Hi! I have a question..I was reading past threads and there was this one about element/plante/sign percentages and which ones effected your chart the most....

Well, in signs I have a high percentage or Scorpio and Sag. I am a Cap, so does this mean that I also have Scorpio and Sag tendencies?

Thanks for any reply!!

I saw that link i think. The one that gives you percentages on astro.com?? I'd take it that you strongly have sag and scorp tendencies. Mine was mainly aries and scorpio and libra. That all makes sense. Does yours, i always fancy the pants off men with Scorpio on them too, do you???

Wow, you know what Loopy? I have a thing for Scorp guys too!! (and other guys who are mysteries) my last love interest had some Scorp tendencies...but I am not so sure about where the Sag fits in....I never really related to the Sag sun type thing...too much freedom and stuff for my Cap sensibility I guess! Lol.

I think I have a stellium in Scorp and Sag too...mars, pluto, and Sat in scorp. And, venus, uranus, neptune, and jupiter in Sag...

Yes. That means those energies are strong in you, so you should also read about those Signs as well as the Planets and Houses which they correspond with. Example: Read about Scorpio, Pluto & the 8th House. Don't read them as if it was your Sun, but once you get their symbolism down, you can incorporate it with how those energies merge into your Chart.

The reasons why an energy gets a high percentage can be quite various. So you'll want to sift through your Chart, look at your Wheel, etc., to see what other nuances are present. Example: A T-Square, Conjunctions, Mutual Receptions, etc.

Don't expect to get it all in one sitting. This is a life-long process. But you'll definately be on your way once you start to look them over. Feel free to ask for help on anything specific you're stuck with. Happy trails!

Hey...thanks for the welcome! Yeah, I have been dabbling in astrology for some years now, but never fully grasping somethings comepletly...the whole mutual recpetion is new to me...

My chart seems to be very split in half:
Optimistic and free (Sag emphasis) and VERY serious(Scorp, 8th house sun, sin in Cap...etc..) I am trying to see how I can integrate it all.

There is so little info on the 8th house! All I ever get is info on "inheritances" and interests in the occult....isn't there something else about it that someone knows? Also I have pluto, sat, and mars in scorp, in the 5th which is pretty heavy you think??

But I think the sun in the 8th is a pretty big deal in my chart....

I'll look some more stuff up, thanks!

geminirising26 -

I wonder if having all those Scorpio placements in the 5th makes you interested expressing your understanding of sex to others?

And then having your Sun in the 8th, which is the House that Rules Scorpio. There we go again. It may help you be less overbearing as well.

Stuff on the 8th House? I don't know what you've read. But here's some stuff which brings up the 5th & 8th more :::

"Eighth House: Sex, death, rebirth (in the sense of regeneration). Since this is opposite the 2nd house (which rules YOUR money, possessions, and values) the 8th house rules other people’s money, possessions, and values, your ability to utilize the possessions of others for your own ends. By extension, it rules insurance and tax matters, as well as the influence that the values of others have on you (social values). It can also indicate what influence, if any, you can have on the values of those around you, including the society you live in. As far as sex goes, the 5th house may rule romance, but the 8th house gets down to the sex act itself, your style of sex, your tastes, what turns you on. This includes any fetish you may have. Now you see why astrology readings are confidential. By the way, if you like to play music during sex and you happen to get involved with someone who has the planet Mars in the 8th house AND the sign of their Mars is Gemini, well the music you should play is the Minute Waltz! This house corresponds to the 8th sign, Scorpio, sign of sex, death, regeneration, and other people’s money."

This is a little different too -

"Astronomically speaking, the eighth house is that one-12th sector of the local sky midway between the Midheaven and the western horizon (see above picture) occupied by planets in the two to four hours before they set. Astrologically, the eighth house asks us to enlarge or sacrifice our ego boundaries in order to enter into relationship or union with another or others. To do so, some aspect of our personality or ego must die. Usually it is some thing, not some one, that dies, and with the passing away of that limiting aspect of our personality we experience a releasing freedom.

Herein is the second aspect of this house: resurrection and rebirth. The eighth house rules personal evolution, growth, transformation and change, death, rebirth, sex, possessions of a relationship, legacies, inheritance, taxes, rituals, initiations and the occult, the astral body and reincarnation, and the severing of ties to that to which we are attached. A planet in the eighth indicates that a personal facet of your psyche is under pressure to work more cooperatively or jointly with others. Many planets here signify a person whose life can be characterized by change. Such individuals may find continuous states of affairs monotonous, and periodically bring about changes or crises to feel truly alive."

i had to join in on this conversation cuz that post on the rank of planets and signs is what made me sign up here! i thought that was really cool! i was kinda surprised that my most powerful planet was pluto followed by the sun and then my most powerful sign was libra followed by scorpio!

like geminirising26, i also have some scorpio placements in the 5th - venus & uranus & n. node & one more thing that looks like a circle with an X thru it (is that pars fortunae or what?) and my moon is in the 8th house rather than the sun, like gem26!

i especially liked reading the stuff on the 8th house astro junkie, so thx!!

Yeah, that thing was really cool, as a matter of fact, I just made a post about it in the Astrology Course forum.
My main three influences were Sun, Venus, and Uranus I think.
