Topic: Do Cancers hold grudges?

This is sort of a silly question coming from me because I am a Cancer myself, but do Cancers (males) typically hold grudges? I know there are a few people who I would never speak to again in my life no matter what the circumstances, but they had to scr3w me pretty hard for that to happen. Usually I will forgive anyone to the point of being a doormat. Are Cancer males a little more unforgiving? I'm asking about a Cancer/Virgo guy to be more exact, which coincidentally is the same Sun/Moon combination of my brother, who I know has a much lower tolerance for any bs than myself. My brother had a serious relationship with a girl for years, but after they broke up she would call several times and he would never answer or return her calls. This was someone who he had loved, but he totally cut her out reasoning that "No, I'm not going to talk to her. She was mean to me." and that was it. What types of things would make a Cancer male respond this way to someone?IP: Logged |

cancers forgive but they dont forget .they will give benefit of doubts ( as they are non judgemental , normally) but if they feel that the mistake gets repeated . they 'll move on . over a period of time , they might forgive . normally when cancers feel that they have been used or if they haven't received as much as they gave , they would break the relation and do what your bro is doing . this was about the cancer males , i am not very sure about females. Cancers are as revengful as Scorpios, only that they (we) usually take revenge in our minds... Being hypersensitive makes you keep away those who hurt you... IP: Logged |

I don't really know. But when I think of this topic I laugh. I'm an Aries. Apparently Aries' don't hold grudges...which is bull, because I sure as hell do. I hold 'em for a lonnnngggg time. IP: Logged |

I don't think holding grudges is restricted to one sign only...it pretty much depends on the person and whether they can rise above their own feelings and move on from the situation. My father is a Taurus and he holds a grudge longer than anyone I have ever met - even to the point where he's forgotten the reason in the first place! I also know an Aquarius or two who say they don't hold a grudge, but find little ways to needle you to death in little ways that let you know they're smoldering inside! So, I think anyone's capable...

Hmmm... I'd say that cancers are very self-protective. I have cut people out of my life completely, but only after they have consistently proven that they will hurt me if trusted. Once I cut someone out of my life it's generally final. I don't feel resentful of them most of the time, so I wouldn't say I was holding a grudge. I'm always very nice and congenial if I run into them in the future, but once out of my life they will never be allowed back in as anything more than a very casual acquaintance. I just won’t let myself trust them any more. In my case, my decision to cut someone from my life springs from a sincere desire to avoid future hurt, drama, and loss.IP: Logged |

That's so true. But sometimes it's very hard to rise above and forgive and forget. I think the hardest thing in the world is to continue to be kind and polite to someone who has been darn right nasty to you, mainly when it was deliberate. But it's something to strive for.. because only through dignity and love can you gain the strength of character to continue being nice and overcome certain situations..instead of letting them end up in hate/revenge matches. Isn't that the whole point of life though? To be happy and make others happy.. It's very hard to attain happiness or to live a calm and steady life when you're holding on to past grudges which come from a place of hurt and anger. IP: Logged |

Im a cancer/virgo and when someone continuosly betrays my trust or stabs me in the back I just cut them out. I don't need to lose sleep over them.IP: Logged |

Yes, but Aries has the recourse of the frontal action as a response, which uses a lot of energy, while Cancers usually keep everything inside... IP: Logged |

Grudges are crazy, As long as you hold a grudge against the person that did you wrong that person will always have power over you. Let all the anger and animosity go. When your able to do that,that is where your true healing comes in. It is only normal to feel resentment and anger when someone does you wrong,but to hold onto it for years and years to come is crazy.I do not hold grudges and I am so glad that I know how to let it go.
