Topic: my big trip

hey all  i am going on a trip in ten days. its a trip that i've wanted to go on for 10 years and have been planning and working towards for two. its so close now and i'm scared. i feel like crying because i think i'll miss everything so much, but i never miss anything when i go away. i'll be away from home for probably 6-9 months and i've been looking forward to it for so long... well now i'm just looking for re assurance i guess. if anyone has their own story to share or any ideas or just .. anything really... i would just love some feedback i don't know what you could get out of my chart about it but if anyone feels like checking it out, my b'day is 22 March 1988, 6.55pm sarajevo, bosnia and herzegovina. anyhoo, i just wanted to wish everyone a really good day, and hope you all have a really fantastic holiday season and have lots of your dreams come true IP: Logged |

Maybe you should compartmentalize the trip to 2 months per trip for next 5 to 7 years, going every one and a half year. You are only 18 and packing 6-9 months of a trip in one shot will devalue a lot of the gains due to the strain. By distributing over a much longer period, you will gain much more perspective, interpret newly, learn to apply what you obsevre, save money and wont feel like missing the normalcy of home either.

thanks i hope they will be too i don't think i could do it in bursts, i have thought about it, but i'm pretty much all or nothing. i'm feeling pretty positive about it now... just a little s*it scared lol IP: Logged |
