My closest friend was born just two days before me, on the same year. Our charts have almost idenitcal aspects, but she has an Aqua Moon while mine is in Pisces. She's a Virgo rising, while I'm either a late Sag or early Cap rising depending on the house system used. In the case of using Cap rising, the ruler of my chart would be Saturn in Virgo. We have had very similar life patterns, and people are always stating how we look like sisters. Recently, we made a new friend whom we both like instantly. Well, we started talking about astrology and it turns out this new friend is also a Sag with an Aqua Moon. Not only that, but she had a similar negative childhood trauma as we both did. To top off the freak factor, both of my friends have Aquarian sons named Christain while my son is an Aqua rising/Uranus in Aqua in the first. Maybe its all just some freak coincedence of the universe, but it is still neat. Do any of you knowflakes also find your friends to be of the same Sun Sign as you? Or have you ever met someone, and clicked instantly and later found out they have similar chart placements?

Definitely - some of my dearest friends are Cancers. And my boyfriend is a Cancer with many of the same planetary placements. I think there's a natural empathy that exists between two people that share a similar astrological profile - an empathy that binds you together and makes it possible for you to be wholly yourself without fear of judgment.

Planet,

Thinking of it in terms of astrological synastry, similar birth timed people reinforcing each other makes sense. If we place either person's chart around the other, we will find that each person for the most part stimulates the same energies and houses as the other person. So each person reinforces the other's energy.

This is funny that you would mention this but I have something a lil similar to this I have 2 good Pisces girlfriends and a leo girlfriend with a Pisces moon. One of my Pisces girlfriend has a daughter that is Leo and a Pisces Son, the other Pisces girlfriend has a Pisces Son and the Leo has a Pisces Son and Leo daughter. I have a Pisces Son and a Leo son. The first Pisces girlfriend who has the Leo daughter was born the same day as my Leo Son.

Great thread, Planet Soul!

My best friends do not share my sun sign,... really, only one actually shares birth year.... but, definitly strong synastry ties. I have noticed, due to interest being sparked in another, similar thread, here at LL, that my Sun's ruling planet's natal placement in anothers chart, definitly plays into things a lot. Seems that I have more ease with those who do not share the sign placement of my own. Not saying that I do not have people in my life, friends or otherwise, who do... just that we are a bit more difficult, to each other... my own Son, shares the sign placement with me

So is this astrological or generational?
Basically someone who is born within two months of me with the same rising sign will share lots of planets with the same placement. Does that mean we will automatically feel an affinity towards each other? or is the relating due to being the same age and generation?

Hmmmmm...

I've found that I'm not at ease with a lot of Cancers- I have my own emotions to deal with. (I truly don't mean that to sound that self-centered) I'm a good amount of mutable, so most of my good friends are Sag, Gemini, and Pisces. But almost none of my really close friends are Cancer. I'm the only "Mom" in any of my group of friends, lol. I get along the most with Scorpio though (4 of my closest friends are Scorpio), so I think the greatest of your friends would be those with a Sun sign the same as your Moon sign. I can't get along with Taurus. :-(

Interesting observation Kat. Well, in my case its both. One of my friends is born couple of days before me, the other was born two years before both of us. The patterns of astrology coming alive in interpersonal relationships just intrigue me to pieces MP, I also do not click with Taureans at all. I have a sister and a brother both Bulls, and we are always annoying each other. I love them, but I just don't "get" them and vice versa. Now here's an interesting realization, both of my fellow Archer friends are females. I have never had an Archer boyfriend or an Archer friend (that I know of). However, my significant other does have an Archer Moon.

One of my best friends is a fellow scorpio, there are a lot of similarities in our lives, as well!
Our daughters share a birthday.. although her daughter is closer to mny son's age than my daughter's.
We are both with Aries partners. All these other things.. like finishing sentaces and sharing private jokes. It's interesting. I have noted it before.
My good friends also share a lot of chart similarities.. the group of us have common signs of importance in our charts. including our offspring.
