I know that certain elements in the chart are supposed to reveal certain things about the mother and father (the moon represents the mother, etc.) When a child is adopted, do those planets represent the biological parents, the adoptive parents, or both?IP: Logged |

both. You can see adoption in a 4th house Neptune or for the adoptive mother Moon opposite Neptune. (there will be additional aspects to support this)IP: Logged |

Heh, I have 4th House Neptune, and I wasn't adopted. I just felt like saying that. :-P IP: Logged |

I have a 4th house Neptune also.My mother wasn't much of an influence on my life. My father's sister was...and as far as I'm concerned, she's my Mom. In a roundaboutkindaway, that's my adoption. Angela

Woah.!!!It just occured to me that this might totally apply to a friend of mine who was adopted at age 3. I've had trouble figuring out an accurate birthtime for an accurate natal chart. I just went to astro.com and started playing around with his chart, trying to see what it would look like if Neptune was in the 4th and woah, it looks like I might have hit pay dirt! Making that adjustment, he has a more than likely late Virgo rising, which, in retrospect might fit way better than the Sag rising I thought he had. My little brothers both have this rising and both have sunnier dispositions, witha more broad-vision approach to life, not bogged down by details, and the friend is not as much, for little things bug him, one unkind word will send him into a bitter spin of cutting remarks, and he's very concerned with every scrape and bruise... Interesting, to say the least, as a Virgo rising also gives the aforementioned friend Sun opposite Neptune, which would mean distance from the father, and he was never involved in the friend's life. ------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |
