If you and your significant separate because you are having problems, or need a break, or if you break up completely - which memories were the most painful which made you realize your love?

What is your Sun, Moon & Venus?

I'm being specific to MEMORIES that poped up DURING the separation or break up. I don't mean how you see it now that you look back.

.. at the time .. i put together a music tape ..
.. with practicaly every trak i could think of that captured the feeling ..

.. i guess my answer would be the memories of shared intimacies .. of whatever nature ..
.. not quite sure which of those placements it would connect up to .. maybe my natal moon .. as it aspects pluto a fair bit .. but then again so does my sun .. ... but then again my n.venus in a fire sign (passion?) opposes neptune (painful memories?) in air ...

It's been 5 days since you've spoken because things are not going so well. You're sitting around with a couple of friends, maybe having a drink or just relaxing - when you get like this PING or a PANG feeling in your heart, or maybe you'll feel it in your stomach. A memory pops up on your head which lets you know it was something you appreciate about them. And you're like, hmmmm... I didn't realize that was so important to me, but I kind of miss that.

Do you guys have that happen to you because you remember her eyes? Her voice? The way she smelled? Maybe something she used to cook? Something about her personality, or a quirk? I guess it could be one of a million things...

Does that make more sense?

It's a memory which makes you want to pick up the phone to call them, although there may not be any real reason you can think of. But the memory sort of triggered something in you.

Waking after dreaming about her. Smelling her favourite perfume on another girl.

A song she liked coming onto the radio.

A film she found funny.

Her eyes, her lips popping into your mind. I remember our last kiss and the strange feeling that we seemed to sense it would be but shook it off at the time.

I find myself checking the little envelope on my PC screen at work whenever it appears as that was how we used to communicate and it always lifted my spirits.

So many things that are still fresh and painful.

I have Pisces Sun, Scorpio Moon, Aquarius Venus, so maybe its to be expected.

I have to add that when I connect with a woman to that degree it always affects me this way. I get enmeshed in her soul and it is like killing a part of me when I have to let go. Maybe I'm not a good example in that case.

the way she smelt, i can't remember the name of the perfume but wow! She was Libra and Libra know their perfume!

her eyes, they lit up like stars when she was happy

the way she could endlessly talk...

i have 1 memory of her, she used to walk by my place of work whilst we were still "courting". and once whilst walking past she just glanced back, her face a big grin only for a few seconds but i will never forget that memory....hard to explain really

still think of her every day
which is probably not a good thing

.. ok then ... a fair while after the big split up .. and i mean a fair fair while .. .. i came across a sweater she was fond of wearing .. .. gave it the 'does it need washing' test .. well it still had her smell on it .. .. and it were 'pingpang' in the stomach time ....

.. and then the sweater hit the washing tub .. double quiktime ..
but not without one last .. long .. .. snort? .. sniff? .. wiffle? ... inhaling exercise?

.. Sun placement ( in Taur. here ) ... may be the answer ...
.. from time to time .. certain music would have a pingpatter effect on the heart ...
and dining out .. a pang in the stomach .. 'cause we used to realy enjoy investigating the various local restaurants .. 'tis the 'shared' enjoyment that be missed ..

for me, in that situation, it's been a bunch of different things:

a song
a shirt of mine she used to wear
one of her $%&#@ bottles of something-or-other left in the medicine chest
shopping at the grocery store, grabbing the cereal she eats before you remember she's not there to eat it
a book on the shelf she didn't take with her
a catch phrase/something she said a lot
hearing someone mention one of her favorite artists

all of the above brought that ache at one time or another.

I think it is very difficult to think in terms of memories making yourself realize your love. The pain in separation is due to love itself and may not be related to any specific memory. Love would make all memories sweet and beautiful. (Can someone tell me is the rationalizing or logical reasoning or probably this kind of idealistic thinking due to Pisces Sun )
Still, for me it could be - Memories of intimate talk, discussing whatever you think in mind as openly as possibly with her, without the feeling of fear of loosing her. The beauty in her (I am not talking of physical prettiness, I mean love makes you feel that your loved one is the most beautiful person in the love and separating from her is like you are on dying bed.)
Her (Gemini Sun/Aqua Moon/Cancer Venus) way of raising her eyelids, her way of soft flying kisses (without opening her lips), her style of saying "then then... un un" while listening to me. Her mails in your mailbox when you have checked the mail for 8-10 hours.
And most importantly the feeling in yourself that you love her a lot.
