well its a mutable trait thats for sure, you're probably thinking Mercury, ruling thieves which follows a certain logic.

From personal experience I'd say it happens more with Moon in Pisces or a 12th house Sun or Moon.

I'm tired and this is my last post. It is the mark of a young person who strikes out merely because they have been offended. No one has the right to treat some one with disrespect because they simply don't like some one or have been offended by them. I'm sure SG will be glade to see some one as self centered and offensive as me go. I may have no self esteem but I'm not a masochist and I'm not going to stay in a forum just so I can question every word that comes out of my mouth.
No one can box you into anything you are who you are and it doesn't matter what others say, I should take some of my own advice.
EVERY ONE DESERVES TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT IN SPITE OF OFFENCE! That is the mark of an Adult. Soap box any one I'm done with mine.

The only Gemini in my whole freaking family! What's up with that!!!!!

If you want to go then go, don't be a drama queen about it. And when you say things that are offensive, yes they will be pointed out to you, because adults tell other adults when they are making mistakes, so that they can improve their social skills. And if I stereotyped someone, I'd like to be the first to know. It takes maturity to accept mistakes.

Also, yes, it would be nice if you took your own advice, as you pointed out, yourself.

No one at LindaLand means to be domineering or spiteful but geminis are a verbal sign and when you speak here, other geminis will respond in force. If you have something of value then continue to share, there are plenty of people who want to share in your wisdom. Remember though, that every Gemini who reads Gemini in the title of a thread is going to contribute their experiences.

It can be a very strong and unexpected reaction, this experience lets you know that there will be a reaction when you have a serious issue. We don't hold grudges around here, do we?

That said, Gemini is a complicated sign with many conflicts, one of which is stability versus change. The fastest way to enact a change or create stability is to either provoke or smooth over the waters with words because words have an emotional effect on most people. Early in life Geminis learn the extent of this gift and if used unwisely it comes back to hurt. I do not know Gemini as well as other signs but I would say that the ones I know are very stable as they get older, and tend to be unstable in their words because it's easier to talk and not rush into things-that is healthier.

To talk and dream is much, much better than the alternative. The Geminis I have known who were dangerously unhappy rushed into things and then tried to smooth things over. This has a lot to do with immaturity, being spoiled, bad neptune aspects, lots of things.

I state this often, but a square, or conjunction with neptune and mercury say more about problems with reality than a simple sun sign-even if a singleton.

I avoid listening to the problems, or focusing on the lives of anyone who wants to be my friend suddenly with those aspects.

I do hope that you will be back to learn and share here at LL. This place is the world in a microcosm, and many people post here who have wildly different points of view than you, and grew up in different cultures than you. People like myself and my friend SGA, and others who’ve contributed to this thread, do NOT allow others to box them up with labels, and we’ll call people on it, who try to either knowingly or unwittingly. And if it doesn’t matter what others say (as you stated), then perhaps you could let the strong feelings this thread has stirred up roll off, like water off a duck’s back…..

If you come back here, and do any historical thread-reading at all, you will see a goodly amount of “disrespect” being flung around. It happens, people express their opinions, and we move on. Would you like to discuss, say, your Aries Moon in the 8th (Watery) House and how you feel that might shape your emotions??

Have you ever read Liz Greene (my favorite astro-author)?? Here’s a link to her interp of your Saturn in Scorpio: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/007005.html

hey I am sure Salisa meant nothing offensive (she is a Gemini btw!), she just asked her question in a wrong way.

She must have meant to ask something like: 'what are bad astro signs good at'

Anyway, speaking about criminal astro specializations, I would classify them as follows:

Aries – a racketeer, a hijacker
Taurus – a rapist, a stuffer
Gemini – a pickpocket
Cancer – a confidence man
Leo – a mafia boss
Libra – a swindler (smooth operator)
Virgo – a falsifier
Scorpio – a pro specializing in assassinations masked as death by natural causes, a poisoner
Capricorn – corrupt official, bribe taker
Sag – a serial or ritual killer
Aqua – a hacker
Pisces – a put-on artist, a drug dealer

Here here Zala!

And Peri...according to your list...

I am a wanna-be Mafia boss (Leo asc.) but in reality a pickpocket (gem)Hmmm...a Freudian feast!

Peri, humour me and tell me which of the signs (female) could say this in a sort of a playfully mischievious twisted joking manner, a fitness instructor in an orientation session:

"I am going to give you the pain that suits you" LOL!

Let's debunk the myths....go for sun, moon, mercury, asc. whatever you feel comfortable with lol

Tsk tsk tsk! Debunking the myth... gorgeous Pisces dominatrix! LOL!

Probably Scorpio Asc. or other Scorp. placements, Plutonian sense of humour definitely.

Edited to add a question about sense of humour, would we check for aspects between Mercury and Moon? What makes us laugh? Appeal to emotions and intellect? Hmmm....

The sense of humour, I think, isdescribed by the planets aspecting Mercury and the nature of these aspects (stressful or supportive) and Merc. house placement.

The more stressfully aspected Mercury, the more acid and/or black jokes will be.

But generally speaking, I’d say:

Play on words – Gemini, Virgo, Aqua

Slapstick (comedy based on simple jokes, eg people falling over or hitting each other) –
Aries (and the other 11 signs)

Humour that breaks down taboos and deals with religion; jokes about foreigners - Saggs

Humour that deals with fear – Cancer

Humour that deals with bosses and politics - Cappy

Satire (the use of humour to attack a person, an idea or behaviour that you think is bad or foolish) - Leo

Black humour - humour dealing with the unpleasant or dark side of life (eg death, people's problems) Scorpio, Virgo

Farce (usually a funny play for the theatre full of ridiculous situations), refined jokes – Libra

Lad humour (jokes about women, sex and many taboo subjects) - Taurus and all men

Computer humour – Aqua

Pisces – hmm, hey Piscean Suns help me!

Just wanted to add that I didn't take offense to the post. There are other posts here that garner more of a strong reaction than this one here!

Hope you come back!

Salisa -

You are very valued here. Especially by me. When I read your topic and query, I took it as Gemini's and Airy types are good with words. If some Airy types easily run circles around others in an intellectual way, then INDEED the TEMPTATION to use those talents can be used for negative purposes. That's what I was thinking ... and I think that's kind of what you meant.

AND there is absolutely NO LIMIT to how many posts you make regarding YOU. Those who claim to not question their own lives when they post here are trying to fool you.

Just know that many of the responses you got are NOT representative of many more of us here, and you don't need a degree in re-wording ... you ARE a Gemini, afterall ...

I hope you get more apologies.

Been meaning to drop a line or two since I read this thread yesterday...hmmm...

I also was surprised to see the turn that this thread took...
I was scrolling down, saw the topic, clicked it to read what it was about, what the interaction on that was...and I went Huh? when I saw the turn it took.

I'm a scorpio...we get accused of so much, we get generalized sooo much....even a simple look, people think you are giving them a 'scorpio look' and it is so not like that...you simply looked around and someone made eye-contact and that person blows it way out of proportion...thinking you gave them a 'scorpio look.' Please.
The point of me writing this is that I just think this thread got way too dramatic.

My opinion is that this person Salisa appears to be eager for knowledge and is interested in understanding her chart and if you can't answer things on your own, it does not hurt to ask others.

I am all for people seeking knowlege.
The Salisa thread about the singletons in a chart and the response Hexxie gave her was very informative. I don't know much about astrology and I know that the singletons topic helped me along the way.

Anyhow, have a beautiful afternoon everyone

Dear Salisa,

I hope you come back one more time and ask more questions about Astrology. I do not think that your questions are annoying, and I actually enjoyed thinking about the topics you brought up.

Also, I hope you did not take offense to my previous comment. I think I made a joke (or tried to make a joke) about Mercury and Apollo and then I said that the topic was somewhat opinionated. I only said that the topic was opinionated because it targetted one sign/element. I felt it was unfair, but who knows what was going through my head at the time. I am sorry if you felt I was calling you unfair. I certainly don't think you are unfair. I was only concerned because I felt it would create somewhat of an uprising among the air signs, and apparently I was correct.

I did some of that research for you too! I had to research Chicago gangsters for class, and I discovered that a lot of famous gangsters were either Aquarius, Gemini, or early Cancer. Here is a list of just a few of them:

[1] John Dillinger- June 22, 1903- Bank Robber

[2]George "Machine Gun" Kelly- June 18, 1895- Notorius gangster during the Prohibition Era

[3]Johnny "The Fox" Torrio- February 1882 (Not sure what exact day in Feb., but keep him in mind) Italian-American Mobster famous for building a criminal empire in Chicago during the 20s. Created the National Crime Syndicate in the 1930s.

[4]Frank "The Enforcer" Nitti- January 27, 1888. Was an American gangster, one of the top henchmen of Al Capone, and later become a mob boss.

[5]Salvatore "Moony" Giancana- June 15, 1908- Was a famous Mafioso ad boss of the Chicago Outift from 1957- 66. There are suggestions that JFK, during his presidency, maintained close links with the Chicago Outfit.

Another interesting thing I found was that many gangsters died/were assasinated/committed suicide when the Sun was in an Air sign. Here are a few:

[1] Alphonse Capone- Born January 17, 1899: Died January 25, 1947. Cause: Syphilis

[2] John Dillinger- Died July 22, 1934. Cause: Shot in teh Head.

[3] George "Machine Gun" Kelly- Died June 18, 1945. Cause: Heart attack.

[4] Paul Ricca- Born 1897: Died October 11, 1972. Cause: Natural. Was second in command to Frank Nitti and eventually became a mob boss after him.

[5] George "Bugs" Moran- Born August 21, 1893: Died- February 25, 1957. Cause: Cancer Was a Prohibition-era gangster. Was in the North Side gang.

[6] Salvatore "Moony" Giancana- Died June 19, 1975. Cause: Assasinated.

[7] Earl "Hymie" Weiss- Born 1898: Died October 10, 1926. Cause: Gunned Down. Was a Chicago mobster and rival of Al Capone.

[8] Tony Accardo- Born April 28, 1906: Died May 22, 1992. Cause: Heart Problems. Was the boss of the Chicago Outfit from 1945 until he died. He never spent a night in jail.

Well, that is about all I could find about Chicago gangsters. I'm sure there are 4 ot 5 I'm missing from my essay (only got a 95% on it), so I will keep searching.

Love,
Moon "Cakerz" McPixie

P.S. By the way, the famous St. Valentine's Day Massacre (Feb. 14) that occured between the gangs of the afformentioned gangsters occured, nonetheless, under the sign of Aquarius. Strange? I'd say so. Coincidence? Probably.

Peri that was one cool list. And yes, I too think it was just a very unfortunately formed question, not an attempt to paint all Geminis as thieves.

quote:
Scorpio – a pro specializing in assassinations masked as death by natural causes, a poisoner

I wonder if that 'natural causes' wouldn't be something they arranged best together with some Virgos? And I've always suspected that Caps and Aquas make the best hitmans.

And also, I wont apologize if that is what you are implying.

Also, I am not trying to fool anyone. Clarifying.
