I had always assumed that the Composite Chart is the main chart of two people. However, I came across this in my Magi Astrology book which says otherwise:

"When two persons begin a relationship, they only have one astrological chart that rules their relationship: the COMPANIONSHIP CHART. It is the chart of the time when the two persons' eyes first meet. The Planetary Geometry of that instant of time is the most influencial astrological force on the outcome of the relationship that ensues, until the two persons make love for the first time. Then THAT time becomes the astrological chart of their relationship, and this chart CO-EXISTS with the Companionship Chart. We will refer to the second chart as the LOVE CHART.
The Love Chart will rule their relationship until this chart is overridden by a Wedding Chart, and then the Wedding Chart takes precedence. If the two persons never get married, but they've made love, then their Love Chart is the primary chart of their relationship. If two people never make love, the chart of their relationship is based on the moment they first see each other. This is the COMPANIONSHIP CHART. If two people never met, then the chart of their relationship would be that of the first time they spoke on the phone or corresponded, even by mail or e-mail. We call this the Distant Relationship Chart. However, once they meet, the Distant Relationship Chart is superceded by the chart of their first meeting, which then becomes their Companionship Chart.
Nothing supercedes the Marriage Chart unless there is a divorce; then the Love Chart is back in force, and the chart of the wedding is dissolved. Once a marriage is dissolved through a divorce, the Marriage Chart can never be revived. If the same two persons get married again, they have a New Marriage Chart, which has the Planetary Geometry of the day of their second wedding."

...I have found that transits to both my Companion Chart & the Composite Chart with Mr. Aries seems to both work. Although it is amazing that on the days in which there was a Seduction or Romantic Aspect in the sky, this was also reflected in a similar way in our Companionship Chart and also in our moods & interactions on those days. The only problem with the Magi theory that the Campanion Chart being the chart of a relationship is that many people do not know the day that they first met. Of course, if they have made love and/or gotten married they can thankfully use those charts instead.

So has anyone else tested the theory of transits working to the Companion, Love or Marriage Charts? I would love to get some second opinions on this to see if the Magi peeps are right regarding this subject.

hi sassygirl,
I didn't realize that it was called that but yes. If you're dating the first date is important and the surest sign that it won't work is a Rx Mercury.

Is it still a composite chart, or just a single chart of that moment as if it were a birth itself?

I really want to find something out!!

Tranquil Poet ~ I need the date of when the two of you met as that would be the Companionship Chart.

AcousticGod ~ It's the chart of the moment itself. According to the Magi people, the First Meeting is like a birth of the relationship and it instantly becomes the chart of the relationship.
...That is, until the relationship is consummated and/or leads to marriage, in which case THOSE charts become the main Relationship Chart instead.

Here is the order of all the Relationship Charts in a nutshell:

DISTANT RELATIONSHIP CHART: The chart of the first moment when the two people meet from afar (by phone, online, e-mail) and have not yet met in person.

COMPANIONSHIP CHART: The chart of the first moment when two people meet in person. Replaces the Distant Relationship Chart.

LOVE CHART: The chart of the moment when two people make love for the first time. Replaces the Companionship Chart.

WEDDING CHART: When the couple gets married. Replaces the Love Chart. In the case of a divorce, the Wedding Chart is no longer valid. (and the Magi book doesn't specify, but I assume that the moment of the divorce becomes the new Companionship Chart for the couple) If they get married again, they have a brand new Wedding Chart.

oops a correction to that last post:
I just now found this in what I had typed in the original post (duh! ) When two people divorce, they revert back to using the Love Chart.

It's a touch difficult to read a couple's fate through like a normal chart not designed to be for a couple. I did make a chart for the time I was thinking about.

For an example, here is the Companionship Chart for when I first met Mr. Aries in person:

SUN: Sagittarius (13.13)

MOON: Taurus (10.07)

MERCURY: Capricorn (03.40)

VENUS: Capricorn (10.50)

MARS: Pisces (23.54)

JUPITER: Virgo (17.34)

SATURN: Cancer (11.46)

URANUS: Aquarius (29.12)

NEPTUNE: Aquarius (10.55)

PLUTO: Sagittarius (19.30)

CHIRON: Capricorn (16.06)

JUNO: Sagittarius (13.13)

TRUE NODE: Taurus (20.26)

SOUTH NODE: Scorpio (20.26)

-----------------------

...Looking at this chart, I'm a bit mad at myself for picking out such a crappy day to first meet. Saturn was exactly opposing Venus. And Pluto was squaring Jupiter. And the Moon was exactly squaring Neptune. But worst of all, Saturn was quincunxing both the Sun and Neptune, with the Neptune aspect being exact. And in the declinations, it gets worse: Saturn was contra-paralleling the Sun. So yet another crappy Saturn-Sun aspect. *cries* Picking this date to meet, I doomed us! lol But thank goodness there are some saving graces: the Moon was exactly trining Venus, which is got to be one of the best Romantic aspects in which to meet. And there was a Cinderella transit as Chiron was trining Jupiter, which is supposed to be an especially good one. And interestingly, Juno is conjunct the Sun in the EXACT degree. Hmmmm...
And plus, on that day Mr. Aries & I were both having three Cinderella transits and three Golden transits, which are supposed to be ideal for meeting someone for the first time, apparently the more Cinderella & Golden transits, the better.
And thankfully there were no Heartbreak or Nuclear Clashes in the sky, so maybe we're not totally doomed after all.

And lol..unfortunately you're stuck with the Love Chart. That is, until your guy walks you down the aisle.
..And of course you still have the Composite Chart to fall back on if the Love Chart sucks really bad.

Tanquil Poet ~ check your inbox

sweet_face ~ Here is your Companionship Chart:

June 4, 2005

SUN:[ Gemini (14.09)
MOON: Taurus (18.36)
MERCURY: Gemini (15.48)
VENUS: Cancer (01.18)
MARS: Pisces (24.48)
JUPITER: Libra (08.55)
SATURN: Cancer (24.55)
URANUS: Pisces (10.43)
NEPTUNE: Aquarius (17.32)
PLUTO: Sagittarius (23.25)
CHIRON: Aquarius (02.52)
JUNO: Aries (26.14)
TRUE NODE: Aries (21.41)
SOUTH NODE: Libra (21.41)

MAGI INTEPRETATIONS:

SUN CONJUNCT MERCURY: Means a communicative relationship, so if you are someone whose requirements in a relationship include discourse, communication, and exchanging viewpoints, then you should definitely include this aspect in selecting a relationship chart. This aspect does not add anything else to the relationship.

MERCURY TRINE NEPTUNE: (no intepretation given)

VENUS QUINCUNX CHIRON (Cinderella): Singularly the best aspect to include in a love chart, as it greatly increases and nurtures mutual love, and gives birth to the desire, urge, and need to marry and build a family. It's also a great aspect time to first meet prospective in-laws. Whenever possible, include this aspect in selecting any relationship chart, unless you only want a fling (in which case avoid this aspect or you'll end up with a serious relationship.)

MARS TRINE SATURN: Any aspect of Mars and Saturn reduces sexual energy; the Enhancement (trine, conjunction, quincunx, parallel, contra-parallel) does so to a lesser degree.

MARS SQUARE PLUTO: A very bad time to try to make love. During this aspect time, the men can have problems with impotency and/or will simply be disinterested. Obviously a first-time seduction during this aspect time has a high risk of disaster. You do not want this Turbulent Aspect (square, opposition) in any love chart.

JUPITER QUINCUNX URANUS: If you're looking for a discreet affair that nobody will notice, don't begin an affair under this aspect, since it has the ability to make an affair very public. (Bill Clinton & Monica Lewinsky's affair began with this aspect.) For a Wedding Chart, this is a great aspect to have. It helps to make the marriage well known, causing you to be envied by others. The downside is that you may prefer your privacy.

SATURN QUINCUNX PLUTO (Saturn Clash): Both the Enhancement and the Turbulent versions of this aspect are ones that must be avoided in any love chart, especially a Wedding Chart. The aspects tends to create a relationship that is turmultuous, with unexpected severe downturns.

SATURN SQUARE JUNO (Saturn Clash): (no intepretation given)

URANUS PARALLEL SOUTH NODE: (no intepretation given)

NEPTUNE PARALLEL PLUTO: (no intepretation given)

PLUTO TRINE JUNO: (no intepretation given)

PLUTO TRINE NORTH NODE/SEXTILE SOUTH NODE: (no intepretation given)

Here ya go, TP:

SUN: Taurus (26.06)
MOON: Aries (27.59)
MERCURY: Taurus (00.23)
VENUS: Gemini (26.06)
MARS: Cancer (05.53)
JUPITER: Virgo (09.06)
SATURN: Cancer (10.22)
URANUS: Pisces (06.32)
NEPTUNE: Aquarius (15.23)
PLUTO: Sagittarius ( 21.33)
CHIRON: Capricorn (26.00)
JUNO: Capricorn (24.44)
TRUE NODE: Taurus (11.16)
SOUTH NODE: Scorpio (11.16)

MAGI INTEPRETATIONS:

SUN TRINE CHIRON (Cinderella aspect): One of the most favorable aspects under which to get married, because it is representative of marriage & family. This is singularly the very best aspect to meet your prospective in-laws for the first time. The symbolisms of this aspect literally signify a person of the family, and you will be viewed as such. In love affairs, if your intention is to just have a fling, this aspect is not good for starting a love affair. Affairs started under this aspect will likely be long-lasting and give rise to a desire for marriage or pregnancy.

SUN TRINE JUNO: (no intepretation given)

MERCURY PARALLEL JUPITER: This is a very auspicious time to secure a better understanding of your loved one through discourse and exchange of views. This enhancement reduces the possibility of misunderstandings and argumentativeness. It's good for all Relationship Charts.

VENUS QUINCUNX CHIRON (Cinderella aspect): Singularly the best aspect to include in a love chart, as it greatly increases and nurtures mutual love, and gives birth to the desire, urge, and need to marry and build a family. It's also a great aspect time to first meetprospective in-laws. Whenever possible, include this aspect in selecting any relationship chart, unless you only want a fling (in which case avoid this aspect or you'll end up with a serious relationship.)

MARS TRINE URANUS: A bad aspect to include in a Wedding Chart because the Uranian influence causes excessive desire for change, thus destablilizing emotional relationships. But this is a very good aspect under which to begin a fling. The aspect creates a sexual overtone, and the affair should end quickly without complications.

JUPITER SEXTILE SATURN: (no intepretation given)

JUPITER OPPOSITE URANUS: This is a horrible aspect because it imparts infamy. What is done under this aspect will be well known, but for the wrong reasons.

JUPITER PARALLEL URANUS: If you're looking for a discreet affair that nobody will notice, don't begin an affair under this aspect, since it has the ability to make an affair very public. (Bill Clinton & Monica Lewinsky's affair began with this aspect.) For a Wedding Chart, this is a great aspect to have. It helps to make the marriage well known, causing you to be envied by others. The downside is that you may prefer your privacy.

JUPITER TRINE NORTH NODE/SEXTILE SOUTH NODE: (no intepretation given)

SATURN SEXTILE NORTH NODE/TRINE SOUTH NODE: (no intepretation given)

PLUTO PARALLEL CHIRON (Cinderella aspect): One of the best aspects for a marriage chart, it is very rare. It signifies a powerful marriage and family or an unstoppable love affair. You must take advantage of this when it occurs because personal relationships commenced under this aspect have a formidable momentum, which greatly increases chances of marriage. A marriage with this aspect is extraordinarily powerful and financially strong, but it has no influence on happiness, which must come from other aspects.

CHIRON CONJUNCT JUNO: (no intepretation given)

Thanks sassy!!!!

BTW...I did not include the Moon in any of those intepretations as I would need the exact time for the Moon's aspects to be accurate.

hi sassygrrrl!

Wow, this is the first time I have heard of these different charts. I know about The First Meeting Chart, but the others are new.

I was wondering if you could do a Love Chart for me? How do you compare aspects? It it comparing the chart/day you first met with either his or my chart? Do you need the exact time? Sorry, I feel like I'm asking too many questions!

here's the day: 5/26/05
(around 4:30AM, I think...lol )

thank you very much!!!

Howdy Sassygrrrl!
I am interested in the "Magi Astrology book" you have referred to. Where would I get it / who is the author? I think i'd like to read something like that! Hearing about these "Cinderella transits" & "Golden transits" along with doing the astrology of when I 1st met my love would be very insightful. Thanks in advance!!!

Hi Hexxie

The name of the Magi book is: 'Magi Astrology: The key to success in love and money'. The Magi website http://www.magiastrology.com/ has more info about it and where to order it from.
