Lousianagrl - no, not depression

quote:
Neptune Transits in Aspect to the Natal Sun: These increase the imagination and sensitivity. The smooth aspects (sextile and trine) make you feel good. Everything seems to have an extra sparkle. the times when you have those are good for getting involved with charitable causes or doing something creative. So go ahead and volunteer to work at that soup kitchen, or join that amateur theatrical group. Take that course in literature or painting. The stress aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) work a little differently. Since the Sun rules the body and Neptune rules drugs and alcohol, be very careful what you consume. It takes less alcohol to get drunk under these aspects, and reactions to drugs and medication are more likely when Neptune hits. But that’s not the half of it. On its negative side, Neptune rules delusions of all sorts. Under the stress aspects, you never see trouble coming. Be extra careful in any and all business dealings now. The main problem will be yourself, because you won’t be interested in reality. All you will want to do is look at the pretty colors. People are especially vulnerable at this time to the siren song of cults. Keep a grip or else you will wind up giving them all your worldly wealth and devoting yourself forever to the head guru. You can be much more easily influenced by others under the stress aspects of Neptune to your Sun. Watch out. As always, check the House that the Sun was in when you were born as well as the house that Neptune is transiting through. See which signs have Leo and Pisces on the cusp (beginning). Those are the areas of your life that will be affected the most.

Hexxie - your post is very insightful, thanks for sharing If this is a good time to meditate, then that’s great. So it’s not all bad, also my perception is increased - so considering my Sun WOW! lol

Rede, t_s & BlueT - come along, and jump on the hazy express. Our destination? As far away from reality as possible

Awww 26 lol how far are you into it honey? It’s going retro during Sep *cries* which makes it last even longer *stares into the abyss*

Well, thank you, WaterNymph! I'll have to do some more checking into this.

Lately I've been having kind of the opposite problem, but along the same lines:

We've been together for a while and I keep feeling suspicious when there is no logical reason for it. I wonder if it has to do with this transit...

I'll do more research. Thanks for the heads up!

I know someone with the trine natally, Neptune trine Venus, and he does pick up likes and dislikes from other people very easily, especially fun ones. And I knew someone with Neptune square Venus natally, and he takes on the personality of the person most beautiful in the room, it's as if everything beautiful is so special and significant nothing else matters.

Neptune can sap your will, make you focus on trivial things-

It's important to stay focused,

Good Luck on your Neptune transits!

dear waternymph,

i have venus in aquarius, and neptune has been transiting over my venus for quite some time now. earlier this year, back in february (?) i think it was, neptune stationed on my venus before it moved retrograde. now it's moving forward again and it will soon enough conjunct my venus again, for the last time i hope. it'll be another year at least i'm feeling the effects of this.

it has been hard: venus is my chart ruler, as i have a libra ascendant. venus is located in my 5th house, conjunct my NN and square my saturn in 8th exact. it's the house(s) venus rules plus the location of venus that you want to look at, that's where the most activity will be. and the aspects your venus makes of course. as you'd expect, neptune activating my 5th venus/NN has clouded my vision in love/creativity matters. i'm an artist, and i havent had much energy lately to do anything creative. i'm supposed to have an art show in january and i'm just not ready. i've been feeling so lethargic and unwilling to get going on things. i don't want to deal with reality.

i've also felt confused, sad. i had a recent love affair and it's knocked me on my feet. i've cried buckets and generally moped around like a teenage girl. see, neptune is highlighting my 5th house venus so love matters are definitely difficult (this was especially so during the retrograde period). my venus-saturn square is also activated; it's more visible in my reactions to things. i'm reticent and feeling socially awkward, depressed.

one thing ive noticed is that it's definitely true the house or houses venus rules is affected. i have had a hard time keeping to a strict diet (there's 20 pounds i've been meaning to lose for FOREVER), and i haven't wanted to weigh myself in order to get motivated to actually do it! this is because venus rules my 1st house, so of course my sense of self is being affected. venus also rules my 8th, that's just another reason issues of intimacy have been hard for me lately.

anyway, it hasn't all been terrible, just hard getting through. the end of the love affair i had earlier this year (when neptune stationed on my venus was right around when it ended!) was a big bummer. that's been hard.

i do hope this helps.

sincerely,
chrissy

Hey faye

My hubbie has Aqua Moon.....it gives a sense of detachment with the emotions, which I would say at times with Scorpio Sun and Venus (I think you have that too)....would be useful......

Errrr....could you give me some of that please...hahaha....

Does this count?

Aquarius is ruled by Neptune and owns 12th House.

I have a natal Neptune in the 12th House.

Sue!
Thank you!
You said:
sense of detachment with the emotions

AAHH! That would explain how under adverse or terrible situations or pain...I can usually keep a cool head and not freak out. I will freak out a little later...once the danger has passed but while I am needed...I can stay very logical. Or while in pain...I detach and look at it as a thing to study. To analyze.
I have set my own bones or stiched myself up...by employing such detachment first of emotion...then fear or horror mean nothing and I can get on with what needs done without freaking out from terror or fear..
So the Aquarian moon does that huh?

Furthermore (I really just wanted to use that word!), transiting Neptune is not only conjunct my natal Moon, but opposed my natal & transiting Saturn in Leo. They're playing tug-o-war with me emotions! Transiting Neptune is also part of the Grand Cross thingy we've got transiting in the heavens right now, which is overlaying my natal T-square <breathes deeply>...

My Venus is in Scorp too (but i have a Libra Sun. It IS progressed to Scorpio tho..)! Do I even have emotions? <thinks about it> HEHE - You can have some of my non-emotions if you want!

I have Aqua ruling my 6th and my Mars, NN, vertex and Vesta are all in Aqua. Things have been strange on the job front, but I'm staying motivated to make things better for myself, jobwise adn healthwise, which is one positive benefit of Neptune-Mars transit: you get the energy to go after your dreams.

Neptune's right on top of my NN, which is at 15 Aqua. I'm still not sure what that's all about. I'm kind if a fog sometimes about the circumstances of my life and where it's all going. I just try to have faith tto do what I know I need to do. My mars is at 18 Aqua, so there's so time before that transit's through. Hopefully by then I'll be on my way to a better life.

One thing lately is I've noticed I get stressed out and anxious easier than usual. I have been needing more downtime, which is fine with me. I'm a Pisces moon, so Neptunian tendency to be bum around, daydream and sleep in until noon are just OK by me.

Love your replies AG. So clear-cut and straightforward. And no excess verbosity to water down what you say either.
