I'm curious to know if there are any indications in a natal chart of messiness. But I mean an extreme lack of order and cleanliness. I know a couple of close people in my life that have a complete disregard for order. They walk into their home and leave a literal trail ... keys on the dining table, wallet/purse on the kitchen counter, shoes in the living room, shirt in the stairwell or hallway, pants strewn about the floor in the bedroom, socks piled up in the closet ... Dirty clothes, mind you. They also have an almost unreal aversion to hygiene. They won't shower for days at a time, brush their teeth when they start to "feel a build up", often forget deoderant ....
I am so NOT that kind of a person ... generally very orderly, "cleanliness is next to godliness", etc. Observing and/or dealing with this kind of behavior upsets me and honestly grosses me out. I haven't been able to spot any similarities in their charts, though. Any clues? I figure if I at least know where the energy is coming from (or not coming from) I'll be able to understand them better and perhaps be able to broach the issue in a way they'll understand.

Ok that is just nasty, do not know if you would find that in a chart or anything seems like they did not learn that as young ppl.I honestly believe that stuff like that your parents teach you and plant that in you and it sticks with you as you grow up. Just my take on that wow... I thank my mom for planting that in me as I have done to my kids.

Possibly an empty 6th house or no planets in Virgo.

Or on the other hand alot of planets in Virgo that are heavily afflicted. Other planets making hard aspects to the Virgo planets.

Or maybe a Pisces or alot of Piscean planets. The Pisces I've known have been extrememly sloppy and messy. Being clean orderly Virgo's opposite sign may have something to do with it.

Maybe they have no planets in earth signs. Earth signs tend to like to keep things orderly even if it's a disorganized mess.

Maybe their chart is heavy with Mutable signs.

quote:
Fixed signs develop what the cardinal signs start, and Mutable Signs talk about what the other signs are doing. Actually, if it weren’t for the Mutable Signs, the other two types would probably kill each other. Mutables will stay with something as long as it is interesting. As soon as it stops being interesting, they are out of there.

Just some thoughts from an astrological standpoint.

Thank you both for your replies!

I honestly always thought along the same lines you did until it occurred to me that there might be something, anything, to indicate this sort of thing in a chart. Maybe I'm being too optimistic?

Thanks for the clues! Unfortunately I misplaced a couple of the charts I wanted to look over in the move but I am looking at one now and there is some 6th house stuff that might be related. It's empty except for Chiron and ruled by Aries. Mars makes plenty of hard aspects (Moon, Venus, Saturn, Pluto, NN) and only one "easy" aspect (Sun). The only thing in Pisces is the PoF. It's in the 4th house which is ruled by Aquarius. The only Earth is Venus in Capricorn in the 2nd house, again making plenty of hard aspects and no major easy aspects to any planets/luminaries. The 2nd house is ruled by Sagittarius. Jupiter finds itself in the 12 house with only hard aspects to it. All this together ... you think maybe it relates to this person's complete lack of orderliness/cleanliness at home? At work, though, I've been told he's one of the best organized, best dressed, people, etc.

Messy people usually live more in their own head. They can be really busy, really creative, or really unfocused.

The sloppiest, most disorganized person I have ever seen has Pisces Sun/Gemini Moon.
