Topic: OMG... google solved an astrological mystery!!!

i'm so happy today. for months..infact now around a year i have been wondering as to which astrological systems is correct when it comes to calculating the planets 'actual' position in the skies during the time of a person's birth. now i have solved the mystery! and how? well a short time back i learned in a pc mag. that google has a definition system where it can explain meaning of various terms by searching in from vairous reliable websites. so i just punched in 'sidereal' in google. this is what u have to actually type... "define: sidereal". and it gave me meaning of the word sidereal. then there were several related term at the bottom. so i clicked on 'sidereal astrology" and this is what it returned... Sidereal astrology is the practice by some western and all Indian astrologers of basing their study of the sky on the actual position of the planets in relation to the starry background. Most astrologers in the Americas and western Europe adopt the tropical zodiac approach and base their study on a notional view of the heavens which does not match the actual present positions of the stars. The sidereal zodiac is used everywhere else. this above entier para was found on google. try it ur self. punch in "define: sidereal astrology" and hit enter (return key). and be suprised to know what while western astrologer base their interpretations of individuals on a psychological plane they refer to wrong charts at the first place. so fellows, let us, atleast in this thread explore sidereal astrology. what i know is the the interpretation of various combination remain the same but it is the very combinations that change when calculated in both ways. i'll post here material from the web to explore sidereal system as much as we can. NOT TO PROVE TROPICAL WRONG but to study the difference and adopt to the correct accordingly. any knowflake interested? IP: Logged |

for those interested in their sidereal kundlis or charts may give their birth info and email id (a scrap id) where i can send them their charts in pdf formats with interpretations from a software i have called "horoscope explorer pro."maybe that will help u know why u aren't what u thought u were and why u became just because u thought u had to be!!! I'd love to take you up on that offer as well Evolution! I did a sidreal chart sometime back ... but i've learned that most interpretations are for Western. So i kinda gave it up. But recently i've been thinking about it again - things just arent really meshing for me using Western. SO, if you have the time, and only if you have the time i would love a chart/interpretation.  *HI* Geministone!! How are you! Nice to see ya around. It's been a while since we last conversed. hello! i realise my software doesnot have all the places in the world as its is indiacentric! so here is a way to get ur charts done...go to www.ganeshaspeaks.com . register there for free. give them ur email id while registering. make ur chart and they will email it to u. follow the instructions carefully. the knowflakes what u can do is email me the charts at plutonic_evolution@yahoo.co.in and i'll use my knowledge, books and internet to intrepret and also lern ur charts. although i cannot gurrantee u about the interpretations i can tell u that this website being owned by no.1 indian astrologer will give u correct charts (kundlis) which u can interpret urself also as u learn. Hey Ev, that's fascinating, does that mena that we'd have different planetary positions or aspects, cus there's lots of things i don't get/ can't relate to about my astrology stat's. Evolution - I wanted to say thank you for taking the time to look over my chart. It was rather enlightening to read your take on it. It was as if i was looking into a mirror, while reading that. Kinda shocking in a sense. In most instances it was extremly accurate. Some i couldnt decifer, especially the part about bossing over siblings. thanks angel_of_hope for ur acknowledgement. i said u would be bosing over ur siblings because ur mars is in the 3rd at 100%fire power in leo and empowered by the presence of jupiter. maybe u were the leading person who directed her siblings than the other way.IP: Logged |

I got my chart through that ganeshaspeaks website, and I did not understand what I was looking at. If you go to the astro.com free chart selection and change the zodiac from Western geocentric (tropical) to Hindu/Lahiri geocentric (sidereal), do you get the same info? Do you also have to change the house system? To vedic? Thanks. I'm very interested in this topic, I just could not comprehend that very different looking chart I got, not to mention different names for everything.IP: Logged |

the chart u made at ganeshaspeaks.com is the actualy rounded figure (in terms of house system) chart that indian astrologers refer to. but the chart system u make choosing hindu and vedic etc at astro.com is perhaps the post acurate ever. why indian astrologer miss the mark inspite of having the right calculations is that they refer to one sign one house system. where as thats not the way actual 12 houses fall in the zodiac.IP: Logged |

I don't get it, Evolution. I did what you said in astro.com, but now, according to that, my Sun is in Leo instead of Virgo, and Moon in Cancer, etc. Everything is set back by one sign! Does it do that for you too? And do you feel that this fits you?Sorry, but I am confused... I went to the website you recommended and registered, gave them my birth data, but haven't heard from them yet. I am curious about all this. I have heard people swear by Vedic astrology... I got the chart from that place, but I definitely didn't understand what was what. I knew the Surya was the Sun, because it was at 29 degrees Pisces, and I've gotten that from astro all the time...  IP: Logged |
