The following is from a book called "Chiron-Transforming Bridge Between the Inner and Outer Planets" by Barbara Hand Clow:
quote:
CHIRON IN ASPECT TO SUN, MERCURY, VENUS, MOON, MARS, AND JUPITER
When Chiron aspects a planet in the horoscope, the aspected planet is Chirotic. On the most primary level, the planet aspected by Chiron is similar in feeling to a planet involved in a quincunx, i.e., it is constantly activated and being pushed to a new level of awareness. Specifically, contents in the subconscious mind related to past life struggles which are relevant to emotional responses for this lifetime are activated within the vibration of the planet that is in aspect to Chiron. For example, in a chart with Venus square Chiron, the native would tend to get involved in love affairs with individuals whom they had already experienced trauma with in past lives. On a more subtle level, aspects to Chiron attune the planet in aspect to "Chiros."
Chiros is the realm beyond linear time which is ruled by Saturn. It is the place where events in the here and now relate to the synchronicity principle. The synchronous level is our experience with congruences between this dimension and other non-physical dimensions. It is the place where we can find the interface between realities. It is the place in time where we can attain another plane of awareness by simply moving our focus to another realm. For example, it is the place in the psyche which recognizes significant meaning with another human that you've just met whether you know it is based on a past life contact or not. So, regarding a planet aspected by Chiron, outside events occur which attune this planet to higher consciousness vibrations in attunement with the planet in aspect. For example, natives with Chiron sextile the Sun will draw parents who try to raise the child in a good environment. Those parents also probably knew the child before. Jungians say the synchronicity principle is "accusal." To me that means the cause is not definable on the physical plane; the cause is coming from the universal timeless mind, the emotional and soul body or some other dimension which we haven't even intuited or identified yet. The planets in aspect to Chiron can resonate easily on all those levels. And regarding the "accusal" synchronicity principle, now that Chiron has been sighted, we are beginning to attune to the "unseen" causes. As we attune to them our bridge to multidimensional realms is stronger.
Planets in aspect to Chiron feel unstable at first; they represent energies which we feel compelled to experience and master. Chiron's role is to destabilize, to infuse Saturnian form with Uranian energy. The experiences related to planets aspected by Chiron have only really been pushed into action since November 1977 when Chiron was sighted. Many new consciousness programs, movements, and new paradigms such as I.C.C.S., Asilomar with David Spangler and Dr. Brugh Joy, Jean Houston workshops, and Chris Griscom's work with gold needles started in the fall of 1977, and readers should take a moment to reflect on changes in their behavior since that time. For example, suddenly in 1977 and 1978, people realized they could access emotions by going into places in the body. Your ability to resonate with the planets aspected by Chiron will be enhanced by a moment's reflection on what you were doing in 1977-78, because that is a major power point in the emergence of Chiron.
Aspects to Chiron are subtle because they push us to subtle levels, but Chiron is a knife-like tool you can use to dissect levels of awareness. You can utilize Chiron to sensitize yourself to other dimensions. Transits of Chiron are very critical and are not subtle, which will be discussed in Chapter Twelve. But, the aspects of Chiron to the planets and Nodes are subtle; like the emergence of a new shoot of a plant above a great root system. That shoot has great energy from the massive root system, and as you allow yourself to attune to Chirotic energy and eras, (a life force), it will infuse your system with a wonderful youthfulness, a sense of great hope. The resonation in the mind is also intense; these aspects are probably the key access point to the large field of consciousness presently not being used. We can only begin to imagine at this time the great potential of working with aspects to Chiron. We will not get this level by thinking, however, it only comes by experiencing.

CHIRON IN ASPECT TO VENUS
Individuals with aspects between Chiron and Venus are leaming the lessons of receptivity, getting in touch with the anima, and working on value systems on Earth. Venus rules receptivity, balance, and good values on Earth, and aspects to Chiron signify that the lessons are spiritualized. And, for natives who do not have aspects between the Moon and Chiron, Venus can be an excellent vehicle for connecting the higher self to feelings. This relationship creates intensity and brings kundalini energy into the body once the Saturn bridge has been built, and so this section is one of the more interesting reports in the book. Astrologers need to be beyond judgment about human behavior; their calling is to help people transmute karma. It is our function as spiritual teachers to observe the soul dynamic or karmic pathway of all lifetimes, and then it is our job as astrologers to help adjust the native within this life, to help him or her better use their natal energies. If a person utilizes natal energy more wisely, they automatically transmute karma. Guilt always blocks the opportunity to gain the necessary values from experiences we have undertaken, and our judgment about behavior always inculcates guilt into the client who has graciously opened the soul to the astrologer. Aspects between Chiron and Venus are a sure indicator that a client is having experiences which might be a waste of personal energy and a travesty to society for some, but for this native, these experiences are the necessary vehicle for finding the self.
Chiron conjunct Venus is the beginning of the spiritualization of the value system and of inherent receptivity. This native is idealistic, and he or she must have relationships which bring in the spiritual dimension. Often there is a strong desire to mix sex and religion, and this native experiences an orgasmic fusion with the cosmos. For thousands of years, sexuality was a part of ritual practice in many cultures for fecundating the fields and placating the Gods. Chiron conjunct Venus is a clue that this native is going to try to activate orgasmic response to the universe. The native of Chart 5 has tried to work with ritual as the union of Earth and Sky. Chiron conjunct the North Node in the fifth house indicates that this work is a major lesson, and that there are significant past lives in ancient cultures related to the cosmic orgasmic function. Chart 12 is that of a young initiate who is working in the sacred school of spiritualizing blood and genetic codes and is involved in a deep search for the place of the cosmic orgasm. This native has a very high vibration and is trying to find new pathways into this intense orgasmic level. My personal opinion is that the rituals of the ancient days are meant to end as we move into the Age of Aquarius, that we will simply fuse consciousness with the higher planes without a lot of ritual mumbo jumbo. I do not want to sound negative about ritual. "Mumbo jumbo" occurs when we are stuck in endlessly repeating actions which are energy-less. We do them because we think it is our only way to the source, the divine. Ritual is useful if it gives us energy and leads us to the source. But, when we have learned from our rituals, then it is time to let them go. Teilhard de Chardin, Chart 32, has Chiron conjunct Venus/ Neptune in the twelfth house, and his writings are a primary guiding light to the future for all of us who are immersed in cosmic orgasm.
Chiron sextile Venus is a red flag that the native may be sacrificing him or herself on the altar of love. At its best, this aspect symbolizes a level of devotion to a partner which is breathtaking, and at its worst, the aspect suggests enslavement and adoration. At whatever level, this native is working out a primary sense of meaning by living out a very important love affair. The love affair in itself is an altar, a place to find a spirituality deep within which can only come in relation. One of the most beautiful virtues any of us will ever attain is true devotion. This native many not seem to be doing much with life, but close analysis will reveal a gift of subtle love which is almost beyond human. The astrologer should help this native to become who he or she is individually, but honor this deep love as a special gift. The artist of Chart 25 has managed to develop and give her artistic skills in the middle of a long and enduring love for a man who needs her very much. This relationship is very demanding, yet because she has mastered devotion, she has great skill as an artist. The AIDS counselor of Chart 29 has given himself selflessly to one partner for many years as they search for mutual unfoldment.
Chiron square Venus sets up the maximum stress between finding a value system which will enhance spirituality, or just giving oneself over to one emotional high after another. Also, Chiron square Venus usually signals heavy duty past life karmic pressure having to do with gender identity. In the esoteric teaching, we are taught that we choose a particular gender identity to balance male/female polarity, anima/animus polarity. Life is no more than an opportunity for experience so that we can become more evolved. And part of being able to become developed involves experiencing both sexes. Often when we are moving into a gender we are unused to there is a lot of stress, and Chiron square Venus indicates this type of stress. Thus, a person with many male past lives may be bom a female this time or vice versa, and this is often shown in the chart with Chiron square Venus. We also see this frequently when Mars is conjunct Venus in the natal chart. This client may be essentially male trying to cope with being female or vice versa, and astrologers can help the client with in depth Mars/Venus counseling. Often this native will cop out of sexual balancing by becoming gay or lesbian, although he or she might accomplish more by switching genders completely. Or, this native may appear to be gay or lesbian while actually being asexual and adjusting to the situation. In all cases, counseling on Mars/Venus energies in the chart will be most enlightening. The astrologer of Chart 22 has experienced deep emotional conflicts and a great struggle with her powerful animus within. The conflict will tend to resolve at the Uranus opposition. It is very likely she has powerful male past lives and that she is learning to use power with female or Venusian means this time.
When Chiron is trine Venus difficulties with primary karmic sexual experiences are a major life problem. My files have many examples of very long and demanding love relationships which are very stressful. This native is very alluring to people in general; many people may fall in love with this native during the lifetime, but the native is caught in a stressful love affair which cannot ever be very pleasurable. It is always difficult to know what past-life contents in relationships are unless they have been remembered in regression, but the incidence of relationships coming from much past-life experience is continually coming up in my practice. The theologian of Chart 17 is expressing the trine with a high level of vibration, and his teachings about the true nature of human love and compassion are very beautiful. The channel of Atlantean symbols, Chart 33, has Chiron trine Venus/Mercury in the second house, and she has spent this lifetime in a stressful marriage with a man she has known in many past lives. Natives with Chiron trine Venus can develop the most profound understanding about human love, but that level of understanding usually comes out of very complex and karmic relationships.
Chiron quincunx Venus creates great stress in love affairs which results in keen perception about the motives of other people. With this aspect, it is especially important to determine whether the quincunx is moving in or out of the opposition. When it is moving in, the native is living a life of learning about the greatest possible awareness of a love experience. Chart 4, of a Sanctuary Movement worker, has Chiron moving into the opposition with Venus. She experienced many traumatic love affairs before her Saturn return and now is married to a man who shares her deep intensity about love. Her beautiful and sensitive understanding about love has developed her into a person of deep compassion. Chart 34 is that of Michel de Nostradame, Nostradamus, and he deeply loved a young woman and his three little children, but they all died of the plague. In his chart, Chiron is quincunx Venus, and because of his great tragedy, Nostradamus learned to heal the plague and saved millions. His South Node is advanced in vibration, being 29 degrees of Virgo in the sixth house, and we can see he is a great healer from many past lives who came back to serve the race once more.
Chiron opposite Venus creates a receptivity to the alchemical nature of Venus which is almost overpowering. The native is completely receptive and open to others, and unless great control is indicated in the chart by other planetary positions and aspects, he or she is very nervous.
This native is alluring, often seems to be from another planet, and often has unusual intuitive understanding of the esoteric because of the ancient occult connection with Venus.
The orbit of Chiron is very elliptical, and many researchers, including Velikovsky, have brought forth much evidence of a severe disbalancing of the orbit of Venus around 1500 B.C., when I believe Chiron died. Many of the most hidden teachings are connected to such theories which relate Venus to catastrophic cycles already discussed in Chapter Two. Venus rules eros, the feminine receptive power to uranian kundalini energy. The teachings involve opening ourselves to this energy and the experience is chaotic to some degree.
Since receptivity in consciousness is strongly related to the level of fear in the psyche of any individual, many researchers, including myself, believe there is great collective amnesia about a catastrophe involving Venus around 1500 B.C.. This can manifest as a dissociative anxiety complex which attaches itself to any potential fear in the environment. Esoteric mastery training investigates the secrets of Venus eventually, and much of this training has to do with breaking through fear. Now with research on Chiron and the coming work on Nibiru, the awareness of the relation of the 1500 B.C. catastrophe to Venus, Chiron, and Nibiru will grow. And natives with Chiron opposite Venus will have a primary ability to understand this deep level of the occult. Aleister Crowley, master occult wizard, with Chiron opposite Venus, is a great example of this dynamic.

Thoughts, anyone??

A.

This is great, great stuff and I appreciate the information.

I need to read more and purchase Clow's book. In my natal chart, Chiron (1 Pisces) opposes my Sun (1 Gemini).

However Doc's Chiron is tightly conjunct both his Venus and Eros. My Chiron in turn conjuncts his Venus, Eros and Chiron.

You posted that: "Chiron conjunct Venus is a clue that this native is going to try to activate orgasmic response to the universe."

I am puzzled by that and am ignorant to say I am not certain what it means. However I will say that he strikes me as extraordinarily intense, and there have been occasions when we have not been in the same zipcode and he comes fiercely over my transcom. I have only had a few people in my life capable of doing that. He is one who sometimes activates my Neptune singleton.

Lilygirl ~

Her writing is pretty heavy going for me, but I find it fascinating and seems like every page I read, I have to go google something, put another book on the To Be Acquired List, or go pull something from the bookshelf so I can understand!

PS: You wrote "Crowley" book instead of "Clow" book when you first replied, and I got all excited -- have you read any of his stuff? Aleister The Beast is one of my astro-twins: Libra Sun/Pisces Moon/Scorpio Merc/Libra Venus/Leo Asc.....

That's true, but if you read it as it is, it indicates that I'll be in love, but it'll never be easy. I know it probably would never be anyway. It's just disappointing to read. My sense of romance is offended.

It's cool that I get a profound understanding of human love.

Past life notions are a bit troublesome for me as well, as I have no clue about any previous lives. I think I must have had a sense of humor to have chosen my time of birth this time around, though.

I know what you mean -- I prefer to tag my choice as "insanity"

But it is said that we choose our birthtime to give us maximum opportunity to learn the lessons we need to learn and pay back the karma that is owed.....

Thank you for posting it. The author managed without the 'wound that never heals' reference, so it was quite refreshing, even if not strictly uplifting read.

Chiron trine Venus/Jupiter/Neptune & square Merc here. Chiron is in the 7th as well and to be honest, I really don't think I'll ever be in happy marriage or something like that. Sometimes it makes really sad, somtimes it is more like *so what?*. I guess the person who I was to meet here, just isn't around.

Don't worry, AG - my description doesn't even seem to relate to romantic love at all.

Maybe my house placement mitigates that...perhaps I'm seeking an orgasmic experience with reality, but I want to drag my partner along with me

I'm back to this thread once again. Although I have this book, it's really nice to read bits n pieces of it separated from the whole.

On this particular read the followig stuck out for me:

quote:
Venus rules eros, the feminine receptive power to uranian kundalini energy. The teachings involve opening ourselves to this energy and the experience is chaotic to some degree.

It brought my attention to the fact that I have my Venus & Uranus conjunct in the 5th house which is the house of creativity, and sometimes sex... creative sex?! Perhaps Tantra (Uranian kundalini Energy), hmmm. I also know this aspect dosen't necessarily have to do with sex. It was just a spiral for me in that direction. I also feel right at home when chaos is around me in my environment.

This whole description sorta lingers in my mind everytime I read it. The part about:

quote:
Since receptivity in consciousness is strongly related to the level of fear in the psyche of any individual, many researchers, including myself, believe there is great collective amnesia about a catastrophe involving Venus around 1500 B.C.....Now with research on Chiron and the coming work on Nibiru, the awareness of the relation of the 1500 B.C. catastrophe to Venus, Chiron, and Nibiru will grow. I really like this for some reason. I have not read anything else on this matter, but it interests me. It rings true for me

For some reason my scalp crawls when I read the quote you pulled out about collective amnesia on something happening around 1500BC.....

And I read somewhere that Nibiru is supposed to belong to Libra (leaving Venus for Taurus, boooooo! ) -- but have not done any in-depth research on Nibiru yet..... perhaps IQ & BG have??

I have this book, too.

Chiron is the handle on a bucket config.,
the only planet occupying one half of my chart, and, besides the 1st house Moon,
which is reflective of others anyway,
Chiron is the only planet in the personal houses of my chart.

I also have:

Chiron Square MOON 6 orb
Chiron Op SUN 6.5 orb
Chiron Square JUPITER 1.5 orb

and,
Chiron Op Venus 8.5 orb
Chiron Trine Saturn 5 orb
Chiron Inconjunct Merc 2.5 orb
Chiron Inconjunct Mars 3.5 orb

I'm experiencing t.Chiron in my 1sthouse,
currently Squaring natal Chiron,
and oppositioning Jupiter (7th).
My urge to find significant relationships
is more intense and subconsciously motivated
than ever before in my life, right now.
My awareness of my weaknesses is likewise heightened.

N.Chiron is in my 3rd...
Clow says this suggests an acute perception of the faults of others,
and a frequent blindness to ones own faults,
as well as a serious difficulty learning from experience,
and adjusting to the world evironment.
Sounds like me.

"My friends, how desperately do we need to be loved and to love. When Christ said that man does not live by bread alone, he spoke of a hunger. This hunger was not the hunger of the body. It was not the hunger for bread. He spoke of a hunger that begins deep down in the very depths of our being. He spoke of a need as vital as breath. He spoke of our hunger for love.
Love is something you and i must have. We must have it because our spirit feeds upon it. We must have it because without it we become weak and faint. Without love our self-esteem weakens. Without it our courage fails. Without love we can no longer look out confidently at the world. We turn inward and begin to feed upon our own personalities, and little by little we destroy ourselves.
With it we are creative. With it we march tirelessly. With it, and with it alone, we are able to sacrifice for others."

On that, what kind of orb would you give for Chiron aspects?
Acc'd to Astro.com, I'm crawling with them; but if you reduce the orb to only a couple of degrees, I've only got Ch. conj. Venus and trine my Merc.

Interesting stuff, though.
I should try to get my hands on that book
Just the info on the Venus aspects are useful...

Me: Chiron conj. Venus
Hubby: Chiron sq. Venus

I just read this thread for the first time. I also have venus trine chiron, and I have to say it made perfect sense to me because I spent a long time in a relationship with someone who had gone through a lot of abuse in his life and wasn't really available to give in return. No matter who showed interest in me, I only had feeling for him.

Damn, I hope whatever karma issues I had with him I have corrected. This can't be a lifelong thing!

However, I am very dedicated and loyal if I love you and believe in you.

I have Chiron square Venus. Apparently I am trying to cope with being a female, which makes sense I guess. I'm straight, but I have huge feminist leanings and I kind of feel "masculine" sometimes... but most of my personal planets (except Venus) are in masculine signs anyway.
