Do any of these ring true?
"When a planet makes an aspect with another planet, their combined energies blend and are forced to work together. A planet that does not form any of the major seven aspects is said to be unaspected and it operates on its own pure energy. The abundance of the natural energy of an unaspected planet often dominates the birth chart. It is quite common for a planet to form only one weak or minor aspect like a quincunx or semi-sextile and therefore it can be taken as unaspected. Unaspected planets are nearly always overtly expressed in a person's nature and they often dominate his chart. When unaspected planets occur in a birthchart, they should be observed closely as they have the capacity of changing the entire pysche of the individual.
Unaspected Mars - The raw energy of Mars when unaspected is capable of both physcial achievement and destruction. The unaspected Mars produces great athletic ability and deeds of bravery. War heroes and high ranking military officers have an unaspected Mars in their charts. Lord Baden Powell, the founder of Boy Scout Movement had an unaspected Mars."
"Insecurity and the Unaspected Planet
Another hallmark of unaspected planets is that they are often accompanied by feelings of insecurity. This insecurity is connected to a number of things. In the first place, the idea of "being in search of," that often expresses itself in a kind of restless feeling, I sometimes try to describe as a feeling of "hunger," or "yearning," or "being unfulfilled" in the area of that planet. A longing, too, but for what we don't know. It can't be described; it is diffuse and vague, and we can't really make anybody see what it's all about. Even if we have everything our hearts desire, this feeling can still be there. So it has absolutely nothing to do with external circumstances or with whatever we've achieved in life."
"Unaspected Mars -
Fierce determination; self preservation; energy looking for release."
I'd go and bring more info like Pixie suggested.
As for the Mars being in Libra, I can offer a little insight here perhaps, in an indirect way. My Mars is in Scorpio at a VERY early degrees - 0.50 degrees. Also, I've an unaspected Libra Sun (the Sign before Scorpio). Finding the point within myself from which to foster or draw motivation from has been a lifetime challenge. My Mars in Scorpio at 0.50 degrees means that when I was born, I was very "unknowledgable" as to its influence. Like having a very strong Scorpio Mars, but yet, naive and unaccomplished.
It can leave a lot of room for negativity to creep in. There were times when I found the only reason I was motivated to do a certain thing was through anger, which is a GREAT motivator, but ultimately exhausting and producing little positive results. That type of thing.
They say Libra's go through periods of big bursts of energy, but then periods when we seem complacent, unmotivated and lazy. With my Mars placement, it's been even moreso.
Enter my dutiful Venus Conjunct Pluto in Virgo, or my hardworking high-reaching Saturn in Capricorn in the 9th. Or my "respect my feelings Moon in Cancer" ... perhaps you get my point about how finding one's center can be EXTREMELY important, if not THE most important thing in life.
