Hi again ,If my True Node is at 29 degrees Virgo, but the Mean Node is at 0 degrees Libra, should I only pay attention to the former, or is there such a thing as a "north node cusp", meaning that both signs should be taken into account? Greetings, Newbie IP: Logged |

Hey newbie -The True Node is the most accurate of the two, so go with that one. "...The motion of the nodes is normally retrograde at the rate of roughly one degree every 19 days (compare the 19 year cycle of lunation); periods of direct motion are considered unfortunate. I should clarify here that the Moon's Mean Node is always retrograde, but the True Node oscillates according to the Moon's "wobble". This is caused by the gravitational effects of the Earth/Moon interaction, so the True Node sometimes has periods of direct motion. The Mean Node averages this "wobble" out..."
Does anyone else have any background info on this as well? I know that most astrologers perfer to use True... ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |
