Topic: Public versus Private Life-10th House

Hey, I was wondering if any of you believe that in a chart one can predict the topic of gossip and speculation of that person in a chart or if that person will be in the public eye.
I was reading at some site about planets being above the horizon and whatnot...and especially planets in the 10th house in career. And those with lots of planets above the horizon are more driven to succeed in the outside world, and those with the opp are more concerned with their inner self...Does anyone think that their 10th house planets or sign ruling that area directly corresponds to their career? acording to the theory , i should be an extremly introvert , behind the scene working person as i have just one planet above the horizon all others are below it .but the fact is , i am neither , behind the person to an extent , i like taking centre stage , complete control (though i can be said to be shy ) have always been in the group fights , so with me the theory doesn't work.IP: Logged |

Ok, I have nothing in my 10th house! Pisces is on that house cusp but it encompases mostly Aries. The 10th is the 1st place I look at someone's chart for career followed by it's opposite the 5th (for creativity n stuff). I only have a couple planets on the top of the horizon, moon in 8th and jupiter in 12th (chiron in the 11th if he counts hehe). Awhile back there was a post about the 8th house and fame or something like that... I am more naturally introverted even though I love talking to people. I come across quite reserved at 1st cuz I am hiding my shyness (although if you met me in person you'd NEVER know I was shy, so Shhh don't tell anyone  ). So I would definitely say this it true for me as far as being focused on inner self. Oh and I don't consider what i'm doin now my career  This is an aspect of life I am struggling with right now. Guess it's some sort of bitchy lesson I am needing to learn... ------------------

geminirising26 -Yes, I think it does - but not so much the career one ends up in as much as the career one always wishes they could be in. The 6th House seems to be more involved with the day-to-day work, or so I've learned here. ------------------

what would indicate fame in a chart? public life? any websites on the matter?
I have Uranus in Sag in the 10th house conjuncts my MC which is Sag as well....i have read on astro, i will have certain fame in my career, but its so basic in its reading, anyone else know about this? I've always been curious about this kind of subject.

Hexxie-I also have Pisces at the Midheaven. I have read that this means either a career in the arts or entertainment, or healthcare...or confusion about which type of career to pursue. Astrojunkie- That is an interesting idea about the 10th house representing what you would dream of doing and the 6th being the actual work you do...
I have an equal number of planets above and below the horizon, so I suppose I am both focused on the outside world, and the inner world...

What about transits, progressions, and all other projected charts? When a personal planet goes through the 1st or 10th house, has anyone ever experienced or noticed that their life or emotions suddenly become more on display somehow? IP: Logged |

yeah, neptune is in my first house (as it has apparently been there for a WHILE) right now, and Jupiter is in the Midheaven and I can say that yes, I feel that everybody and they momma knows my bussiness thanx to certain nosy ppl who have too much time on their hands!  IP: Logged |

My Neptune's been sitting in the 1st house (in Aquarius) as well. I'm not paranoid or conceited, but whenever I'm out everyone at least takes a glance at me...IP: Logged |

I don't know if its the New York in me  , but I don't like complete strangers making hardcore eye contact w/ me for more than a second yet it seems to happen to me alot. Makes me paranoid too!IP: Logged |

Yes I have the moon in the 10th progressed right now and my life is very much about being in the public eye, facing up to responsibilties even if they are not pleasant too. When it was in the 9th all I wanted to do was hide, eat, drink, create, but it wasn't good at all. I am dealing with the hangover.Right now I am dealing with total honesty in my relationships. I would say I am out a lot at parties, and weekends I am always out right now, But then last year I was cooped up in a relationship with a crazy gemini/taurus moon. He never let me out. So now I'm out! Natasha

I have Sun, Mars, Mercury conjunct my Midheaven, but I prefer to stay out of any limelight. I think I am more introverted. I also have Jupiter in the 4th house, so I cherish my privacy, and enjoy spending time alone in a corner pondering, day dreaming and observing life around me. IP: Logged |
