just wanted to ask, what is the significance of an ascendant-ruler?

Fx, my asc is in virgo, it's ruler is mercury, which fx squares my moon...

now since my ASC-ruler squares my moon, does that also somehow make my ascendant square my moon or what?

simply put, what relation does the ascendant have with the ascendant-ruler?

I am but an amateur in Astrology, but:

Being that your rising sign is Virgo, and it's ruler Mercury is very important in your chart. Therefore, any aspects that it makes to other planets are very important because your rising sign is next in importance after your sun sign.

The ruler of the Asc. is very important, it shows how well you integrate the different areas of your life.

Your square between the Moon and Mercury (your ruler) shows difficulties intergrating your Asc. (your self) and the area of the chart that the Moon rules (what house cusp does Cancer rule?)

it is the most important thing in ur chart if put at mundane level. its position, strenght, aspects and own default qualities will decide a lot about ur behaviour.

if don't know what 'ascendant's ruler' is. i think what ur asking for is chart ruler, right?

If your tenth house is ruled by Cancer, then you have some juggling to do with your career and may feel overwhelmed at the choices you have to make. It's important to choose a mate who is intellectual, smart, and has your respect.

Are you scientific, logical, and at the same loyal and giving?

I recommend going into a field where you help people but not where you get overwhelmed by their needs. Setting boudaries can be tough.

yes I'm emotional, but don't like to show it and I do think I hide it well.
My 10th house is ruled by Cancer? I thought it was ruled by Gemini..
About the career thing, thx for the tip, but I have a lot of time right now to decide what I wanna do, cuz I'm still in college, but yes I do think I wanna do some service-job(MAYBE, only if I have the possibility of sometime becoming an authority figure in that field).

ACS ruler's aspects have to do with your self-expression and ASC ruler has to do with your ASC if it makes aspects to ASC.

hi thosa. ur essentially a mericurial person. ur ascendant is virgo and ur moon is also there ie. in first house. so ur sign is kanya or virgo. ur sign as well as ascendant ruler being same u have little in complication when it comes to ur behaviour. now, ur chart as well sa sign ruler mercury is well placed in gemini, its own sign. in indain astrology its called being swagrahi (in self's house). besides that it is it is in the friendly 10th house of career and business. it seems u will do bussiness or service related to communication, programming, journalism, photography and things relatd to mercury. though the chart still remains to be analysed completely. but primarily u seem to be a thoughful practical and skilfull person. u seek practicality as first hand rather than ideas. ur ideas are also very practical in the sense that they are not out of the blue.

careerwise u can be very sucessfull if u choose careers related to mercury or gemini. ur 10th house is ruled by mercury and thats also where ur mercury is. so, there is no problem there at all.

there is so much to write on mercury itslelf. it is perhaps ur prime planet. involev ur self in more than one tasks at a time and don't get bogged down by sily indian ideas of being stable with only one thing at a time. concentration is not an issue as u have that to a superb degree. the ruler of the 2nd house being dignified in 9th u can have moeny ganied by investments in stocks, in foreign exchange, in preperty (because the 9th house is taurus and well lit byu jupiter). a theme is being foremed. ur perspective is of at a global level. if u choose a mercury related profession u will end up doing it on a large scale. say being a journalist for many leading international newspapers or maybe an international media channel like cnn or bbc. u will own property at many places around the globe. while u might think right now at a local level (mercury) ur life will be on a global level eventually. it will be a chain of successfull events. let me know what ur currently doing in life and how much i'm right about the above.

do u suffer from constipation? rahu in aquarius in 6th indicates so. offcourse i'm sonsidering that rahu is only negative. let me chek out the qualities of rahu in aquarius...

the internet says rahu is well placed in aquairus. thus automatically ketu becomes well placed. my experience with rahu is it tends to make u leave things half way. search for what the 6th house indicates in indian astro and see if the positves of rahu are highlightened (seeing projects through) or the negatives (leaving things halfway). so let me know please.

u can be little selfish with ur friends. espcially with those who relaly care for u. offcoruse also u like group work and ur creative side is revealed when working with friends. a weak sun in cancer indicates ur possive about certain things and want to not let go easily. offcourse it that is a very feable effect.
