Hi. I am finding myself to be in perpetual pain that is something akin to my soul screaming in silent torture. It is beginning to deafen me. I'm finding it harder and harder to ignore the changes I sense in the world around me.

All I see is anger and greed and selfishness. Why are todays heroes yesterdays villains - and why are they worshipped with such vigour? That doesn't nessecarily mean just individuals but the traits of man that once were vice are now celebrated as virtue. We are shrinking as a species while our technology develops as if of itself.

Mother Earth is in agony and we are the cancer.

And I feel it all.

I understand how you feel, swerve.
But, I think that although mankind maybe the cancer it is also the cure. We have to look for the good and celebrate it. I send you my prayers and healing light.

Look for the good things that surrond you.

I can't find words that don't sound shallow, in response to what you have addressed.
But.. I have in my hand an oar, as I navigate the same depths.
Maybe that is enough to say.

Just don't drown.

I have truly been feeling that way for a while, especially the past two years. I feel like I don't belong in this time somehow. I don't like to say everything is wrong with the world or people, but I just dream of a world reaching for purity and innocence because its my inner picture of beauty and happiness. And I don't mean purity as in repression, I mean purity as in heart centered and full of love for life and people that transcends other unpleasant feelings and "twisted" desires (caused by repression in the first place). Does that make sense? I don't curse the world for the way it is, but I just feel we have more potential inside that most cannot see. Also I think our technological progression contributes to our shift in values by turning us away from all things spiritually powerful and unseen to all things physically powerful, such as money, status, violence, women's natural beauty being objectified....I could go on, but I won't. I have begun to remind myself of people's mental limitations and also of their immense beauty and potential, so that the world doesn't look half bad anymore.

Lets just say I feel your pain Swerve.

Hey Swerve, how ya doin?
well ok, like Pixie I don't know what to say because whatever I say is going to sound shallow. I'll try anyway.

Life is... well, life . You can't force people to change the way they are. Yes, that royally sucks, because some people are more aware of certain things than others, and virtually everyone is at a different level of understanding in life as well as about themselves.

I guess what it all boils down to is recognizing that in the long run, it's all ok. Mother Earth isn't going to mind, because she totally agreed to let everyone come down here and develop themselves. Think of it like when a mum lets her toddlers go all crazy on her with makeup. Yeah, there's a helluva lot she's got to fix after they're done, but she knew that was going to happen when she let them start in the first place. That's how they learn. And one day, the toddlers are going to grow up and (providing they're girls... oh ok, some guys too ), when she's all old and wrinkly, they'll paint on that makeup for her perfectly and she'll feel beautiful and loved.

Ok ok, horrible analogy I know. lol!

They way I think of it is like this- there is what we see on the surface, and then there is the deeper (or superconscious) level at which things happen. We don't always understand the superconscious why of things when we actually experience things. But, this level does exist. Stuff happens, but there's a method to the madness. Everyone's gotta grow. People are growing now. It happens. It's sad when some people 'grow' slower than others (subjectively, of course), but cest la vive.
Hang in there and try not to let it get you down.

Incidentally, it's strange that so many more people are beginning to feel this way. Hmmm....

Yes, the pain is sometimes overwhelming and it is difficult to understand how and why many of these terrible things happen and why some people are the way they are...mean, greedy, heartless. But, Swerve, there are many many good people trying to do good things...we just don't get much press. Look for the good...just remember to touch the rose you have to brave the thorns.
Sending you love.....

Swerve ~
Hope you don't think I'm a pompous idiot here, but.....here goes.
You are not the only one whose soul is screaming in silent torture, there are many of us who feel just like you do, you are not alone! What we who feel with this depth of empathy must do is be the examples for the life we envision. You are only one person, but you can touch many in the course of just one day, and you may not even realize that you have changed someone's life with just a few simple words or a gesture! Don't lose sight of all the good that surrounds us -- it may be pushed aside by the greed and meanness that we exist side by side with, but it's not GONE. Positive energy cannot be destroyed....for there to be light, there must also be darkness. We chose to incarnate and come down here to SchoolRoom Earth to learn. We wouldn't learn anything if everything was happy and beautiful. We only learn hard, poignant lessons from pain. Pat yourself on the back for having the courage and strength of heart and mind to come back here again to do battle with the Dark Entities!
I'm sending you hope and strength and light and love with this post.
Now, go out there and fight the good fight! If your government is doing something rotten, join a group that is trying to change it. Volunteer to help the Greens to do what they can to protect what's left of Mother Earth. Write to the editorial columns of your newspapers to get the word out that there are alternatives to this technological juggernaut we're all riding and hanging onto for dear life. Fight the pollution in your city by just picking up trash for an hour along your street. Work with kids at an after-school center. There's so much to be done that it can be overwhelming, but I just focus on one small deed that I can accomplish every day, even if it's just talking to someone with an opposing viewpoint.
Hang in there, Swerve, the feeling will pass, and you will be stronger for having survived it. You may even be overcome by a new sense of mission!
And Amen to Pixie, Bluemoon, LeoSweetHeart, alchemiest, and Saturn's Child. LSH, I really liked what you said, it was beautiful, I can't think of any better words to describe your post at this hour.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the responses. I have to make clear that the post wasn't for selfish reasons or a cry for help. Neither was it centered on myself, I would hope to have become wiser than that by now.

It was an exclamation of the troubled feeling I have that we are entering a storm. Perhaps the darkest one for a while, and the enemy this time is within. Far more so than obvious movements liike say Al Qaeda.

And I sense the darkness is growing unchecked and we may have one hell of a damage limitation job to do. I'm not even sure people may want to fight it.

I know this sounds a little unbalanced, but I am certain of this.

Hey Swerve, I felt like this on and off throughout my life and am sorry you are going thro it too. On a practical note, my sister bought me a gift of a book and cd by the hypnotist guy Paul McKenna and its called How to change your life in seven days and OMG Ive been following it for 3 days and feel completely DIFFERENT. I was really on the edge down down in the depths at the weekend and then started to listen to the cd and read the book and HEY PRESTO, I am beginning to feel great - please give it a try and anyonelse out there who feels the need. Mr McKenna is a wonderful wizard and his magick has certainly rubbed off on me - good luck, love and light to you all, Sue xxx

p.s. Swerve, I find dancing, singing and listening to music incredibly helpful? x

Hi Sue. I read that book last year and used the CD with it. It helped me change a lot of things and a year later I have a great job and earn better money as well as having followed the path of self-hypnosis and meditation.

I struggle with non-existant self-confidence in social arenas and with dating which scares me witless still however, and this is a particular type of pain for sure.

But what I mention here isn't about me. I have always had the ability to read things with a keen perception with a psychic energy to it on the grander scales and the focus is so far away from personal desire or disappointment.

They certainly don't feel connected in any way.

I do believe God still watches over us and Angels are always with us xxx
Life can seem hard and cruel sometimes xxx
.. I just hope God will teach us one day the true meaning of it all and why he wants us to learn so much, go through so many traumas and feel so much pain x

There's a lot we can't control, especially our own guilt feelings. Swerve have you analyzed where these feelings are coming from in your past? They maybe linked to your destiny somehow and you feel it and don't know it.

Do you feel these things in certain places or around certain people? I find it hard to analyze why I feel emotions sometimes. It can drive me nuts, but it does help to analyze.
