Do you find that, whatever the sign on your 4th house cusp, IC.. you have a lot of family members of that sign?My IC is Virgo, I have lots of Virgo relatives from my mum's side, dad's side and my step dad's side. I love having Virgo relatives. I don't have any planets in the 4th, only Ceres. I wonder if you have planets there, would it give you relatives that signify the planet in question.. like for Saturn, Capricorn-like or actual Capricorns, for the Sun, Leo-like or actual Leos..etc IP: Logged |

Hmmm...true in my case.Leo straddles my fourth house cusp. My mom, all three of her brothers, and my only brother are all Leos. IP: Logged |

Lauren -I found the hypothesis very interesting. My 4th House Cusp is in Leo. But I do not have not one relative who is a Leo. I do have many Planets in the 4th as well, but none of those match relatives either. I'm wondering if the IC is a point of projection though. So although the relatives are not of that Sign, they may project on to YOU the issues of that Sign when it comes to all things 4th House. For example: Having a 4th House Cusp in Leo making the Natal one feel as if they need to be a "shining star" when it comes to all things 4th House. So in reality, those relatives are not really "the Leo's", but rather, project those issues back to the Natal person. The fact may be that they are not pressuring anyone to be a "shining star", but that's the impression the Natal person gets. Very interesting topic. Thanks for briging it up! ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

fourth house also signifies conditions at the end of your life as well as one of the parents (as per Peri's example)IP: Logged |

That's a great idea AJ. I don't really feel pressured by family members. But I do feel the need to act more Virgo-like I guess. I always tell them about studying and what job I'm trying to get (though I'm not actually trying to get a job these holidays lol)..but I know they like to hear that sorta thing. I tend to talk about things I'm doing, or planning to do.. mainly when it comes to working on something or buying something etc. quote: fourth house also signifies conditions at the end of your life
That's interesting. What do you think mine would signify Lalalinda? It's in Virgo at 00°36'15. It conjuncts Ceres by 2 deg, trines Mars/Neptune/DC (Capricorn), trines Venus(29 Aries) and NN (0 Taurus), opposite Jupiter/Vesta/MC. Thanks! IP: Logged |

Lauren It often happens that the same sign repeats itself through grandparent/parent/kid's ASC/Sun/Moon. e.g. My nan (daddy's mom) is a Scorp (Moon in Aqua), my dad has Moon in Scorp (ASC in Aqua), my brother has ASC in Scorp, my niece has Moon in Scorp (Aqua and Uranus in the 1st). My other nan (mom's mom) had Sun in Cap, my mom has Moon in Cap (ASC in Sag), I have ASC in Cap (Moon in Sag) IP: Logged |

I have IC in virgo too! plus Moon, Venus, Pluto and Uranus in 4th in virgo. One of my son is virgo, I have few virgo cousins but I can't say the most of them are virgos. What I've noticed interesting long ago and because this topic remaind me of this I like to share it with you now, is that around the point where is my IC and MC, but mostly IC I have the most numbers of acquaintances born around that date! Which is 2-3-4 september =before my IC= and also around 15-19 september =after my IC= But main ones are 4th september and 19th september they are in the top! The acquaintances are not necessary all very close to me, quite mixed up ... some close friends, some not so close, some family members of my dearest friends or my husband's, or job or school collegues a.s.o. I have an agenda where i wrote all people's (I met) birthdays and around that days pages are full!!! I don't know why!?! And other days IF I know 1-2 or maximum 3 people born in the same day! That time I was thinking maybe I can correct my exact IC by this because my IC is in between this area. But somebody told me is not any connection, I mean is not wright to correct it like this. In opposition the second most common birthdays of people I know are around 12-15 march which is after my MC! they aren't exactly opposite! Does anybody else noticed a similar situation? IP: Logged |

Very interesting discussion. Edgar Cayce said that we incarnate in "soul groups." Perhaps the IC refers to that.I have Cap IC conjunct Jupiter. In my birth family there are 2 Sag Moons, 2 Sag Asc., and 1 Sag Sun. Among my 4 children there are 2 Capricorn Moons, and I Moon conj Saturn. ------------------ You are a blessing and you are blessed. Rev. Alice www.lifeprints-for-living.com IP: Logged |

Interesting replies everyone thanks!Peri, quote: It often happens that the same sign repeats itself through grandparent/parent/kid's ASC/Sun/Moon.
I've noticed this as well. It's very interesting. I wonder why this happens. I guess it could be karma. Rev Alice, quote: Edgar Cayce said that we incarnate in "soul groups." Perhaps the IC refers to that.
I haven't read about this, but I'm sure someone mentioned we also apparently pick out the souls we want (or need) to meet in this incarnation. Would this mean we might also pick out our families? Alma, quote: What I've noticed interesting long ago and because this topic remaind me of this I like to share it with you now, is that around the point where is my IC and MC, but mostly IC I have the most numbers of acquaintances born around that date!
That's similar to what I've noticed. My MC is Pisces and I've always met Pisceans through school, uni and anywhere I go basically.. There's always one or a couple of Pisces ppl I get close to in every group I end up in lol To everyone who said this theory doesn’t work for them.. did you also check the planets in that house? I’d be interested to know if your relatives are not of that sign, are they at least connected to the planets in that house? IP: Logged |

as with the Descendant, the sign where the IC is shows the basic energies you'll find in your family or original house... The planets that are there (if any) also show things yesterday I saw a natal chart of a girl that had Uranus conj IC. She was the "rebel" kid, the one that didn't follow the family traditions, etc etc. IP: Logged |

My IC is always sorta' hidden for me.... I don't understand the basics of it.. the other placements I have, I see how they work within my life, but the IC, I have issues with.. I think because it is such an important part of my chart. I have a fourth house Sun, Mars, Uranus and North Node. It is in Scorpio. Also Mercury is in the last degrees of Libra, in my third, so I think it highlights the series of conjunctions as well. I blame it on the erratic planetary blend of energy. I wouldn't call myself settled. Yes they are all channelled through the IC, but think of the planets themselves....not the most harmonic together... all bring interesting tone to the table. My children have Scorpio prominent in their charts... especially my first, my son.... PLus, he has eighth house placements as well.....(late degree Aries rising) My dad is a Scorpio. I do find the same signs repeating in interesting patterns within my family. I have a hard time 'seeing' my IC clearly.IP: Logged |

We don't pick out our families, but we can pick out our new families. If you can't pick out a new family most likely I have noticed those who stay with their birth families, change them in some way and work on emotional changes. Those who pick out new families tend to make bigger splashes in the outside world. I have seen some trends in IC placements but it's varied. I couldn't really commit to any theory involving the IC. Except one-those with a water sign or planet on the IC tend to stick to mother figures- Natasha IC Pisces, closest planet is Venus
