An Observer unregistered	posted May 16, 2005 11:18 PM Thank you Fayte for illustrating my point. Emotion by definition can not be explained or described satisfactorily by intellect. Scorpio, for all its positive or negative characteristics, is drunk on emotion. Linda Goodman described the scorpio man as a master of reason and emotion. It should be expected then that certain scorpios will always utilise emotion more than reason. Those which rely on negative emotions will thus always self destruct in some form or another unless they are willing to learn from their experiences. It is ironic though to think of emotion in terms of positive or negative based on the success the world attributes to it. Dont we know how easy it is to twist emotion? How many people can choose self destruction as a reasonable choice? What kind of people are willing to sacrifice their own well being? Do they listen to their hearts or their minds? Scorpios, Eagles, Grey Lizards all have to deal with their emotions in some form at some time or another. At the end of it all, one can always go in to the nature versus nurture debate about a person, and with scorpios it is the same. IP: Logged

Nature/Nurture A Scorpio has to struggle against the hardships of life, and not grow bitter and worse, vengeful, while not letting themselves fall into the hedonistic pleasures, both of which can lead to the clouding of sound mind and logical reasoning. Been there done that. Moving on. But the past does at times rear up and must be dealt with, but each time it becomes easier. A Scorpio has to learn to love and accept themselves. We are alot more sensitive to others than most believe, and we do care. I think perhaps we scare others with our passionate intensities, for anything we are so about.We sometimes get going with a full head of steam and when we stop to take a breath, and look behind us, yes, some are applauding us, but many more are standing still in utter horror or shock, and some even are shaking their fists at us. An Observer unregistered	posted May 16, 2005 11:53 PM I agree with you fayte. Emotion gives scorpionic action and outlook a depth which is unparalleled when channeled and utlised properly. Any action that has sound reason and pure emotion as the driving force behind it is bound to be spectacular....either as a failure or a success. Regardless of the success of any such endeavour, the reasoning behind it or the way a person felt about it has to be taken into account and used as a lesson. Scorpios learn from highs and lows both, and can improve themselves. Grey lizards or Scorpions however may not make that choice and over time self destruct. As the age old axiom states...'those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it." Hence a scorpio has to let reason co-exist with emotion, no matter whatever his/her inner demons are. Therein lies the transformation. Incidentally my sun, mercury, venus, mars and uranus are in scorpio. IP: Logged

I do not always have the details at the top of my head, but I know enough of where to find the information, to supply the details to what I already know. I like doing that, because then I do learn more, and get more details added to what I already knew. And so I keep gathering up pieces here, bits there. I'm still learning! Also thank you for reminding me of the two Scorpios I do admire! They just were not listed in that particular source. As for the goddess kali, I am interested very much in any religion, especially the non western ones! It drives me absolutely nuts when some of the books I would love to read of them, have no English translation version! I think perhaps I need to learn some other languages. IP: Logged
