It makes me feel I'm putting myself to good use. And I've had a real problem lately with the stores I work for trying to rip me off, wanting to keep half of my money, or even all of it!!! They see a spiritual person and think you have "sucker" written across your forehead. Naive as Bambi. Then they start seeing dollar signs. Right now, I'm struggling to either find an honest store, (impossible) or go to work for myself. I don't mind them making money off me, I know they're trying to run a business, but it's like everybody wants to be my psychic pimp! Salisa- thanks for the reading, I see what you mean now. Kat unregistered	posted January 04, 2006 06:32 PM Retrocognition that's what I have. I seem to have an ability to tell what people have experienced and then project forward what might occur. Or is this just having a good understanding of psychology? I disagree that people know when they are psychic. I've met many people who say they are psychic and in my head I'm thinking "no your not." I've been to several psychics not to get a reading from them but to analyze them; it's strangely fun. They tell me more about themselves rather than me. IP: Logged

Remember to distinguish those people with the 'pretending' people who WISH they had abilities and try to convince themselves and everyone else that they are psychic. Like you, I find it rather easy to pick up when someone falsely 'believes' they are psychic--particularly when they are NO WHERE EVEN CLOSE to having abilities! Ha,ha...they make me chuckle inside!! oddball unregistered	posted January 05, 2006 08:43 AM There is a big difference between psychic abilities and intuition. Water signs have intuition, but aren't necessarily psychic. To quote Sylvia Browne... "You will find that many psychic people have the sign of Libra, Leo, Pisces, Sagittarius, or Aquarius. Now, for God's sake, if your Sun sign is not one of these, do not be upset. You may have the Moon (which is very primary) or the Ascendant in that sign. Therefore, if you are a Virgo or whatever, it does not mean that you cannot be psychic. But it seems like those signs really carry a great deal of psychic impetus in them. So it would stand to reason that a guru would be an earth sign -- Virgo, Capricorn, or Taurus -- because they are analytical in almost a metaphysical way." Sylvia is a Libra/Sagittarius/Aquarius btw. I have my sun and moon in psychic signs. Unfortunately, I haven't experienced any psychic phenomena yet . IP: Logged
Lauren unregistered	posted January 05, 2006 09:56 AM I think water is very psychic. Fire can be intuitive.. but water feels to the extent they are psychic.. Air can also be psychic.. water (feeling) + air(intellect/brain/nervous system) combos make for great psychic ability I think.. specially gemini/pisces..or gemini/scorpio combos.. I see Aqua as potentially psychic.. Libra maybe..but Leo and Sag are not at all in my opinion. I don't mean people of those signs but the signs in themselves. A Leo or Sag person could have a lot of Neptune aspects making them psychic, for instance.. but when you look at Sag as a sign and Leo as a sign.. I don't see the psychic energy there at all. I try not to claim being Pyschic but I amaze myself sometimes at the things that I know. Pisces/Aqua moon in the 12th house and mercury Conj Neptune. I really feel stuff deep into my soul.. Also there is a difference in being really intuitive and being psychic. Also I have to agree with Lauren I do not see Leo's Or Sag's being psychic ulsee they have heavy neptune placements in their chart. I still have to think twice about things sometimes even when I know that I am right. It is just amazing to me to know things. My grandmother told me years ago you better use it or you will lose it.. I was nodding my head as I read your last sentence about sometimes second-guessing yourself. You KNOW you are right...and I just finished writing an email about this to another dear friend!! Sometimes validation is not immediate and causes me to question an answer that I simply KNEW. And then, over any period of time...minutes..days...months..whatever, it nearly always matches my first 'read'. To combat this, I try and trust in my senses and remember that it has rarely failed me. Salisa unregistered	posted January 05, 2006 08:00 PM I liken my abilities to be more like looking through a really dirty glass window, you can see through the window just not very well. I think this has something to do with all my key plants & AC being mostly in earth and fire signs. I have had precognition and Retrocognition dreams but they only come once in a blue moon. The only thing that happens on a regular basis is seeing spirits which call my attention by slamming drawers, turning the TV and other things on and off and sliding stuff around among other things. My dad has gone through the same stuff but he can't see them or just doesn't want to. I can see there energy and feel them, but again only once in a blue moon do I see a... like... physical manifestation of a spirit, which almot gave me a heart attack once cause I thought some one had broken into my apartment. But if I were ask to give a person a reading I don't think I could I just don't have that talent. About the whole people not knowing if they are psychic or not, when I was a child I was taught that psychic abilities where caused by demons a that people with these ablilties would go to hell so I ignored those things in myself and only once I was an adult did I begin to change and except my self with out the beliefs of my mother and father. But what I am saying is if any one had ever asked me I would have with out question denied having any intuitve or psychic abilities. Which I have been asked before because I tend to say things that people are going to say before they say them but even now I don't really consider that any kind of telepathy just good luck. Well I was thinking that you can read some ones chart to see what would be a good career for them, so do you think you could do the same thing with psychic abilities you know like seeing if some one would be more likely to develope telepathy instead of psychometry? I'm still not convinced that people really are psychic and know it or really are psychic. Potentially everyone can be psychic at times. I know several instances in which "non-psychic" people know when someone far away is passing.Or know something will happen in advance but it's an uncommon occurance. It's not reliable all the time. I've had strange stuff happen and know certain things in advance frequently but my rational mind says this is not reliable. It's like having a car that runs every now and then; you can't depend on it. So why call myself psychic with those odds - it seems a bit presumptuous - overestimating my abilities. Calling myself a psychic seems so "aren't I special" attitude and that really does nothing to benefit me. Perhaps "being psychic" is just being able to tap into the Collective Unconscious (Jung) every now and then being able to see the underlying picture or scenario. I'm not trying to belittle anyone by these comments; it's just that I have yet to meet anyone with skills that are accurate say above 80%. Not John Edwards, Sylvia, that other guy - no one. I wouldn't go to an accountant that was right only 80% of the time. So let's see how good everyone is. Are you game? Right now I'm looking at something in front of me. Describe it. IP: Logged

We were having a discussion on the phone a year or so back and I related the story of my experience with a psychic. About ten years ago I went to new "church" and met with a man who claimed to be psychic. I did not know him, so I had a "wait and see" attitude. I was with an intense Scorp Asc at the time and I wanted answers on love. I asked about my "true love" and if he (the Scorp Asc) was the one or if there was someone else out there for me. I told my mother that he (the psychic) didn't really tell me anything, and all I really remember about the reading is that he kept saying, "I see a rose" and he kept saying what a strong symbol it was. I told my mother, "So, I wasn't really impressed with it, it didn't have any relevance." I was then struck with a feeling of almost horror at the power and realization that smacked into me as I realized that, my one year old baby girl, and only child, was named, Rose. IP: Logged

I was sitting at a library computer looking at the 7 inch red heart sticker that is taped to the shelving in front of me. It's not heavy but it says "Romance series" Harlequin.. love inspired."
