All of you Capsters (Sun, moon, other big Cap focal point), how has the past two years be like for you? Be as honest as you like.

And what if any transits that you feel have been particualrly hard on you over this time period?

I'm not a Cappy obviously but my close Capricorn friends have been put through the ringer. I have so many of them in my life, from infants/children women & men. It seems the common theme is loss. Financial/emotional..& a lot of personal growth and change. Now that Cancer is outta Saturn things are looking up.

Well, the general consensus among pro astrologers is that with various transits + the Saturn in Cancer deal, things have been rough for Caps in most cases. Of course, this varies from individual to individual depending on how the specific transit would allign with their natal chart.

I'm curious because I have no plaents in Cap, only 5th house cusp (and no planets in Cancer either, just Juno), but I *do* have a 10th house Sun and Mercury (my chart ruler) and a significant Saturn placement. I do have a distinct Sturnine quality to my chart. The past 2-3 years have been a real b!tch for me - mainly family and finances, but my ambitions/aspirations have been badly hit too, which being a 10th Sun, has been a heavy burden for me.

I wanted to know how on target all the astrological talking heads have been and whether this is similar to what I've been going through. I got the idea that the ordeal I've been going through may paralell those who are actually Caps, when a Cap guy I know mention that the last two years have been "no fun" and he's about to go nuts if things for him don't get better.

Lovely, yeah losses for me too. All kinds. People, finances, opportunities, hope. I've been struggling iwth depressiona nd other health problems along with all of this. Saturn was moving through my 11th while in Cancer, and during that transit I ended being forced to move 800 miles away (due to fiances and health problems) from my closest and dearest friends (with whom I'm closer to than my blood relatives) to a city where I had no and still have no friends. It has been like watching your life erode away around you for me. I'm very ready for this to be done now. LOL.

Hmmmm...

Professionally: challenging
I had a job I was really good at last year, but at the same time I was a bit lazy with the administrative aspects (and was somewhat allowed to be). The company got into a really desperate situation when they let me go in January. Since then I've applied to some jobs I really really would have loved to no avail. I've been doing manual labor under the table for the past few months. Also, in the past few months I've been learning through astrology what my work life may be like, and the attributes I have to reconcile into some unconventional career.

Financially: not great. I've been getting by. I've gotten by so frequently now in my life that I don't worry quite so much as I used to. I do miss stability, though.

Relationally: Growth. I think I've felt a bit more comfortable with myself in the past couple years. I haven't had a relationship during this time, but I've felt more attractive in that I've been flirted with a bit more. Actually, this has only been in the last few months primarily. Last year was fairly boring.

Spiritually: Growth. Once again it's mostly been in the last few months (since coming to LL). It's not the emotional spirituality of my youth. I'm still a bit detached, but I'm thinking on these things more and more now. Perhaps it's a forced spirituality, but it's better than nothing.

I don't know what other area to speak of.

Hi Gem,

I've had a pretty hard time past 2 years. I have my moon/mars/neptune in Cap..not mentioning because my sun/venus are in Aries.. Saturn squared those, as well as opposed my Capricorn placements. I've definitely changed a lot these years as well. My moon's in the 8th (rules death among other things) and two very important ppl to me died, at different times..one of which was completely unexpected. It's made me think a lot about life and death and spirits..and yeah, I've gone a bit weird because of that..though I think I'm over it now, sorta

I also have my mars/neptune in the 7th. I think relationship wise I've had positive changes. I met my bf during this time and I've been with him for 10 months so far. He also has both moon/asc in Capricorn, and it hasn't been an easy time for him either..with him it was mainly familly problems (that he's had for a while) but it's been worse these years.

Career wise, well studying..I don't have a career yet, but it's been ok I guess. Not as good as I've done in previous years, but well enough. I did feel a change though. Usually I'm very lucky in this area - maybe because of Jupiter (higher education) in the 10th (career) - and I'm used to things seeming easy.. But the last year or so I felt I had to put a lot more effort in to get results..whereas in previous years itseemed effortless (well not completely, but just like everything always fell into place easily)..so I'd say that has to do with Saturn as well..

I've also lost a lot of sleep over my studies. I used to sleep like a log before..but I haven't slept properly in 2 years. I fall asleep and wake up at weird times, and I feel like it's affecting my health (I have saturn in the 6th natally)

But anyways Saturn's in Leo now so things will probably get better/easier..

OMG, it's been very challenging. Ups & downs all the way. I've gone through the worst experience of my life where I actually thought I was going to die and then came depression and anxiety attacks which has affected my health. I've been sick on & off, got a respitory infection at the moment. A month ago I was in a bad car accident where I was driving alone and this idiot just jumped a stop sign. I've been going for physio for the past month for whiplash. My car's still in for repairs. I've also been going for a few job interviews but just can't seem to clinch it. Relationship-wise I think I've grown. My libra man has been wonderful but we've had our ups & downs.
Through it all I feel stronger. I feel as if anything can come my way ~ there's only one way to go, and that's up!

The worst point for me was actually right before Saturn moved into Cancer and my 10th hs. In the last degrees of Gemini it squared Moon/Pluto/Asc and that was reallly bad. Depression, isolation and other stuff like that. Now I'm having transiting Pluto square Moon/Pluto/Asc. and at least so far it looks like that previous Saturn transit didn't leave Pluto much work to do. But I bet he'll find something.

Saturn in the 10th opp Sun (or Mercury) wasn't that bad. Needed to work harder and had rather low energy resources but felt sort of steady and grounded. However, I needed to re-evaluate people I work with. Got sort of caught in a major clash between a Gemini and Libra which was a superb learning experience. Relatively gentle wake-up call to take more responsebilities and not to trust other peple that much with work and money matters.

Hi

Cappy moon here and it's been a real learning curve! Lots of relationship dramas and lessons to get under my belt and also work issues seem to have been prevalent. Can't say I'm not pleased to see the old teacher move onto someone else but I'm grateful for all he's taught me

Just feel for my Leo friend who's beginning his tough 2 year relationship with Saturn now

I'm cappy rising. The past two years have been slow progress in all areas apart from love, when its been backwards all the way. Feel like coming to conclusion of learning curve, hopefully once have digested it all and learned the lesson's i need to things will change for the better. I have a question on the same theme, for those with and without relationships, has the past two years been a bit lonely, like in spite of all around who love you(and just profess to love you) you've felt alone?

Uneventful
Actually, it's been quite a good year, in comparison with other years.

I'm Cappy Ascendant.

If you really want me to get specific my lowest point was when saturn moved backwards onto my sun and directly opposed my asc. Bad time for relationships of all kinds. Everybody just seemed to be against me.

SparkSag, Saturn has been transiting through Cancer, Cap's polarity, which mean for those with stuff in Cap, Satrun has at some point int eh past couple of years made a hard opposition with your natal chart. There's be some other tough though hsorter transits recently too (like Mars in Aries not too long ago) that just add to this.

It seems overall that those with just Cap ASC fared a little better than those with planets in Cap, which actually makes sense. Oppositions with another planet would be more stressful since it's energy against energy and not simply energy against a sensitive point on the chart.

As for me, I'm not sure what to think. It seems I have been dealing with a lot of the same issues Caps have, but only with a strong 10th house and a tough Saturn placement. Things aren't really easing up on me so far - transiting Pluto's still in oppo of my 10th house Sun-Merc and transiting Saturn's still in my 11th house and in tight aspect with my natal Saturn - that's mean it is acting on a tough multiple oppisition configuration in my chart (Saturn-Venus in 9th oppo Jup-Nep in 3rd). Man just thinking about this gets me tired. LOL.

Gem, I just have to ask about this:

quote:
during that transit I ended being forced to move 800 miles away (due to fiances and health problems)

I know you meant finances, but I can't help but notice all these symbolic slips lately.

Also, on a personal note.. did you move away from SM? 800 miles? In which direction?

I have a Cap sun, but Saturn's also in Gemini, my ascendant, in my natal chart. Would that have made things worse or better?
