OK, I have a question. I was looking at a friends chart, and she has the Sun, Saturn, Mercury, and Uranus in the second house (all in Sagittarius.)

Does this mean that she is obsesed with money? I have looked up each individual meaning of the planets in the house...or is the getting and keeping of money going to be very important in her life?

Thanks for any insights!

Good question...I know someone (close relative) who has a stellium in the 2nd House --but in Capricorn. And she is absolutely consumed with money and material possessions. She loves to shop and is very aware of what others have or do not have. She is into possessions of all kind, people, real estate, her own "time." She is always returning things and trys to get her money back if they are not perfect, threatens to sue people and tries to get free meals and tickets, etc if things do not turn out exactly as planned or advertised. Pretty bizarre.

Please excuse my ignorance but can you explain what a stellium is and what it signifies? Also how to calculate it? I've seen it referenced through this board but have been puzzling over its explanation and significance. Thanks!

I wouldn't say obsessed with money, but I'd definitely agree that your friend will have money, and know how to secure their finances.

Hi Mariangela! Welcome to LL!!

(this is from astro.com)
Stellium

Though not an Aspect itself, an explanation of a Stellium is appropriate in this section as Stelliums are made up of Aspects -- Conjunctions, to be exact. A Stellium refers to three or more Planets that form a series of Conjunctions in an astrological chart, regardless of whether the Planets span into two Houses or if they are in different Signs or the same Sign. Whatever the combination may be, their combined energies create a particular focus, making a Stellium deserving of attention.

Within a Stellium, the power of the Planets is focused according to the Signs and Houses involved. For example, if a birth chart were to contain a Stellium of Mercury, Venus and Mars in Taurus in the Fourth House, this would create a tremendous focus of the steady, possessive, possession-oriented, sensual energy of Taurus. That heightened energy would manifest itself as related to communication (Mercury), love (Venus) and drive (Mars), as further related to home and family (Fourth House). Sound complicated? It's really not -- just think of it as a focal point of energy.

One more complication: A Planetary member of a Stellium is subject to the influence of aspects to other Planets in the same Stellium, even if the Orb is too wide to normally include that Planet. This is called aspect by association.

**Let us know if this makes sense to you.... if you are just beginning this may sound really confusing.

Hey,

This is an interesting article on the 2nd house..
http://www.themetaarts.com/archives/200307/basilfearington.html

It talks about how the 2nd isn't only the house of your own money..but also the house of *self worth*. With all those planets in your house of self-worth..it would probably give you confidence.

Not mentioning since they're all in Sag and that's a lucky sign you'd probably be quite lucky in finacial matters. Check the placement of your Jupiter.

Hello all

Stelliums in the Second house also signify someone who is of a large or obese frame... or someone consumed by greed

Love and Light

Hey all. Thanks guys!
I was really surprised by the emphasis of planets in her second house....
Divine-I see the "large frame" aspect, she is chubby but not "large" though. I also am considering the self worth angle. She has an inherent sense of "I can do it!" but she is not in your face about it.

I am going to take alook at the link....
