A yod from Jupiter to Saturn and its 'focal' planet is the Sun. IP: Logged |

Angel,Aspect patterns (such as yods) don't exist in relationship chart synastries or in any charting in which one chart is around the other. If you are talking about a relationship chart done as a single chart (such as a composite chart), then a focal planet is the focus of the yod energy. In this case the Sun (self-expression, also dating). Expressing myself, Tim IP: Logged |

It's in the composite and davison. Jupiter's in Capricorn in the 1st, Saturn's in Scorpio in the 10th, and the Sun's in Gemini in the 5th.IP: Logged |

Almost,The yod is an energy FOCUS not a "clashing". The result is that Jupiter energy (expanion) and Saturn energy (duty, also career) focus and highlight Sun (self-expression). Yoding, Tim IP: Logged |

I did my chart and someone else's for synastry, and was interested to find a *grand trine* he completed. His Venus, My Venus (and Neptune, which are conjunct) and my Saturn. IN fire, respectively. Leo, Sag and Aries. That is pretty interesting. I think I am right to think the energy we bring to each other's life is necessary ( I could put it better based upon that same Venus/Neptune conjunction, but I digress ) His Vertex is conjunct my Stellium, which includes my Sun. What I meant was that by the looks of the configuration it seems as though the effects of Saturn and Jupiter and their placements might ruffle or disrupt the flow of the 5th house Sun... work seems to get in the way of fun.

The yod seems to specifically emphasize something between love and work... I want to know if I'm correct about that.IP: Logged |

hveatch -Synastry Chart is when you put two Charts (usually best portrayed in a Wheel) together so you can see where each person's Planets fall in relation to the other person's. Can also be used to look at a date of an event. See in the graphic below? You can see where in the entire Wheel, there are two Sun's, two Mercury's, etc. One belonging to one date (or person), another belonging to another date (or person). You can see where one person's Sun lands in the other person's Wheel, such as if you Sun lands in your partner's 7th House, or whatever. See? So if your Sun lands in your partner's 7th, it's like you illuminate their 7th House issues, etc. You'll learn more as you go. It's not possible to memorize what it all means. Example. If you have a bunch of planets landing in someone else's 11th House, you'll probably place a lot of value in "friendship". In their 10th House, value on serious matters, etc. You'd do this for each Planet. If it's your Saturn landing in another's 5th House, you may make the other person feel restricted. There's a whole lot of other things you'll notice when looking at two Charts in Synastry, those are just a few examples. Hope that helps.

I was told that this composite has Yod's in it. Could someone use this chart to explain a little better. I'm trying to understand this but I'm a visual person and need to see what's being explained so my brain can connect the two together. Maybe others can learn as well. Thanks in advance. IP: Logged |

Hi Sagitaur. I can't see any yods in the chart you posted. From Wikipedia: "In astrology a yod is said to form whenever one planet forms quincunxes (150° aspects) to two other planets that are separated by a sextile (60° aspect)"So the quincunx would be the green line on the chart, the one from Venus to the moon, the moon, but you would also need Venus to be joined up with another planet, in sextile, and then for that plant to make a quincunx to the moon. This chart below shows a few yods (six actually) they look like fingers. IP: Logged |
