Anyone knows the time taken for each of the planets and luminaries to move from one entire sign to another? (E.g. We all know it takes roughly 30 days for Sun to move from one sign to another, what about other planets?)

I read quite abit about astrology, but I have yet to come across the technique to know the actual/close timing to specific happening. (E.g. the age you will probably get married)

How do you actually derive timing to advice people on what's best for them?

Hope someone could shed some light in here.

Cheers

Monk,

You could look this up for yourself in an epheris. Fortunately there are many epherides available here: http://www.astro.com/swisseph/swepha_e.htm

I understand that the ephemeris is about transition, which is important to trigger a major event in anyone's life. How exactly do you see that it triggers a major event due to transit? When transiting planets hits critical degree or when is difficult aspect with other natal planets?

I also understand that a Progressed Sun will probably last three years and Progressed Moon 2 1/2 years in a sign - which worked out to be about 1 degree per month (I am talking about secondary progression).

How about a progressed Venus, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Jupiter... and the slower moving planets? How many degree do they actually move in a year? and their effect will probably last how long?

***

Is it possible to derive an overall prediction (timing and general event), merely looking at the natal chart - e.g. the age you may probably get married?

Advance thanks for those who could help me with my queries. =)

Cheers
