Does anyone here have their MOON in the 10th House. My nephew has this placement at the top of his chart with a wide conjunction to his mC--Aries.

Never known a 10th house moon...

Hey Lily! My boyfriend has his moon in the 10th also. What I've noticed about this placement is that he needs to feel needed and appreciated in his job or he gets cranky! It seems as though he's very intuitive in this area. Also very sensitive. This can be either good or bad as you can imagine! Here's what Bob Marks has to say:

quote:
Moon in the Tenth House: The career, and our attitude towards it, go through "phases". After all, the Moon does show where we are moody. This influence can bring either us or what we do before the public, no matter what the career. Some specific occupations it inclines to include anything to do with the home and food. This takes in work in hotels and restaurants, as well as the dairy industry.

I dooooooo. My Moon is directly on my MC in Leo. My career wants have gone through phases. Drives my mom nuts. I've changed my major 15 times in one semester. From everything from Biochemistry to Marketing. I'm staying at Entertainment Marketing and the Music Business for now.

Everything I've ever wanted to do however, I've wanted to be known for, famous for and be significant to the public. I need to feel significant and be recognized publically in whatever career I choose. That could be the Leo influence, though. I need to be in the spotlight of society.

Not only that but I'd only feel comfortable in a career that I was proud of.

Both of my children have the Moon in the 10th conj. Mars. I've thought about it having to do with the career, but its still way too early to tell. Lol, my daugther is 8 and my son is 6 years old. Another angle I've considered, is that it relates to the storm between their father and I. Traditionally, the 4th house is said to represent the mother and the 10th house the father. Well, their father was/is a violent man so that may explain the Moon conj. Mars. This had much to do with my decision to divorce him, which had the consequence of my raising them alone without him. So there you go. Maybe I am the Mother Moon and the Daddy as well, so my place is in the 10th and not the 4th

Thanks everyone. This boy says he wants to be famous when he grows up though I am not sure what career. He is very smart and pretty intense. That Moon in 10th definitely seems like it will be career related ...

Since we are talking about the 10th House, what is their MC (Midheaven) in?

Lily,

With Moon (home) focused in the 10th house (duty, also career), it possible that real estate might be an area of career focus or possible fame for him. It seems to have worked for Donald Trump at least!

Careering,

Tim

His MC is in Aries.. The Moon sits at 15, MC at 26. Venus sits right on descendant...

Tim. Do you mind if I ask...Forgive me--and it's not a come on line...sheer curiosity really ... What's your sign?

PS his idol is actually Donald Trump. That makes your comment even more interesting/humorous.

My mother has moon in the 10th and it's very similar to other earth moon placements-needs to feel needed, works hard, likes to be busy, good with people one on one, doesn't like animals and children as much as other placements. Home is important and likes to show off.

Moon in the 10th-my mother works in a resort, but that has a lot to do with her moon in pisces as well. She is very driven to suceed through other people, she has tried to run my sisters career and my own and is VERY moody which she turns to wine for-health is very up and down too.

Didn't like growing up with her due to my Cancer moon which is always moody but outgoing. I do like earth moons now because I am more grounded, but I have a hard time being a partner with one as they are independent.

Sixth house and 2nd house moons also play pivotal roles in my life, but the one thing I have noticed is all earth moons and earth moon houses have a good eye and like some flash in their homes.

I have moon in 10th house in Aqua conj my MC.
I very much need to be needed. In fact "Do you need me??" is my favourite line
I am committed to my job even if I like it or not. I love animals and babies.

Ooops. I just realized you did say his MC was in Aries. I would think the combination of a Moon in the 10th with an MC in Aries would translate to someone who is headstrong. They may want to stand out, and maybe this is why he feels he will be well-known.

Here's some people who have their MC in Aries :::

Angelina Jolie
Jack Nicholson
George W. Bush
Al Pacino
Julia Roberts
John Travolta
Mariah Carey
Bill Gates
Cameron Diaz
Celine Dion
Sting
Liv Tyler
Tyra Banks
Alannis Morisette
Lisa Marie Presley

... just to name a few

I can see where these are people you feel as if they are really in need of having to say something to the world... like Lisa Marie Presley - she feels forced and compelled to make her mark, although she may have spent most of her life avoiding the spotlight.

Of the people I listed above, the following ALSO have their Moon in their 10th House :::

Bill Gates
Celine Dion
Tyra Banks

Lily,

I THOUGHT "the Donald" would be appealing to your nephew! It sounds like he is definitely interested in being a "real estate" person!

As to your question, as you know there are many different planets, each which has its own sign...but I'm going to take a wild guess and say you are asking for my Sun sign! My Sun sign is Virgo.

Signing,

Tim

I would think the Moon in Libra in the 10th would be good, especially when looking at the other placements you mentioned. Aquarians need that bit of grounding in order to express all those wonderful ideas they have, as well as to follow through on them, and it looks like you have that going for you.

Aquarius,

With Libra (relationships) modifying Moon (home) focused in the 10th house (duty, also career), it is possible that marriage counseling might be a career for you.

Careering,

Tim
