I've been reading through a few posts and I keep seeing "Libra Stellium." Does that mean what I think? One sun sign and the rest of the chart wieghted in another sign?

I have sun/virgo, moon/libra, venus/libra, saurn/libra, jupiter/libra, pluto/libra, partoffortune/libra, Vesta etc etc (and i do mean etc!) What does that mean exactly?

Hi Ayumi ~
I've been researching this myself because I have a stellium in, you guessed it, ta-da, Libra! I have only one more than the requisite three, unlike your multitudes: Sun, Venus, Saturn, Neptune. My stellium is in the 3rd house, so there's a huge amount of focus there.
Definitions?
From http://www.llewellynencyclopedia.com/term/Stellium
Stellium: When three or more planets are in conjunction with one another, a stellium is formed. This adds intensity to the sign and house in which they occur. A stellium creates a sense of self-absorption and can add a self-centeredness to the personality, but it also provides a sense of focus. The difficulty arises when the individual needs to change focus or make adjustments.
From http://www.astrology.com/aboutastrology/interpreting/aspectsandorbs/stellium.html?arrivalSA=1&cobrandRef=0&arrival_freqCap=2
Stellium:

Though not an Aspect itself, an explanation of a Stellium is appropriate in this section as Stelliums are made up of Aspects -- Conjunctions, to be exact. A Stellium refers to three or more Planets that form a series of Conjunctions in an astrological chart, regardless of whether the Planets span into two Houses or if they are in different Signs or the same Sign. Whatever the combination may be, their combined energies create a particular focus, making a Stellium deserving of attention.

Within a Stellium, the power of the Planets is focused according to the Signs and Houses involved. For example, if a birth chart were to contain a Stellium of Mercury, Venus and Mars in Taurus in the Fourth House, this would create a tremendous focus of the steady, possessive, possession-oriented, sensual energy of Taurus. That heightened energy would manifest itself as related to communication (Mercury), love (Venus) and drive (Mars), as further related to home and family (Fourth House). Sound complicated? It's really not -- just think of it as a focal point of energy.

One more complication: A Planetary member of a Stellium is subject to the influence of aspects to other Planets in the same Stellium, even if the Orb is too wide to normally include that Planet. This is called aspect by association.

From http://www.stariq.com/pagetemplate/GlossaryListing.asp?Word=stellium
Stellium
A stellium is a group of three or more planets in the same sign or house that blends the energies of the planets involved, making the psychological manifestation of each individual planet dependent on each other planet in the stellium. This is much more complex than a planet in a sign alone.

What house is your Libra Stellium in?

Wow I can't believe I've never heard of this before. .... hmmm self-centered? yeah. Well I try to fix myself alot, thats why. Perfection!
Thank you so much for the info, I'm going to look at those links in a sec. Those planets are all in the 2nd house in libra. sun in the 12, mercury in 1rst, uranus in 3rd and neptune in fourth. and mars in 11th.
I always thought i was more like a libra! Is it like that for you too? Does this mean relationships are really important for us?
I guess im not going to bed for awhile

Ayumi ~
Sorry so long getting back to you, but I slept!

You say you always thought you were more like a Libra, that's probably true sometimes, but your Virgo energy still rules. Since my Sun is in my stellium, I think it increases the focus on the sign and my 3rd house where three of them are. Both the Sun and Saturn in the house of Communications tells me what I excel at, AND what I have to learn and struggle against.

Here's some more reading:

You're going to be spending some more sleepless nights!

Haha I am yet another Virgo with a Libra stellium (Mercury/Saturn/Pluto in 6th house). I still have a hard time wrapping my brain around what that is supposed to mean altogether, I just tend to understand my mercury's position more than anything. I have a severely large amount of mental energy and can go over situations and problems in my head for hours, seeing all sides of all of it and driving myself insane. Sometimes I like to think this is in part due to this stellium.

I've never heard of a stellium before!!

I have Sun/Neptune/Jupiter conjunct in Sagittarius in my 12th house. Great, I must be a real space cadet!

I have 2 stelliums in my chart,
libra in sun (1st house) /merc (2nd)/pluto (1st)
and
scorpio in venus(3rd)/mars(2nd)/uranus(2nd)
anyone have any insight on what these 2 stelliums could mean? I also see that the participants in the stellium do not share the same house even though the planets are conjunct by aspect.

Wow, this is really cool. My boyfriend is a virgo with a libra stellium. I'm surprised at the number of virgos with this configuration. VTT... I've talked to you about it before! Trainwreck... yes. Let's analyze this a little bit. It does seem to be a strange fit to the Virgo vibe.

I'm still trying to understand exactly how the libra stellium goes with the virgo sun. I do find certain libran traits scattered throughout my personality...the charm...the need for balance, the ability to argue just to take the other side sometimes.

However I was reading something today that the lesson of a stellium is in learning how the energy of the sign opposing the sign of the stellium. Therefore, a Libra stellium would have to learn how to incorporate Aries energy into what they do. This will in turn balance the stellium's energy. Also, when one planet is activated by a transit in a stellium, so are all the other planets in that stellium. Neat!

That's cool, VTT... my boyfriend has his Aries moon exactly opposing his Libra stellium. I thought that was nifty when you said that the lesson is to incorporate the opposing sign. It makes sense. Do you have anything in Aries? In what house is your stellium?

I have sun in sag, asc sag, and moon in libra. I have a stellium in sag (Neptune, Mars, Sun) and I've been told that I have one in Libra (Moon, Pluto, and MC... I wouldn't have counted that, but I was informed that I should.) That adds up to a lot of Sag/Libra influence for me, which seems kind of odd to me because I don't feel nearly as flighty as I "should." I also have a strong jealous/possessive streak (which I don't normally give in to, just very aware of it!) and I crave intense emotional connections... hmmm? Doesn't seem to make sense to me! (I have very little water in my chart)
