I draw a fine line with lying. sometimes its impossible to get away from, like little white lies to avoid hurting someones feelings. But other than that only the truth.

Sagittarians stretching the truth? I think it honestly depends on the type of discussion. I'm a Sag myself and I don't approve of lying, even by omission. However, there are times when a little exaggeration is not really lying. Not in serious discussion but ... for example, a Sag parent retelling a fairytale to one of their kids and making it seem even more fantastic for pure entertainment. Sure, technically, s/he changed the content of the story and so calling it by it's name would be a bit of a lie, but is that really all that awful? Now, telling a "tall tale" of gossip around the water cooler about a new employee would be a different stretching-the-truth sort of situation and certainly counts as lying. I do know some Sags who apparantly don't distinguish between innocent elaborations for entertainment and mean-spirited elaborations for attention, however they are, in my personal experience, the minority.

I don't know too many Virgos but the ones I do know generally keep any info about themselves that they'd rather not discuss to themselves. They may lie if they feel threatened about being "found out" about something embarassing or painful to them, but generally they try to avoid those situations. Is that lying by omission to look better? I suppose to some it would be. However, I think we all have a reasonable right to expect some privacy/secrecy about ourselves and our lives and usually it's nobody's business but our own what we do. However, I've never known a Virgo to initiate a lie to look better, ie, to just strike up a conversation about their amazingly strict diet and exercise regimen (that doesn't exist) just because they are in the company of a very health-minded person.

I think some might be a little confused about the fish. Not telling you something is not lying to you. If I know something, I don’t have to tell you it - and as long as you don’t ask…I wont have to. I keep secrets and never gossip.

Unlike the archetypal Piscean, I’m stubborn and have no problem saying NO - especially if someone’s bugging me for info. Getting a secret out of me is near impossible.
