Author Topic:   I have a question DancingScorp11 unregistered posted May 11, 2005 06:11 AM               Is it me or do we have trouble telling people how we feel about them? I know I do, it may just be my sign but I think it's universal. Is it internal? Or is it deeply imbedded by American society? I mean if you think about it all day we look at models starving for food and we think it's beautiful....but there are starving nations.....and not too long ago a full figure was considered beautiful...? Now evryone lives off fast food and they see these models on every magazine cover and the self-esteem PLUMMITS, we're all prescribed some sort of drug for SOMETHING and the next thing you know we don't appreciate that internal instinct of who we are...everyone's trying to fit in. Beauty is totally external when it's what's inside...but our society totally hides that from us. Anyways...a long gripe about why people can't just be themselve's...but if you grew up without all those external influences would you be able to express your love to everyone you met without any fears? I don't understand why we can't just do that. I mean I do inside...and I"m sure it's the ego talking...but why are feelings made out to be so bad??? You obviously feel what you do for a reason...so why can't we just be true to that?
