Hi y'all,Alright, so, I know about the funky http://www.astro.com site, and that you can get all sorts of charts there. My question now is, how do you get a chart that shows you what positions the planets were in at a particular time in your life (like, when you met someone, for example)? And once you get such a chart, how do you interpret it? Is there also an easy way to 'fast forward this astrological map ahead' so you can see what it would look like in 2 years, 5 years, 10 years (and, is that what a progression is?)? When you do synastry to figure out how well a relationship is likely to do in the future, is this what you use? Is it tough to figure out? I'd really appreciate it if anyone could give me some input on this, because I'd like so much to try that with my chart & my partner's. Thanks, Sunshine IP: Logged |

Unless you have an astrology software program like Solar Fire where you can see a natal chart progreesed day by day or hour by hour, you will have to go to astro.com and plot separte charts for each period that you want to look at. Synasty charts are not progressed, however composite charts can be treated just like natal charts. A good astrologer can provide you withthis information as part of their service. Lanny IP: Logged |

hi sunshine hi lanny I went there too (astro.com) to try and figure out how to answer that question but I couldn't get a progrssion for any day other than the present. Good to know there is a program out there that will do that.

lllog and lalalinda, thank you for your replies! Does the astrologer usually look at individual progressions over time (like, at fixed timepoints chosen over a period of time), or can they see the big picture (like, what transits over the whole time-period would play an important role)? I'm thinking of getting a report done by a pro, so I just wanted to know what to ask for.As far as going back in time, is there a way to get a chart for the day when two people met? I've heard people talk about this, but wasn't able to figure out how to do it myself. Thanks, Sunshine IP: Logged |

Hi Sunshine ~ You can do the chart for an event at astro.com. Go to Free Horoscopes, Extended Chart Selection, and click on Add a New Person. You can then choose Female, Male or Event. Happy Hunting!IP: Logged |

Coool! Thank you, Azalaksh!! I had SO much fun last night, "creating events" at Astrodienst, and trying to google info on interpreting those First Meeting charts, and Electional Astrology. I was up until 2 AM! There doesn't seem to be too much out there though. I think i will have to hunt down a pro to do it for me, unless anyone knows of any links with that kind of info? <hint, hint> Thanks again! Sunshine IP: Logged |

You can get at astro progressions and solar arcs for any day you want if you change the date where it says start date for charts marked with * on the right (which is always updated to the current day) or am I not understanding the question?!IP: Logged |
