i don't carry a vendetta against any one being here. but i do refuse to watch dishonesty. most of the people who come here are not like the majority of the population. we've been through something~ sometimes traumatic, painful..& we've reached for astrology to learn about ourselves and about life situations~ there is a common thread. learning about thy self.

Linda Goodman brought different people together. She made astrology mainstream. You see people posting from India, where vedic astrology is the general practice. That is a pretty high achievement for Linda in my opinion.

I don't recall how many languages her books are written in, but isn't it great to have a forum in which we can have direct access to other cultures, views & ideas? leoelf, come on. Who cares if you're black. You've come to the wrong place to air your racial woes.

What is bothersome to me.. call it vendetta if you like.. is dishonesty in any form. Not telling the truth, by ommision or otherwise is the biggest hurt, including something as minor as using two screen names simultaneously. I feel for Pid and Pixie. I emailed them the link to the thread because I thought they deserved to know what was being said.

And leoelf, i do have a life. I don't need a "boyfriend"~ I have a family.. a lovely daughter and husband. We are not perfect and I am never 100% where I want to be, but You are reaching way far with your willy nilly insults. They are without basis and you know it. Try again.

Anyway, enough said on the topic.

Thanks Randall for letting us come here. I know it costs money to run this site and I know your energy must be spent~ Sorry for the trouble.

The worst ones, believe it or not, actually come from my husband, who I am soon to be divorcing. He and his family are Little Englanders, okay? (and Christ, I wish I had known them better before I married him) - the only cheese his father will eat is Cheddar, or the only classical music he will listen to is Elgar. Because they are English. His aunt and uncle won't eat pasta because it's "foreign muck" and were muttering when a family of Indians came to look round a business they were buying, they weren't sure abt. selling it to them because they didn't want "darkies taking over" (if you can believe this - outrageous in this day and age, but true).

I have had comments from my husband on a REGULAR basis: "don't mention the war", "put the jackboots on, why don't you, and invade Poland", and derogatory comments abt. what Germans "do" and "don't do", and coming from s/o who is supposed to be my nearest and dearest, that is a bit rich, to put it mildly. But as I said, I am divorcing him, and not just because of that reason either, because there are many other aspects of his personality that I find distasteful.

I cannot watch any documentaries abt. concentration camps. Likewise my husband got the DVD of The Pianist and I could not watch that either, stuff like that makes me cry - the scene where they push the old man in the wheelchair off the balcony made me feel physically sick. I said to him afterwards, no German jokes, please - but that only stopped him temporarily. My grandparents were ordinary people, my grandfather even got beaten up by a bunch of Nazis because he refused to fight in the war. So calling me Hitler is pretty insulting to say the least. But I try to get on as best I can and live my life regardless.

no attitude, of course just curious...sorry i just dont like to see discord, if theres no need to be any. it just seems like theres a lot of arrogant people here who are just too cocky to let it go and admit their own mistakes. but whatever,

none of my business, ill just go read something else...

PS: I have no problem with Piduau or Pixie AT ALL, or anyone else mentioned that I know of. They are oldtimers here, and deservingly so.
