Is a relationship doomed if one's Venus opposes the other's Uranus? I have been reading on some websites about different relationship aspects and one site says that Venus Opp Uranus causes breakups and divorces almost always.
Is this aspect in synastry absolutely fated to ruin the relationship or can other good aspects like Sun/Moon (double whammy), Sun/Ven, Moon/Moon, etc. keep the relationship happy?

Not necessarily doomed at all.

Just be aware that Uranus will need a bit of space at times (check the house position).

Everything is relative in astrology. Uranus is a tricky - in aspect to a partner's personal planets, it can cause the Uranus partner to be erratic, unreliable, self-serving, detached, and unemotive. As you can imagine, if in aspect to Venus, the Venus person could be hit very hard by this kind of behavior.

But other aspects *can* stablize Uranus and help the two partner work on any problems Uranus brings up.

This works best if the Uranus person has natal aspects (aspects within his own chart) that help stablize his Uranus. But if not then strong, harmonious aspects witht he partner should help too. This can include, but not limited to:

If partner's Sun, moon, or Venus are strongly and harmoniously in aspect (conjunctions or trines) with the Uranus person's moon. This creates an intimate bonding that Uranus can't eaily overturn.

Harmonius aspects with both partner's Mercury, ideally with the other's Sun, moon or ASC. This helps keep communciation positive and open.

And if you have any of these good aspects in double whammy, that's even better.

Not at all, in fact its a pretty good aspect to have.

It indicates a sudden strong sexual attraction when first meeting. One of you brings excitement and adventure into the other's life. And they in turn, bring love, affection, and companionship into your life. The two of you may be involved a mutual group or organizational activities. There may also be a mutual interest and concern over occult or humanitarian endeavors. This aspect is found in many same sex relationships

Opposite aspects aren't always negative, in some cases, such as this, they make for a positive relationship.

I'm so glad to hear that it's not necessarily a bad thing! :-)
When I did an analysis of our synastry together on a website it wrote:

Negative aspect: A meeting that could be passing and highly disappointing in the end. The attraction is strong, but there is something inconstant in this partnership. It may be that the feelings run hot and cold, or that circumstances are such that their romantic feelings for one another are interrupted often.

Since we do have a lot of harmonious aspects and good double whammy's, then hopefully this aspect won't have that bad effect
