I'm trying to look for planets or placements in my chart that give me a clue as to my artistic abilities or lack thereof. Can anyone give me some tips on what to look for? Also my info. is below if anyone wants to take a look but if I can be pointed in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. And you also happen to have Venus at home IN Taurus! Right there it shows you would be a natural in some form of artistic work. Some things to keep in mind.....the 5th house is the house of Creativity. Planets there show how someone tends to express themself. Neptune is another planet to look at. Neptune aspecting Venus or Moon is common in artists. So is a strong Uranus. Or Uranus aspecting Venus. These artists are original, ahead of their time, often talented in graphic arts.... Geminis are often good at creating things with their hands. Neptune is in your second house. You could make your money doing something Neptunian. gemini girl unregistered	posted October 06, 2005 04:12 PM ok i dunno much id say venus and neptune see in what houses they fall. their signs. not bragging, im very talented, and id say artistic. thats what other ppl say lol my venus is in taurus. i love singing making things beautiful anything. i think at www.magiastrology.com they mention something about venus and neptune in a chart in a notebook they have on the site. hope u get more replies. i like ur ques. maybe im just taking a shot uranus and nept. uranus is where ur open etc. expression and neptune is more artistic to me. check for things like great dancers would have some aspects like mars and neptune with venus gracful movements. but before i confuse u i think its better to get others advice lol cya. Gemini Nymph unregistered	posted October 06, 2005 10:32 PM Well, a chart can suggest someone is artistic, but the litmus is whether or not the person actually is attracted to crating art or is actively artistic, as opposed to merely just likely art and fantasing about being an artist. Taurus tends to have a lot of aesthetic sense, but is no guarantee that one will be artist. Liking and enjoyable art is one thing - being an artist is another. The Venus signs can be either. Artists come in all signs. Beyond that, there's countless indicators of someone who would express themselves artistically. I think having Mars in the 5th may give you a bit of creative drive, and your neptine is a fire signleton - this may suggest creativity, but mainly it's an indicator fo spiritual yearnings. If you are creative, your Mars and Neptune would figure heavily into your creative "voice." Your Sun-Moon-Mercury-ASC combo suggest to me that you're highly emotional, socialable and need a lot of interpersonal relationships to be happy. I would likewise suspect your talent lie mainly in the interpersonal realm. Creativity may factor in that in many ways. However to be honest, as far as being an artist, your chart looks like you'd be very active in creative outlets, like hobbies, as more a "escape" or avocation from the day-to-day than as your main purpose in life. You may have some talent, but chances are at only a modest level. You could extend your artistic abilities by learning skills and technique, but your inspirationa nd idedas probably run along more convntional veins of expressions. These is all fine fore your own personal prusuit that allow you to express yourself, but I doubt it's enough for you to get into Julliard or sell a painting to the MOMA. IP: Logged

I'd be willing to give your chart a thorough look-over (especially since I just finished up a few studies on this topic over the summer), but it would be helpful to know what sort of "artistic ability" you are hoping to find indicated. Fine arts? Literary arts? Musical facility? Fashion? Cosmetic? Domestic? Culinary? Creativity comes in many forms, each one having its own hallmark in the chart. IP: Logged
erato34 unregistered	posted October 07, 2005 01:12 AM This is slightly OT, but I just read an article by Georgeanne Dean on Viggo Mortensen. Dean said Viggo had the most artistic chart she's ever seen. For those of you who do not know, Viggo is an actor, painter, photographer, musician, writer, poet and publisher. He says he likes them all the same, as long as he's is "producing" something artistic. His information: 10-20-58 in New York City birthtime unknown. I am in pursuit of an education and career in graphic design well actually art directon. Gemni girl thanks for the tips too I will visit the website you posted. Gemini Nymph - Whoa... I am a very emotional person and I don't like it. Thank you for the insight. Six yrs. ago I was introduced to layout and design using Quark Xpress and Adobe Illustrator in the workplace. I fell in love with my duties and wanted to learn more. Last year I enrolled in school for the 2nd time (1st time majored in marketing didn't finish) majoring in graphic design. In ref. to your last para. To be honest my painting and drawing is mediocre but (however, i never had a desire to paint or draw until now and i do believe that practice makes perfect but those two things do not come naturally for me) but there is something about this field that I can really see myself contributing to in a major way. I love brainstorming and coming up with ideas. I have a desire to create. However, I don't sense a natural creative ability. So then I started questioning my artistic abilities and I figured if I can read my chart where my skills lie then I can sort of map out my goals in a realistic way/a little better. I do believe I have found a career path where I will be happy and always challenged. One more thing I am that person people tend to unload their thoughts and problems on and I think it is because I listen well but I find it draining most of the time. I would never want to do it professionally. I can't believe you saw that in my chart. Kat unregistered	posted October 08, 2005 12:57 PM I like the cancer moon 10th house. That means any cancerian artistic qualities can be shown to others on a large scale. Areas such as cooking, home decorating, psychology,etc. would be highly successful. Tausus in venus this could mean musical abilities. Uranus in Libra is a could mean a unique take on create abilities. Many well-know individuals have uranus in the first house. It enhances a certain brilliant quality. IP: Logged
