AHHHHHH! I get so pi$$ed of when people call me an arrogant little "know-it-all". I don't know why I come off like that to people. I frequently claim to be stupid, actually. I don't know a lot about anything, and never claimed to. I really don't understand WHY people always tell me that I'm an "arrogant little 'know-it-all'". GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!

Is this some quality of Virgo rising or something? Or is there something else in my chart that could give me this little quality of people thinking this about me?

sorry i'm not much help. but here's some info on mars in 5th maybe it could be useful...i also have mars in aqua but in 10th house
you should look at your 10th houses if you have any.

Mars in 5th House

You are driven to excel in any form of physical and creative expression--sports, theatrics, arts and crafts, whatever. This urge to express yourself, to speak out and be heard, propels you into many an interesting situation.

MARS in 5th HOUSE: ardent; stimulated intellect
Mars in the fifth house indicates individuals who concentrate much energy and vitality on creative projects, children, romance, and/or various physical pleasures. This Mars position indicates love of children, and further, implies a high potential for procreation. Long on passion, they may tend to be impatient with the subtle intricacies of romance. Those whose life style does not include bearing children or engaging in romantic adventures themselves may deal with these subjects on a professional or impersonal level, or they may sublimate their energy into other creative and satisfying activities. The energy of fifth house Mars suggests vivid imagination and strong idealistic or spiritualist tendencies. These individuals are also likely to be sports enthusiasts as well as participants. Physical pleasures are pursued with enthusiasm, and their sense of humor may extend to playing practical jokes. This position of Mars relies heavily on the maturity of those who inherit it. If there are negative factors in their personality or background, they may become grossly self-indulgent, egotistical, or waste their skills and talent.

What comes to mind...

Virgo ASC
Sun Squaring Saturn
Moon Square Venus

Review these aspects and know them inside and out....learning how to use their strengths and reducing their weakness in your attitude toward others and in general. I think it will not only be helpful to you but will improve your relations with people throughout your life!

Why this one, GemStar?

Moon square Venus
The square formed between the Moon and Venus shows you are apprehensive about forming close emotional ties because of the responsibility they bring. Something in your upbringing or experiences makes it hard for you to admit your feelings. This aspect doesn't make you reject companionship, but instead you form connections that are not desirable or for some reason not workable. It may be preferable for you to be independent for some time until you have learned to understand people and have an accurate sense of their motives. A high degree of emotionalism and sentimentality must be understood and overcome before entering into a binding commitment.

This one I chose so that you could learn about how you interact with others...people may sense certain things which may make it difficult for them to interact with you.

Hey I kinda sorta have Moon Square Venus. Well at least it comes up in astro.com that way, even though I have Moon 15 Pisces Square Venus 24 Sag!?!

Could also be that Mercury in Taurus and Mars in Aquarius both stubborn and fixed signs. And Mercury opposite Pluto, and Mars square Pluto could make you come across as arrogant? Also Sun Square Saturn might have some influence. But I haven't seen that side of you on LL

Who is calling you this? Is it your parents? Kids at school? Sorry - astrology or not, but I find this kind language to be condescending, tagged with jealousy. Especially to a fifteen year old young person.

It may not be you.

WOW...I blew right past those aspects!! Here you go....

Mars Square Pluto
You have a considerable amount of power at your disposal, but you may run
into some problems when you try to use it constructively. You are likely to
see other people as a threat, and you may either try to dominate them, using
excessive force in the process, or you may feel that you have to resort to
unfair tactics to get your own way. While you see life this way, you are
likely to become involved in serious battles, which do you little lasting
good whether you win them or lose them. You need to learn to allow yourself
and other people the same rights and responsibilities, then you will be able
to use your transformative abilities to change situations and attitudes
which really need altering, rather than to waste your energy fruitlessly.

Mercury Opposition Pluto
Your conscious attempts to organise your experiences have a compulsive quality
about them, and for you the issue of method is tied in with the issue of force.
You may have a hard time getting others to agree with your opinions, for they
either appear to put your ideas down strongly, or you may try to impose your
opinions on others in such a way that they resist you. In either case you need
to organise yourself better, then you will make the best use of your powerful
and inquisitive mind, instead of getting involved in power struggles over issues
which are not really all that important. For you, first thoughts may not always
be the best, and you may need to carry on a sort of internal debate with your-
self before you finally make up your mind on any issue of importance.

Haha, some astrologers use up to 10 degrees with aspects concerning the Sun and Moon.

Thank you GemStar and DayDreamer.

I think it's your communication style. From your Aries Sun you get a certain irrationalism where you take things personally instead of simply arguing your point. You need to take the time to entertain ideas that go against your own, and possibly find the values behind those ideas. You can't do that if you're only thinking about what you're going to say next. Your Mercury is in the fixed sign of Taurus. Taureans are relentless (stubborn) in arguments, though they argue mostly to learn. Throw in your age and all your Cardinal signs, and I would say that you're fairly competitive, and want the satisfaction of winning (and rubbing it in).

I'd suggest not letting those emotions get to you so much. Other people have other ideas for a reason. It's easier to persuade people by offering up another option than it is to come at it from a challenging viewpoint. Just tone down the aggression and it'll make it easier for people to accept your point of view without calling you names. When someone starts to get aggressive with you, sit back and say, "I'm just saying that..." Be nonchalant about it, and force them into a discussion instead of an arguement. It's much easier to discuss things than to argue about them.

I think it's the Virgo rising + Sag Moon!

(I have a similar quality that's largely due to my Moon in Virgo + Sag rising.)

everybody is great help here.

i think its as simple as your sun in aries. they do tend to want to prove themselves and assert thier opinions/perceptions and do so with insulting confidence

aries also get flustered and *rageful* when you tell them something about themselves uncomplimentary and they aren't expecting it.

i like aries. they are so innocent and sweet, you can't stay mad at them. my best girl friend is an aries sun, 20 deg.

Nove,

You have Jupiter (expansion, also wisdom) conjunct (energy is combined with) Midheaven (outer world), so you seem to have great, expansive wisdom in the outer world. ANY planet conjunct the Midheaven will "show off" whether or not we like or want it to! Just be careful that, whatever THEY think, YOU know you don't know it all...knowing that you know nothing is the path of true wisdom (as someone once said).

Knowing and not knowing,

Tim

You have just experienced transitting Mars conjunct your Natal Sun.

With this aspect (and especially in Aries) it fires up the already hot Arien. Temper, fever, careless accidents, verbal disagreements are par for the course.

cheer up, its over

Haha, I have the feeling it's gonna flare up again in abundance soon. It's about to conjunct my Mercury.
