Hi All!

Just out of curiosity...what's more important in relationships, Ascendent or the Moon sign? I'm an Aries sun, Aquarius moon & Gemini rising and I'm always attracted to Geminis but wouldn't I be better suited with Aquarians? I'm juggling a Gemini & an Aquarius at the momement...

I vote moon too...
cause thats a part of the real you,the ascendant is a mask you wear to the outside world,so when your in a relationship, you trust a person,so you the moon really takes off.

But for initial attraction, the ascendant is important I guess...

Thanks guys!! So what you're saying is that emotionally I'd be better off with the Aqua man but physically I should be with the Gemini.....so I can have my cake and eat it too??? Wow! This site is great!! Totally kidding...I'd vote for moon too...only aren't Aquarian moons unemotional to begin with??

With Geminii rising your 7th house is probably ruled by Sag. A sag would be a good choice for your Aries sun and still be compatible with your Aqua moon.

Is Aqua ruling your 9th house? This person would be a good philosophical/intellectual buddy. A Geminii would shine through your personality.

I'm always attracted to Geminis

I find that when we are consistently drawn to a certain Sun sign it may mean that they are good for us for whatever reason- perhaps not as eternal soulmates, but there may be something we need to learn or unlearn, or remember, or work out with a certain Sun sign to be able to move on in the evolution of love. So- if you are drawn to Geminis- go for Geminis. Perhaps you have some unfinished business...
Also- check your progressed moon on astro.com- I've discovered it will often be in the sign that you seem to be attracting and attracted to at the moment.
When it comes to compatibility in general- I would never go by rising sign, or moon, or even sun alone.. really, they all come together in a big and beautiful mess to produce the person you are with all your likes and dislikes.
As for juggling- I've never had good experiences with it- but I suppose if you're going to do it: Aries, Aquarius and Gemini are just about perfect for a love triangle. Weird- I had one with that combo- I was the Aqua. Good luck.. don't be too naughty, for your own good...

Kat - Yes, My Aqua moons in the ninth house and this guy is an intellectual buddy but I'm very attracted to him as well.

White Rabbit - Story of my life...before I start dating someone serious, I always have two guys come at me at once...one becomes a boyfriend the other (if he's an evolved male) becomes a friend. No bad Karma here!

I think their Rising will play a big role in what you are immediately attracted to. But as for meaningful exhanges in a romantic sense, the Moon.

Hmmm...

Since your Moon is trined with your Asc, I don't think it's that much of a big deal...

I think you will get along with both Gemini's or Aquarius.

MM,

I do get along with both very well and two of my best friends are Gem's & Aqua's. I have a much stronger "emotional" connection with Aqua man plus his moon is in Leo, even though he has a Cappy rising Oh well, I can't have everything....

hey rede!

i wanted to say that for you i would say aqua, although i am in a relationship with an aries and there is definitely a soul connection there. however i think this works better when the man is aries and woman gemini, because gem men can be quite a bit diff from gem women. also, geminis and aries are supposed to be tied in karmic terms...they have karmic lessons for each other (im the wrong person to ask i dont believe in karma). but so goes the theory. also, since ur moon and asc arent too different (harmonious aspect) im thinking it wouldnt make too drastically big of a difference (and the fact that you may have personal planets in common with both aqua and gem, which are just one sign away from aries on both sides). on that note, u might take a note at the two composites, the two relationships wouldnt be diametrically opposed in the dynamics, but yes the direction and focus of the relationships would be different (one comp sun probably being near Pisces and other one near Taurus).

for myself, (gem sun/scorp moon/libra rising) i find that the rising is actually a better indicator of who i will get along with. i am not really compatible with any water sign men, despite a scorpio stellium in house 2. i think my aries venus, 9th house gem stellium, and libra rising overpower that water, and i am ultimately compatible with air/fire men who have some earth in their chart.

hey Whiterabbit i just wanted to add that i think you are absolutely friggin right heheheh. i had a leo fetish for years and was with a leo for about 4 yrs and finally got over it with some very valuable lessons under my belt. although i still like leos i am a little bit cautious now becoz of the negative experiences i had in that relationship. however i woudlnt trade it for anything in the world and i dont think it was a mistake becoz it was what i needed at that time in my life, to mature, the way i did.

btw WR who did u choose in the triangle, i am guessing aries? those aries folks are something...so charismatic, like 400 watt bulbs, they light up the room they walk in. esp the men, and they tend to be unrealistically good looking which helps...there goes my venus in aries.

SG,

OMG!! We (Aries) are so unrealistically good looking...How did you know??? Oh The modesty!! I have Sun, Mercury, Venus & Saturn in Aries...this must mean I'm drop dead gorgeous! Now my dear SG, you couldn't possibly be a tad bit biased due to your involvement with one of my brothers, could you? The fact that you don't believe in Karma....typical Gemini...questioning everything that is put forth however your scorpio moon makes me believe otherwise.....

lol rede
actually no im not biased becoz of the aries im with in fact ive been trying to dump this guy for the past 6 weeks now and he comes back like a bad sequel. u have to give him points for persistence if nothing else (!). he is wonderful but we have very different political and religious ideologies and that worries me because the setting that we will be living in , the life we will be leading, both of us have certain expectations (mine being quite liberal, his being kind of conservative), and it makes me wonder if things could ever work out (logically my mind says probably not!), altho i do believe ive fallen for him. and he is absolutely head over friggin heels in love with me i mean believe me no man has been so much (!).

despite his occasional annoying nuances i think he is the best looking man on the planet, thats my opinion and i kind of have strange taste but he has that cute boyish face and the cutie pie smile with the deeeeep sexy voice, huge biceps and hes tall and arab need i say more. *swoon*

Hi Rede411,

Be careful with that Cappy rising especially with your Aries Sun...

I am married to a Sag Sun/Virgo Moon/Cappy Rising guy... I have Aries Sun/Taurus Moon/Scorpio Rising...

And boy, everything is ok with us except for when we both push in our selfish streak and then that's it! World War III...

Then again, he's a Gemini with Cappy Rising. Very interesting individual since Geminis are considered forever young, and Cappy's pretty much born old. What a contradiction.

Personally though, against all the astrological advises, I would vote for the Gemini still, just because I adore Geminis childlike attitude to life.

I have my descendant in Taurus and Moon in Taurus. Although I get along with Tauruses, and even married one long time ago, I will never do it again.

The point is: Astrology says you are more compatible with one sign doesn't mean that that is the right one for you. Follow your gut instinct, your feelings, and everything will fall into place.

SG, I'm swooning baby!! You go Girl!!

MM,
I was married to a Gemini Sun/Cappy moon/Gemini rising and I really think his cappy moon did us in..aside from it squaring my Aries sun...he was too depressing..atleast 1/2 the time. Since this aqua man has Moon in Leo we not only conjuct sun/moon but trine moon/sun as well so I'm thinking that's a really good thing. But yes, your warning is noted. Much Thanks!!
