ok ok seriously though... I think any aspect that would indicate a tendency towards overindulgence in the chart maybe.... I'm not too sure, maybe something like venus in pisces. I was told that was an 'overindulgent' placement.  IP: Logged |

Jupiter aspecting Venus maybe? Astrologer Susan Miller has written somewhere that Moon in Leo is best time to buy clothes and other things you want to make you stand out and shine. It seems to work for me. Or so I like to believe.

haha Im glad Aen brought up Jupiter that was my first thought, not having earth planets or a heavy earth influence could probably make one spendthrift, not having planets in the second house, or having a badly aspected second house, could mean financial distress or mismanagement of finances, badly aspected or overly comfy Jupiter can mean excess of all the worldly pleasures, like eating, sex, and spending money, oftentimes people with this placement are big on sex and food and gain weight faster than they lose money, (me me!), but luckily i have a stellium in house 2 that predicts i will actually be very well off in the future, so yay traditionally, leos are overly generous, geminis and sags can overspend way much, libras couldnt balance a checkbook if their life depended on it, pisces is too disorganized and unbalanced, and taurus, capricorn, scorpio, cancer, are supposed to be particularly good with finances, with cappy and scorp being the penny pinchers there, while cancers supposedly always save up for the rainy day but not necessarily true, ive seen many broke taureans and a couple of failure cappys, and some surprisingly successful gems and sags. so, i guess it depends more on overall placements and aspects rather than sun sign Love

When I've gone in and read my Daily Horoscope through astro.com, whenever there was a Jupiter/Moon or Jupiter/Venus contact, it would say things like "watch for too many sweets".Another possibility is if you have a Sun, Moon or Ascendent which occasionally has a weakness for overindulgence being transited by Jupiter or Venus. My Asc is in Taurus, so I get that a lot. I'd also consider those prone to overindulgence when it comes to food - Cancer, Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius. This would also include the Planets attributed to them, Venus, Moon, Pluto & Jupiter. And the Houses, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th & 9th. If it comes to money, maybe a harsh Saturn/Neptune Aspect? I would include harsh Aspects with the 2nd House, 7th House, 9th House and 12th House. It doesn't matter if one is rich or not-so-rich ... a little thick or really skinny ... a prude in bed or a wild animal ... overindulgence may be connected to wanting to escape from the current environment. ok, I went on a spending spree beginning april and it all makes sense. transiting uranus is conj natal jupiter and trans jupiter is conj mer ( dunno if merc factors here)..trans jupiter also squared sat, which probably loosens saturn's rein on spending trans nep was also opp sun and venus? spending on impulse?IP: Logged |

I generally hide my wallet and credit cards when Jupiter is making squares or oppositions to Venus.Beware of overspending!  "I want" seems to get easily converted to "I need" during these transits. IP: Logged |
