hey folks... wondering if there are any fellow Leo Moons in the house? I ask because I think this is a very strange and perhaps even unsettling placement... the sun ruling Leo and all, I am a Cancer sun, with Leo moon, so it's like i'm a backwards person. Or inside out. or just tangled up. switched around. you get it. So I'm wondering how people experience this placement, because being a cancer I have a deeply emotional nature, but the moon rules your emotional nature, right? and i've got my moon in leo. So does that mean my emotions are very dramatic? or something? i'm a little confused. i guess what i'm asking is, 1) what exactly does the moon's placement denote and 2) how do you Leo Moons (if there are any of you out there) experience your leo moon?>IP: Logged |

Hi fellow Canadian! I personally don't have a Leo Moon, but my hubby, who is a Scorpio does. I think it does make him re-act more strongly and outwardly than other Scorpio's with different moons. Here is something I found on Leo Moons you may find interesting: Moon in Leo Keywords: Braggart, Creative, Materialistic, Self-indulgent, Confident, Fun-lovingThose born with the moon in a Fire sign want to turn their feelings into physical experiences. They do not initially view their desires from the standpoint of practicality, emotional commitment, or as lessons to be learned. Before anything else there has to be action, some form of instant physical gratification. As lunar Fire sign personalities, those with moon in Leo are magnanimous and passionate in the expression of their feelings. Unfortunately, Leo's tendency for exaggeration can lead to being what others may consider insincere. The excitement of a particular moment may cause them to sincerely and passionately say or do things that, unfortunately, may later be forgotten. Pride is their emotional downfall. They cannot separate emotions from ego. It is ego that prompts them to consciously or subconsciously dominate emotional relationships. Others can elicit their cooperation or obtain their positive response by applying subtle flattery, but absolutely nothing will be gained by backing them up against the wall and wounding their pride. Leo moon personalities can be extremely stubborn. They have purpose, determination, and tenacity when it comes to getting what they want. Strongly idealistic, they are capable of great personal sacrifice for causes in which they passionately believe. Even when presented with irrefutable evidence that their idealism or loyalty has been misguided, they may find it difficult to move on. They are very assertive when it comes to protecting not only their own freedom but also the rights and freedom of others. They have a jealous nature, though they are not particularly possessive. When a romance ends, they are more apt to suffer from a wounded ego than a broken heart. They are likely to have artistic talent, or at least great interest in art, architecture, and design. Women with Leo moon are forceful, materialistic, and preoccupied with status. However, they are also able to accept responsibilities as a matter of honor, and behave with exceptional grace and dignity in the face of insult and adversity. Men with Leo moon can be braggarts who always want the last word. They have endless schemes and grandiose plans as they seek all the good things in life. When good fortune does come their way, they are usually very generous in sharing it with others. IP: Logged |

I am an Aries/Taurus cusp with Leo moon and I find this placement quite powerful...I already am stubborn and very forceful and i feel at times I can be too powerful for my own good. I have a huge ego that hates to be wounded. Thank god for my pisces rising or I may never soften...it defintely helps me be more sympathetic towards others...or I would rarely show my emotions...do others feel that leo moons have a hard time with emotion? especially showing it? plus the fact that they love to be adorned?IP: Logged |

yep, pretty good. Damn nuisance, actually.... The woman must have been sitting around, taking notes during her marriage.... I wonder if her husband knows about her... Okay, just kidding. Truth is, I have little to add, Luna. (I will NOT call you Lunatic, -- not yet anyway ) I'm a Virgo, but I also have a Leo Ascendant, so that's maybe why my Leo Moon doesn't seem unsettling to me. -- But it certainly has been known to be unsettling to others. I think Cancers tend to be afraid to rock the boat. And with a Moon in Leo, the boat will inevitably be rocked. Is that what's bothering you? Can you elaborate a bit?

Loggerhead, maybe unsettling wasn't quite the right word. I think I just meant it in a general sense, that I feel being a Cancer/Leo creates a rather strong inner turmoil. Identity confusion, if you will. It is difficult to integrate the two. One side of me want to sit back quietly and observe while the other side wants to be right in the center of it all, shining. ------------------ Cancer Sun/Leo Moon/Leo Rising/Sun and Moon in 12th House. Heh heh heh... You want to know about Leo Moons eh? Look what I'm stuck with! >_<Sun Virgo 7 Moon Leo 7 Mercury Leo7 Vunus Leo 7 Mars Libra 8 Jupiter Leo 7 Saturn Aquarius 12 Uranus Capricorn 11 Aquarius ASC Chiron is Leo too... That's what I call conflicting right there. Sometimes I think I'm bipolar. Virgo, Aqarius, and Leo are always gnawing at eachother. I pretty much have three sides. The Virgo side... quiet, anaylitical, nice, very locical, doesn't like to get emotionally attached, bla bla... The Aquarius side... Well... for the most part, wants to tell society to go to hell... and does. Also anaylitical of course, likes to be surrounded by lots of different friends, and philosophical. Then there's the LEO side! Sometimes Aqua and Leo team up and REALLY **** the world off. Let's see... likes to get attention, wants everybody to like me, wants to be loved, talks alot, has endless amounts of energy, is a smartass, wild, gets depresses if not around lots of people often, tends to show off... No matter what personality is showing that day though, they all are still there. Some are just more pronounced than others sometimes. IP: Logged |

Ok, one second here, Moon AND Sun in the 12 house? That means your Asc. is either in Leo or in Virgo... Which is it? It's got to be Virgo, bec. you wouldn't be so upset if it were Leo... IP: Logged |

my ascendant is Leo. What, I'm not allowed to be upset when I have Leo rising? haha I don't really see what you're saying Loggerhead... what I'm saying is the reason I think I get depressed quite often is because well, first of all I'm a cancer, and because my sun and moon are in the 12th house. even though I have strong Leo influences, I think the 12th house casts a dark shadow over everything and makes me feel alienated and sad.------------------ Cancer Sun/Leo Moon/Leo Rising/Sun and Moon in 12th House. Ahh - just the thread I was looking for. I'm currently casually seeing a Capricorn with a Leo moon. And good lord, does that Leo moon change things. In my understanding, Caps are normally emotionally reserved and cautious, this chap seems quite the opposite. He seems to have impressive emotional openness, and is very quick and incautious in his emotional expressions (like telling me after two dates that he’d like to be with me forever…which is a frightening level of impulsiveness for my Cancer sun / Taurus moon). I can only imagine a Leo moon would induce fits in any water or earth sun sign. Because your natural sun-sign state is to be reserved or careful with your emotional expression – then you have that fiery Leo moon sitting there making you act imprudently and spontaneously, seemingly out of your control. I haven’t talked to my Cap about what his take is on his Leo moon yet, but from my observation, I think it could be a challenging moon sign for you as a Cancer. On the bright side though, your more fiery emotions might lead you to talk more instead of withdraw into your shell when you are hurt. This could be a very good thing for us loony crabs.IP: Logged |

another moon in Leo here, can't you tell we are? isn't there something about all these replies that just screams moon in Leo to you? I can't put my finger on it. This sort of mixture of drama and making fun of ourselves at the same time that's very characteristic of this placement, I think. quote: they are more apt to suffer from a wounded ego than a broken heart.
This is very true, I have to admit. But I love this placement. It keeps me keepin' on, as they say. I've got a lot of nasty Saturn aspects and difficult placements and have had a crazy life to match those, but I think my moon keeps me surviving. And although I can be incredibly pessimistic at times, at the end of the day that Leo in me makes me see some good in virtually everything, and everyone. Oh, and I definitely see myself as a character in a book or movie.. no, really, I do. That's so moon in Leo.

seriously, i got through the SAME exact thing...my sun wants to be so quiet, observant, and just on my own all the time. so very i can do things by myself...dont watch me but then my MOON barges in and is like OOOOH LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME!! it gets pretty frustrating sometimes...especially when i try and stifle both desires..it drives me NUTS. i love my combo tho..it makes me soooo outspoken and bold and like appear *fearless* when in fact, i'm "spooked" so ridiculously easy. i can say whatever i want to say, how i want to say it, when and for whatever reason just because 1) i can, 2) i ALWAYS feel like someones listening 3) it's me of course...why shouldn't i? ...and a large part of the time people dont take offense to it or get upset.
however the dramatic side of my nature tends to get me in little disputes now and then... (when as a leo been in a LiTTLE dispute) especially with my boyfriend (Sag/Aqua Moon). sometimes i just blow up and WANT him to feel bad or retaliate and if he doesn't well... goodbye ego. thats another thing...relationship wise it's not so much that I always had to be with someone (Libra ASC), it was more of a ..ooh look at me, look who i'm dating kind of thing. At least in high school it was. However, with my moon I'd say I attracted more bonafide male *friends* than suitors...however the suitors were nice tho few.

Hey, whiterabbit -- I didn't know you were one of us ... You are right about this thread, we are such a self-dramatizing bunch, aren't we? It's hilarious.... I agree about the quote about the wounded ego over a broken heart. I guess a big ego may seem .. well whatever it seems to other people, but it can be such a life-saver, really -- better to be irrepressible than depressed, lol... Luna, what do you mean what do I mean... (how the heck do I know?) Are you "not allowed to be upset when you have Leo rising," LOL, you are so funny.... I think what I simply meant was that a big part of your personality is already Leo-like, I would assume. So your emotional inner life would be sort of matching your outward personality, more than, say, if you had Pisces rising. See what I'm saying? But then you mention the Sun and Moon in the 12th house both, so I don't know. My Moon is in the 12th, but my Sun in the 1st, and that I always kind of considered a blessing. My vitality and irrepressible nature probably come from that first house Sun more than from Leo Moon. My mother also has a Leo Moon, but Cancer rising, and Taurus Sun, and she plays very much the weak little woman thing, letting her man do everything she doesn't want to deal with, lol. I don't know what to tell you, Luna. Maybe you should start a thread asking for input from 12th house Suns. I think I know of one who has that placement of both Sun and Moon in 12th. IP: Logged |

whiterabbit it would make sense than that you feel for a sag rising with neptune conjunct ascendant, I have that, and my last love was a leo moon. in fact I am always attracting leo moons and love their vitality and energy. However, they tend to be very arrogant around me and we fight. Usually I am too fast physically, that is I travel, and this makes them jealous and suspect me. Leo moons are VERY JEALOUS UNDERNEATH Never forget that I tell myself. I care about each one but I think that ego needs to come down a bit. My last one said on the first night he met me that I wouldn't be able to walk after he made love to me, because he was going to show me what it was like to be with a real man! and he was dead serious. Hey all, Leo moon here. Im a Sag sun so double fire. Im a bit of a powerhouse if upset or if my integrity or honour is questioned. BUT i have Cap Asc which I think sometimes leads people into thinking that i'm a hard worker (which I am) but then they see my stubborn fire side and they get surprised. I have had trouble relating to my Taurean sun mum/ libra moon. My saggie 'put your foot in it' syndrome causes trouble sometimes. Sparkling IP: Logged |
