such a tendency to being dogmatic, when they are assured of their position. The goal for Librans is to find a middle-ground, a place of agreement, but they will only go so far. They are seldom prepared to admit your point in its entirety, without making another of their own.

I think, when communicating with a Libran, or "trying to tell them something", the key is to acknowledge their position first, to explain their own point back to them in such a way that they know you see it clearly, and, only then, to proceed to present an alternate perspective. Granted, I find this to be the ideal means of communicating with anyone, but, it strikes me as especially appropriate when dealing with Librans, who often are so convinced of their own opinion, that they will not even imagine another. Perhaps this is because they are so accustomed to vacillation, that, when they finally do make up their own minds, they honestly resent anyone's attempts to change it.

Also, they can be great kidders (the ones I've met, at least), so, you've got to have a bit of a sense of humor, and be willing to think outside the box. If a Libra says something which strikes you as utterly inappropriate, its at least worth examining their logic. They may be approaching the situation from a seemingly absurd angle, which, upon closer inspection, proves to be far more relevant than a more conventional perspective.

But, this is just a reflection of my own experience, and I don't pretend to have a monopoly on objectivity.

Hmmm, well I haven't had those kinds of problems with Libra women. In fact, I love Libra women. The guys...different story.

Perhaps that comes from understanding their ways very well...from their need to be right, to be in control, to channel their aggression into discussion....not openly hostile dispute and to be or be seen to be reasonable and superior. These are all gigantic targets of opportunity when a Libra steps over the line

These are generalizations of course and chances are when a Libra woman is openly hostile...for no apparent reason, there's something going on....at home, husband, b/f, on the job, etc., that is tipping their scales.

Disarming a Libra, with concern...."my dear, this is so unlike you, (even if it's exactly like them ). You are usually so reasonable and in control of yourself". "Is everything OK? You look exhausted"....as you pick a piece of imaginary lint off their shoulder and flick it away.

I have Libra in Venus....So I guess that is why I find them really cute... I guess it's
their smiles and dimples... I don't have much problem to get along but I do find them indecisive and unreliable too.
