shop,Aquarius is the sign of "friends" close but not TOO close. The house of Aquarius is also the sign directly opposite Leo, and Leo has to do with children. So Aquarius energy tends to like "friends" more than "children"...and tends to like to get close but not TOO close to others. With Aquarius (friends) modifying Ascendant (self) and your strong Aquarius influence this most likely has a LOT to do with your independent nature. I wouldn't mind having my own kids someday, but I've also always liked the idea of adoption. This past month I even looked into creating my own non-profit group to benefit adoption. Unfortunately, there's a lot that goes into creating one of those.I've only got an Aqua Midheaven, but I'm drawn to the idea that it's behind both of our desire to adopt. IP: Logged |

I know, I was just kidding.. .playing the 'martyr-card' One day I will use it on my kids to get them to do something no doubt... "Three days, young man.. three days in labour with you!!!"I am totally kidding though.... I agree that it is a beautiful thing to want to love another maternally and selflessly, no matter how you get there.... Plus, you can always play mommy-martyr. kidding again... IP: Logged |

I would think Gemini would have something to do with it. I have the same kind of unease with having my own children although I would love to adopt. Angelina Jolie comes to mind (Gemini) and Mia Farrow (Aquarius). Love SG IP: Logged |

Why not also look at similarities between celebrities who have adopted a lot. The two most obvious to me are Mia Farrow and Angelina Jolie.Mia Farrow Sun in Aquarius in the 11th House 4th House Cusp in Cancer Chiron in Libra in the 6th House Nothing in the 5th House North Node in Cancer in the 3rd House Angelina Jolie Sun in Gemini in the 11th House 4th House cusp in Libra Asc in Cancer North Node in Sag (Brad's Sun Sign) in the 5th House *Apended* She also has Neptune in the 5th House which may be an indicator as well I mean, I just noticed they have an 11th House thing in common, plus Cancer and Libra influence. And I see a Mercury commonality, in the form of Gemini, 3rd House or 6th House influences. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness

Jeez.....Easy.....are you kidding......(agree with you Pixie) I almost died giving birth.....and that is only the start.....it is the HARDEST thing in the world raising a child, especially when they are challenging...and it is for LIFE !!! Adoption too would bring its challenges...as the child grows and wants to find his/her real parents etc No girl, none of this is easy at all.....very very challenging..... IP: Logged |

Hey guys,My daughter is adopted. We did not have to adopt, but it felt like the natural thing to do, one of those "just meant to be things." Uranus and Jupiter in the 5th Neptune in the 6th Asc Gem

Arnicka -Are you saying you think a Neptune in the 5th might point to adopting as well? Angelina Jolie has her Neptune in the 5th House as well, but I did not include it in my post because I was thinking it wouldn't be that much of an influence. Let me know, and I'll add that. Thanks. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

I know a very talented and wonderful knowflake who was adopted. She does not write but reads these boards. I dont know whether she will be mad at me for writing this without her permission but she was given so much love by her adopted mother, an Aquarius, that her death is still rattling her. And though she has discovered her genetic family, her adopted mom rules her heart 100%. So Aquarius will not only adopt easily, but do a very good job after adoption

God knows what aspects make s/o not want to have kids, but I have Sun/Merc/Chiron in the 8th (Aries), also Mars/Saturn in 10th (Gemini), so - v.career-oriented and aware that 'tis a choice between one or the other...and since I am awful at honouring the responsibility of looking after things, know that I had best employ my talents elsewhere. Also have a Mutable Grand Cross, so, far too changeable from one minute to the next to be a good mother. Sun Opposition Uranus also!! The idea is nice and one that I do find myself occasionally liking; the reality is completely different. IP: Logged |

I think she wanted kids with Brad more than life itself. I really do. But she wanted to rationalize her way through her issues with her mom, until it felt like her "house" was in order before bringing in a kid. Brad's waiting around for his bride's epiphany. But she never catches the feeling... * Sun & Mercury (in Aqua) in her 4th House * Moon in her 3rd House * Venus, Saturn, Chiron & NN in the 6th House * 4th House Cusp in Capricorn If I try to look at her Chart to see if she has any "adoption" influences, I don't get that feeling. To me, it's more connected to above. ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness IP: Logged |

I don't want kids either and in a big way. I find the idea of adopting intriguing but probably not something I'll ever do. My chart's heavy in air, with an air gradn trine with Libra Uranus, Aqua Mars/NN and Gemini Sun and Mercury. My Sun is the 10th (career, ambition) and my moon is in the 7th (one-on-one relationships, marriage, enemies, but not kids). My Venus is conjunct Saturn in the 9th. My 4th (ruled by Sag) and 5th (ruled by Cap) are empty of major planets. No planets in Cancer or Leo either. Cancer rules my 11th, and Leo my 12th.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned Aries. I've known more Aries women who dreaded the pain & hassle of childbirth more than any other sign. Funny, considering they're suppose to be the daring ones. They're really afraid of pain(?!) At least the idea of it.But they end up loving parenthood regardless. IP: Logged |

I have 3 planets in Libra:Venus,Mars and Pluto.I don't want children. With the way this world is school shootings, terrorism, need I say more?.Also I got his book titled "The House Book" by Stephanie Camilleri.Since I have Saturn in the 5th house, she said it could mean two things:Unable to produce children,or difficulty having children.IP: Logged |
