Topic: Techy question regards ascendants.

I have a Pisces ascendant, as I have mentioned before in other threads.....The thing is, it's a zero degree Pisces ascendancy, which (as one of my other friends has pointed out) is equivalent to a 30 degree Aquarian ascendant. What does this mean for my asc? Do I take it as a Piscean Asc or an Aquarian asc or an odd mixture of both? IP: Logged |

ASC on the cusp always gives 'an odd mixture of both' you should also bear in mind (and everyone else with cusp angles/houses) that there are still disputes going on in astro world concerning what is actually the moment of birth. Is it when we take our first breath, or maybe it is the moment when our umbilical cord is cut off or is it when we start coming out of mom's body?Besides you never know how accurate you birth certificate time is! That's why you should take into consideration both signs untill you have an opportunity to rectify your chart. Even if your ASC is 28 Aqua, you still possess both Aqua and Piscean traits. But of course it would be cool to know for sure whether you are Pisces or Aqua Rising    ------------------

Would a penchant for buying over the top clothes, i.e bright colors, alternative huge pants (phat pants), colorfull t's and prints, lots of fetish stuff (spikes, studs, cuffs and colors) -> be indicative of a possible Aqua rise?IP: Logged |

YES! To me your self-expression seems more Aquarian than Piscean. quote:

Some of these threads reveal stuff that isn't found anywhere else. So if your asc is in the 0 degrees does that make you a cups. My asc is 0 50'40. Is that a cusp? its conj nep as well.

Sweetface, You should read ASC descriptions more attentively to find out whether you are more of a Sag or Cappy, besides there are so many factors should be taken into consideration! If for example you are strongly influenced by Uranus you will dress alternatively even if you are Cappy rising! The thing that can also help you is the sign on your DSC. I read somewhere that sign on DSC describes qualities we manifest while in close one-to-one relationships. e.g. At the very beginning when I just got interested in astrology and did not know my exact time of birth (my mom said either 20 min past midnight or 20 min to midnight) I had to decide whether I am Aqua or Cappy Rising. At first I was sure I am Aqua (I am strongly influenced by Uranus) but then when I looked at my DSC in Leo I realised that it was not the case! I crave for emotional security in relationship and am very careful, protective and sensitive. I just could not possibly have Leo on DSC!
When 6 months later they sent me my birth certificate duplicate, I found out that my ASC is Cappy! Loopy, You have Neptune conj ASC, you style and self-expression is strongly influenced by this planet so it will be a bit harder to choose between the signs. You should go to Free Astrology Couse and read Lalalinda's threads 'Planets Rising' and 'Conjunctions - Planet Blendings', you'll find them interesting I am sure! ------------------

i have a 29* gem rising. i think the 29* & 0* risings are that way for a reason. despite all the disputes on what the exact birth time is, i think that the #s that you get are meant to be for your path this time around. i hardly notice the gem side of my ascendant (but it spose it may just get mixed in with my airy sun & moon) and feel much more like & look more like the cancer descriptions. that's hard again (yeah i'm doing the libra debate with myself heehe) because my air sun is in the watery 4th and my air moon in the watery 8th. anyhoser, the cusps make quite a nice blend of both! the boundaries are really blurred. i think we decided it to be this way before we entered the earth arena so that we could experience both planetary energies (sort of semi-sextile energy) working together to help us along our path (earth-school). ------------------
