Does anyone know what aspects would produce a volatile relationship?

I think any bad aspects involving Mars or Pluto. I’ve experienced this in both platonic and romantic relationships…it’s not very nice

I think the worst was when I dated this older guy, and his Pluto opposed both my Venus and Mars. Didn’t end nicely.

I also find the Venus conj Pluto a really bad one. I had this with someone around this time last year, and it was terrible.

But of course many other factor were at play…hey maybe it was just me

When you say bad aspects you mean the hard ones right? Like conjs, squares, and oppositions?

I would say moon square mars in the composite... hot under the collar kinda aspect.....

I kinda like venus/pluto... exciting indeed!
I suppose it could become volatile if there is obsession involved.....

I have venus/pluto thing with a lot of people... I always seem to be around people 5 or 6 years older... All is well as long as both are evolved enough to handle it

I think a dash of obsession is romantic.... I think obsession covers a broad range of degree.... If it doesn't "feel good"... it probably isn't!

SG - actually it doesn't feel good at all. There's too much passion and not enough love. I guess I can see obsession too. I have ven conj plu natally although by a very wide orb. He has a Venus in Scorp. Just trying to figure out how to handle all this intense energy when there is a child in common.

KL... here is what cafe' astrology says about moon oppo mars... or square... like i dealt with... deal i did.. we did have a lot of +3 aspects on this site and one +4...
This is a great tool for synastry....

-3
"The square and opposition are rather similar in nature to the conjunction, but more problematic. The emotional rollercoaster can be trying—particularly for the Moon person. The Moon person finds Mars overly aggressive, pushy, and defensive. The Mars person feels the Moon person is too demanding and needy. The couple reacts in instinctual, spontaneous ways to one another—to a point that there is little reason or logic involved. With a propensity to react to each other without thinking, it is easy to imagine that plenty of hurt feelings are a by-product. Defensiveness, nagging, and "immature" behavior are all strong possibilities with this combination. Co-dependency issues are also quite possible. These people arouse each other's passions—both pleasant and difficult ones. The Moon person might want a promise or a commitment from the Mars person, and find it challenging that Mars prefers to take things one day at a time. The Mars person's displays of independence and self-assertion can be seen as dominating by the Moon person, and it can threaten the Moon person's very sense of security. The negative and angry interplays between these individuals will play out most powerfully when they live together—things can actually get a little nasty. Particularly with the square, the Moon person might tend to complain and dump emotional hurts and frustrations on the Mars person. The Mars person has a way of pulling out dependency in the Moon person. Even if the Moon person is an emotionally "together" person with others, the chemistry between Moon and Mars is such that Mars tends to draw out any needy and/or fearful/depressed feelings in the Moon person. It's simply very hard to relax in one another's company. Resentment towards one another, over time, is likely. This is a very temperamental combination."

We also had the venus/ pluto conj... Pluto usually has the power..... Venus is most often the one obsessed....Scorpio types can be very obsessive too...The attraction factor is there... for better or worse....

KL it’s odd because it was my Pluto that was conj his Venus. So technically I should have been obsessed…and who knows, maybe I was. But he was definitely overly possessive and obsessive.

Stargazer it’s funny, anyone who’s 8 or 9 years older than me will have their Pluto opp my Venus & Mars not good

Peri with the “older guy” he’s not old, just much older than me. My Moon sextile his Sun.
With the younger guy, our Suns trined.

There is so much hype about the Pluto-Venus/Mars opp. or conjunction! I agree on the fact that it involves so much passion but I am not sure about the lack of love though, it is just a blinding passion.

But it is usually the Pluto who initiates the sparks of venus and then I am not sure how Venus responds! These are the aspects of instant attraction or instant Karma as John Lennon says

But WaterNymph, did you experience that "instant gut feeling", being the Venus and all, or was it an attraction built over a period of time? That's usually Saturn isn't it...over time thing. Hmmm..

I am the venus also... WN... it does feel comforting... your description is right on!!
My sun and venus also fall in his first house...there is truly "something" in the air when we are around one another.

KL- are you the moon? or the mars?

KL... Wow! did that interp fit?
In any case, I hope things are going better
Ya know, i recently had to leave a relationship (long one) which involves 2 children... my 6 year old said to me one day, just prior, "Mom, daddy sure is mean to you.. he must not like you very much"... Broke my heart!! and here i thought we covered up so well... But then, my son is a Scorp and he doesn't miss much!...lol

Anyway, have you checked what transits you are under at this time?
Venus goes direct this weekend...yeah! Things will be much clearer to us all soon!

SG- no things aren't going better! I called him last night asking how he felt about giving up his parental rights and of course he hung up on me. So now I don't know what to do. That's sad when your children know what's going on. It must have been really hard for you. How do I find out what transits I'm going through at this time?

KL... i would go to beebuddy's cool astrology links... i know there are some great links there... for me, just looking at a wheel is somewhat confusing... i like astro.com.. especially on Thursday as the transit stuff (all) is free... it's written out for you... i would look at his too!!
In fact, you could go there today (Wed.). Hit daily horoscope.. then look for tomorrow's forcast... since tomorrow is Thurs. it will let you click on each one...
This would be a start.. Also, grupovenus.com has alot of charts too...

{{{hugs}}}... as i too have felt the crush of the rock and the hard place!!!
