lol hope that made sense quote: Top or BottomThe top half of the horoscope (also called the southern half) represents the part of us that is easily visible. The bottom half (the northern section) shows the part of us that tends to be less visible. People with top heavy charts tend to be more public, to be more visible out there in the world, Bill Bradley for instance. He was a basketball star and then a U.S. Senator putting his life under constant scrutiny. People with the majority of planets on the bottom half tend to be more private, but this doesn’t mean that they don’t ever have public lives They are what used to be called "inner directed". Every now and then, they notice that there is a world "out there" and then they can make a terrific impact because nothing anyone else says can make any real impact on their decisions. J. Edgar Hoover is an example of this type. Mel Gibson is another example of a bottom heavy horoscope. Yes, he is a movie star and has a very public life. But he always goes his own way and does his own thin, a good example of inner direction.. He has done everything from action-adventure flicks to Hamlet. Left and Right Side of the Chart
If there is a majority of planets on the left side of the horoscope, this is an indication that the person is better able to take initiative. Little is handed to these people on a silver platter, but that doesn’t make any difference. They can go out and get their own platter. Remember that this is only an indication. If the person happens to have the planet Jupiter very strong, for instance, then they will have both initiative and "good luck". Don’t you just hate people like that? If there is a majority of planets on the right side of the horoscope, we have what has been facetiously called a Royal Chart. It got this name because these folks can’t seem to get anything going without having someone else involved. And, oh yes, these people do have things handed to them on that proverbial silver platter. Naturally, the more planets you have on any one side, the stronger the effect will be. An example of a left sided horoscope (also known as an eastern or oriental horoscope) is the chart of Oprah Winfrey, who has a total of seven planets on the left side of her chart. The planet Jupiter is also strong in her horoscope giving her extra "luck" to go along with the initiative that that the left sided emphasis provides. An example of a right sided chart is the horoscope of Woodro Wilson. Sure he got to be President of the United States, but look at how he did it. First, he became governor of New Jersey. There was a reform movement at the time, and the party big wigs needed a Mr. Clean. Wilson didn’t start that reform movement. He got the Democratic nomination because the convention was deadlocked. That had nothing to do with him. He won the 1912 election only because Teddy Roosevelt ran as an independent that year and split the Republican vote. That too had nothing to do with Wilson. He was re-elected in 1916 partly because California came in for him at the last minute because of a local issue. Of course, that had nothing to do with him either. He tried to do one thing totally on his own. He tried to get America into the League of Nations. He fell flat on his face. So the moral of the story is, if you have a right handed horoscope, your motto should be: "Why should I do it myself? What did God create other people for?"
All my planets ( except Moon ) are on top.One question…could someone tell me what it means to have “the planet Jupiter very strong”? ------------------ aka Neptune’s Mermaid, NM, WN, Nurse Neptune, Waternixie, Nepsnympe, Waternyphy and deputy #6 IP: Logged |

I've got all but one planet (my singleton Moon) in the Eastern hemisphere. Would you like to borrow my hard-earned platter, AG?!? It's used, but still got a great shine! Here's another short but sweet article on hemisphere emphasis. http://www.noeltyl.com/techniques/990715.html Thanks for putting the topic up, NM!! 'Zala IP: Logged |

I have all but one planet (the moon in the 12th) on the right side of my chart....I have to admit, my life has not be particularly great, but at the same time, people come into my life that help me a great deal..many of them have actually changed my life. I have managed to recieve help from people in some fashion, whether directly or indirectly. But I wouldn't say things are handed to be on a silver platter...that would be a generalization...I make sure to stay away from those! IP: Logged |

Interesting stuff.I'm bottom heavy... LOL (that sounds funny... specially cuz my butt is no little one ) Jupiter (11th, Aires) and Neptune (7th, Sag) are on top. Everything else is on the bottom in everything but the 2nd House. Its empty. "...nothing anyone else says can make any real impact on their decisions. " This is pretty accurate about me. Although, I don't think I'm a very private person. I do things my own way... everything... Right down to starting my own business because I felt I could do it better using my own methods. From 'Zala's article: quote: We can see and understand the orientation to being swept away by events, even to being victimized, when the strong majority of planets is orientated to the South, above the horizon (and/or with Northern counterpoint). The questions are, why does there seem to be no anchor here for development, what's missing in terms of grounding, how has this affected relationships?
Wow. Yeah... I don't tend to be very grounded. Something I've been working on, but am having a helluva time fixing. Sometimes I just want to throw my hands up and say, "Screw it! I'm hard wired this way." I also think this is a HUGE reason why my hubby and I work so well together (Taurus Sun). We are completely the other half of each other (LOL... if that made any sense!). He is what I am not, and vice versa. How has this affected relationships? Well... I know I drive my hubby completely NUTS (sometimes) with my head up in the clouds. I would never want to be too grounded. It sure doesn't seem like much fun. The victim thing also tends to be true... although I have spent a lot of time and effort with self work seeing to it that I become a Survivor and no longer anyone's victim. But, there was a point in my life where it was absolutely accurate. IP: Logged |

how come when you click on the celebrity charts mentioned above, the wheel is going counter-clockwise?ie Aries is positioned at 11 o clock, and Aquarius is at 1 o clock. Shouldn't it be the other way around? IP: Logged |
