Transiting Pluto is still in the latter Degrees of my 7th House. But I just realized, it will then be Transiting the House it Rules. My 8th House!

At first glance, it seems so intense. I've read a few translations on this. Such as :::

"Pluto Transits Through Your Eighth House: Wow! The planet of sex in the house of sex! Keep your pants on. This is also the house of other people’s money. Be careful not to get overextended with debt during this transit or you’ll wind up in bankruptcy. On the plus side, if your business requires large amounts of borrowed money, you can pull off deals bigger than you ever have before. Watch out, though, for that downside potential. Make sure that creditors can’t pull the rug out from under you. This transit is also a good time to fix things up. Anything from your house to your body. Be careful, however, when Pluto makes stressful aspects (conjunction, square, and opposition) to other planets in your horoscope."

But I'm really interested in knowing your firsthand experiences.

Has anyone experienced this firsthand? Pluto Transiting your Natal 8th House?

And I'm also interested in knowing if in addition, you have any strong Scorpio influences in your Natal. I have a Scorpio Stellium (Merc, Mars, Neptune), and Scorpio is the strongest influence in my Chart.

It just seems like there will be a lot of intense influences coming up. At a time when I'd rather lighten up!

Here's some other interpretations:

"Transiting Pluto offers us the chance to evolve and to rebirth. Pluto acts to strip away what is unnecessary or superficial in our lives. Pluto wants deep experience, of the transformational kind. Things that are not working for us, whether they are thought processes or lifestyles, undergo a transformation. Pluto transits bring about rebirths of sorts in the areas of life affected. Pluto transits are about letting go of things that are holding us back from experience."

Pluto will probably never transit my 8th House while I'm alive.

I was born with Pluto in Scorpio in the 2nd House. It's about to slip into the 4th House within the next few months...

Astrojunkie-- how are you experiencing Pluto in your 7th house? Mine has been pretty explosive and intense regarding all my relationships and how I relate to others. I'm definitely NOT looking forward to it being in my 8th house in 2007. I have no planets in my 8th house so it may not be as bad as it was for my 7th house. Thanks for the info, post more if you have.

I have Pluto transiting in my eighth house right now, starting from January next year, it will conjunct my Jupiter/Neptune/Moon/Mercury then finally my Sun all in my eighth house. I only have Saturn and Pluto in Scorpio however. Let's just hope that I can live to tell the tale astrojunkie and share my experiences with you at the end of 2010 .

SweetCappie -

It's really difficult to describe it still, how Transiting Pluto in my 7th has affected me. My relationships have always been challenging, and I'm just hoping that when it's out of my 7th that I'll have some tangible experience under my belt so that things can change for the better.

Rev. Alice -

Thanks.

Kohler -

Thanks. Looking forward to what you share.

Hi Astro junkie,

I've got the same thing. Pluto is in the late degrees of my 7th house. Only difference is that it's conjunct my natal Venus, Neptune, and sextile my natal Pluto. I cant put my finger on what changes Pluto has brought into my life while in my 7th...possibly because it's such a slow transit? Or maybe I dont notice because I adapt easily?

I can't imagine getting in any more debt than I am once it enters my 8th house. I'm actually very excited to see what transformations I could possibly undergo...I'm a pretty fixed Aquarian.

Well here's an interpretation for Pluto conjunct Venus off of astro.com. It probably parallels Pluto in the 7th, since the 7th house is associated with Venus.

quote:
Love's power ***
Valid during many months: This influence is likely to have a great effect upon your relationships and your sex life. If you have no current sexual relationships, this period could bring you one that is quite intense but not necessarily smooth. You may become quite obsessed by a particular other person. This influence could be described as love's power, with the emphasis on "power." Any relationship that begins during this time is not going to be lukewarm. You will either be entirely involved or not at all.
Under this influence you see love not as part of everyday life, but as an experience that can transcend that reality and transform your life completely. Obviously this is a very tall order to fill, but you may very well succeed now. However, the drives that bring about a relationship under this influence are compulsive and not very rational. Unconscious patterns may play a much larger role in who you choose than your sense of what you need in a partner. If you are not careful you may fall for someone who is extremely difficult to get along with, which is precisely why you are attracted to that person. You almost seem to need the experience of a struggle in a relationship at this time. But you may end up in a situation in which you can't live with your partner and can't live without him. Fascination with someone who is not very good for you is a great danger with this influence.

However, this effect is not inevitable by any means. A perfectly decent relationship is possible under this influence. The problem is that mainly you are looking for an intense experience, not necessarily a good one. If it happens to be good, it will also be intense, so this influence can signify a very important relationship in your life.

Existing relationships will also be intensified by this influence because your needs are heightened, and you require gratification more urgently. An existing relationship that cannot satisfy your needs may not survive. Certainly the basis of your relationships will change considerably during this time.

Dark sider,

if you go to www.astro.com...
click on More Free Horoscopes...
scroll down to Extended Chart Selection...
then select a chart...
to check your transits, select Natal Charts And Transits...
Once you put in your birth info you should be able to see what house pluto is transiting.

Thanks for sharing that DayDreamer. I take it nothing feels totally resolved yet in relationship with you either.

I've noticed some changes in me lately which allows me to be more tolerant and patient when it comes to a potential mate. Any relief for you in that sense as well?

Oh sorry I didnt come to this earlier astro junkie.

Tolerant?...hmmmm...maybe more tolerant of differenes. But I have come to define more clearly what I can and cannot tolerate in relationships. Ive cut ties with people who I felt were creating more hindrance than happiness in my life....but I feel that with Pluto continuing to move onto my Venus there could be more in store? Im hoping because Venus is in Sagittarius it wont be as bad. Im still concerned with manipulation and deception in my relationships though. My relationship values have changed and probably will continue to change.

Yeah, that's what I meant ... more tolerant of differences. Sounds like similar stuff, really.

Hey, thanks! I have so many Cardinal Planets and a few Signs and/or Planets in their natural Houses, and everything is Direct except for one Stationary (no Retrogrades) ... so it feels like I'm naturally charged up. I'd really like to behave like I have more Mutables, know what I mean? But if I try to be that way, a lot of people get this sense that my guard is down, when it's really not like that. I just don't want to be high and center stage.

All the potential intensity of my Scorpio Stellium, my Mars in Scorpio being the Focal Point of my T-Square, and Pluto being the Ruler of my Chart - and then Transiting Pluto in my 8th House ... it sort of makes that Fixed energy so strong, it might as well BE more Cardinal energy. I'm concerned ...

But at the same time I have faith that all these astrological lessons follow a plan of some sort, and that I'll learn what I need to learn in time for the next lesson.

That's neat you have a stationary planet? What planet is that, and how does it influence you?

Regardless of what other people think, you're going to have to put your guard down at some point with all that Scorpio influence...and if you dont do it in small bits, Im guessing it will all come out in a few big bursts, so that you really do seem to be "high and centre stage"

Yeah that's whats got me stoked.

Shuz -

Yeah, I saw that. You're like "Scorpio/Sag/Virgo". So you're own strong episodes are most criticized by you yourself. I've got Venus & Pluto Conjunct in Virgo, so I can relate. But wouldn't mind more optimistic energies like Sag. Someone once told me that in my Progressed Chart, I've become more Sag. Hopefully that will stick.

DayDreamer -

I started looking for interpretations on what effect a Stationary (D) Planet has on the Natal Chart, and after much searching, only found a couple of short one-liner's about how it makes that Planet more potent/intense/powerful.

I'm going to start a thread on Stationary Planets in the Natal to try to learn more.

But the Planet in my Chart is Saturn in Capricorn. Saturn is the natural Ruler of Capricorn. If I go by what little I read about the effects of the Stationary, that means I found another culprit continually pushing me. If I'm to believe what the effect is, it just makes it ONE MORE THING which PUSHES me, and doesn't allow much avenue for me to be as "laidback" as I'd like. I've often wondered why I feel so exhausted all the time, even if I'm sitting home for a few days.

If I follow the theory that this Saturn in Cap is very powerful, then it being Opposite my Moon in Cancer would make that Aspect that much more powerful, right? Cuz I've been saying for a while, this particular Aspect has GOT to be one of the most challenging! So much so, that most of the time I avoid the challenge all together. Might account for those confusing times when I feel completely paralyzed.

Overall, very difficult to find and keep a feeling of comfort. If it wasn't for what little faith I'm able to muster ...
