Lol, today, I was talking to a friend about astrology. My friend was like "You're an Aries? That's so weird, I would have thought you were a Gemini!" (I don't think she knows about stuff like ascenants and such.My question is - Does your MC affect how other people percieve your personality? I know that the 10th House represents your reputation, and all, but can it represent you personality? Or could that be because Gemini and Virgo (my ascendant) are both ruled by Mercury. hmm My MC is Pisces, so is Jup and Merc (and vesta)I wouldn't be surprised if someone confused me for a Pisces. The way I dress looks Piscean. But people have been more likely to confuse me for Aqua and Scorpio in the past. IP: Logged |

I've been confused for an Aqua, Pisces and Scorp sometimes. In fact, some people are shocked when they find I'm a Virgo. I have a lot of the traits, but most of them are inward. I can be a slob sometimes lol which is maybe why people don't get the Virgo vibe. However, the sarcasm should be a dead give away. I have a dry sense of humor, and anyone that knows me will tell you that. Maybe people can confuse the 7th house with your sun (or other placements) because I act and feel like a Pisces sometimes.IP: Logged |

Nove,The Midheaven represents how the outer world sees you. The Ascendant represents how you see yourself. However, if you have a strong stellium (collection of energy) in a particular house, people could identify you with that stellium. For example, if a person had 5 planets conjunct in the 5th house (Leo's house), people might think of the person as a "Leo" type. In the outer world, Tim IP: Logged |

Nove, I think MC - is what we want to be, why people that have Sun on MC are successful in life? because they already have qualities they need to succeed! If you ask someone what traits they would like to have, they will describe their sign on MC!ASC - is how others/outer world perceive us, this is how we present ourselves; when it comes to celebrities/politicians or other 'public people' it is their MC sign that shows itself, however, while among their peers, they will act ASC-like not MC-like! DCS - becomes apparent in one-to-one / intimate relationships. NN sign - is what we have to develop,
NN house - is how/where we have to develop these qualities. SN - is what we should be aware of, this is the easiest (not the best though) way for us to escape from a problem. I agree with Tim that stelliums in houses may give prominent traits/qualities of house significators. For instance, a Leo with a 4 or 5 planet stellium in the 8th house will be much more scorpionic than leo-like. Of course (and again) all chart's placements and aspects should be looked at and taken into consideration.  IP: Logged |

Hm...I don't see myself as remotely Virgoan... I have a stellium, sort of. Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn in Capricorn in the Fourth House. They're not all conjunct, though, so technically it's not a stellium. I've never heard anyone describe me as either Cancerian or as being Capricorn like, either, though. quote:

I wouldn't want to be Geminian. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but if I had to describe the traits I wish I had, they'd probably come out to Libra or Pisces. IP: Logged |

Virgo is about daily work, routines that we do to better understand and relate to others. Therefore it also has to do with analysis, carefully looking at information again and again until it makes sense to us. Gemini is about thinking, also writing, and communicating with others in general. Both Gemini and Virgo are ruled by Mercury, so you have personal routine analysis and others who see you as a writer. hi wilson and peri , what you said makes total sense for me  i am a libra rising and people see me as so friendly and the peacemaker, and somehow so many men see me as a homemaker (those fools ) jk. but i really would see myself as more of a passionate, exciting and childish kind of lover (venus chart ruler being in DC aries), although this all merely shows through my 9th house gemini stellium (including sun)..... btw peri agree with ur observation about the MC, when i think about what i want to do and be in life, its pretty much what i am now , just want to keep on at it, and i dont think i would have to drastically change myself on the way (if i learn things every step thats great but i dont think i need a transformation to be successful!). i have sun/merc/mars close to MC (in 9th), particularly mars is the closest i think. Love
