Quick question---are Scorpios & Capricorns truly each other's BEST relationship MATCH?

I have read in some places that Scorpio is Capricorn's best match and Capricorn is Scorpio's best match.

Any info you can share on this? Experiences that support this/contradict this?
I know that there is more to each person than his/her sun sign.
I'm simply curious about this match-up since some places list it as the best match-up.

THANKS

Still waiting to try that one out myself. I do love the Scorps here, though.

(I'm a Capricorn)

1Scorp has gone out with a Capricorn.

I know some that have worked out and some that haven't.

Depends on the people and the rest of the chart.

A long time ago someone posted sign statistics. I have no idea what site it was from, and the search function isn't working.. so I don't think I can find it again.. but anyways, in the most long lasting marriage statistics, I'm pretty sure the capricorn/scorpio pair was first on the list.

I don't think my experience is a good one to base the Scorpio/Capricorn relationship on.

I will say that both need to be emotionally/mentally mature... unless it's for nothing more than a fling.

I think I saw marriage statistics, too, (it was on a site with a yellow background) but I'm pretty sure it said that Capricorn/Pisces is the longest lasting relationship for a Capricorn.

I'd be happy to try out either. The best synastry I've had with another person has been a Scorp.

I've read about this match many times and they all say its a GREAT match because Scorpio and Capricorn are alike in many ways (both cautious, skeptical, determined, sincere, reserved, tough on the outside, don't wear emotions on a sleeve, and perceptive) and that they'll understand each other. The Scorpio can help the Cappie feel comfortable enough to open up with feelings and release our inner passions (yep, we're passionate folks too, don't let our stoicism fool you). Oh and they say we're good bedmates too! So far I can vouch for that, my best lover was a Scorpio/Leo moon --he did everything so perfect, ahh the memories..wish I could have him now.

Cappies are also strong and challenging and I hear Scorpios like that in their mates. They don't like anyone that can't give them a challenge. Cappies can usually handle the intensity.

I've had the best closest friendships with Scorpios (sun, moon, or rising)..I just feel so comfortable with them and end up telling them things I wouldn't tell anyone.

If you have a Barnes & Nobles or bookstore around, check out Linda Goodman's "Love Signs" Capricorn-Scorpio chapter. Its a great book but if you can't buy it, browse thru those pages for detailed compatibility interactions between the male & female of each sign.

*bats her eyelashes at AG*

Scorpio Sun/Capricorn Sun....fabulous together.
No matter the combination, it works.

I find it odd that in synastry, people say "good combination" but within one's natal chart.. *ahem*... it is questionable as a combination... sextile is as sextile does.

I wouldn't really agree it's a good match going by sun sign only.

I mean what if a scorpio with pisces moon and cancer rising gets with a capricorn who has an aqua moon and sag rising?

Ew. Poor scorp would go crazy.

My parents are a Cap_Scorp couple and have been together for years (: I have always admired the way they have stood together fighting the currents of change. No matter how hard the struggle, they have never given up on the relationship nor each other. I am glad they worked out the differences and they are still together.

Thank you for the links. Lauren-I'm still digging around trying to find that data. When I find it, I will share.

Recently, I met a Capricorn Sun/Virgo Moon and I am truly humbled by the way we get along. Wow. I have not known something like this ever before. It is so natural, every second with this person is such DELIGHT.

I have never dated a Capricorn Sun before and I had noooooo idea what I have been MISSING all along.

All I can say is that my aunt (scorp sun) and uncle (cap sun) have been happily married for 30+ years. They have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. They truly love each other but as with all relationships you have to make an effort if you really want it to work. I'm not sure of their birth times but as I said they been together a long time.

Yes! Capricorn women are fantastic. I think I've been involved with more Capricorn women than any other sign. (Followed by Sagittarius, then Libra)

Personally, I feel Capricorns can make a serious challenge for Pisces and Cancer girls when it comes to compatibility with a Scorpio.

Then again, I've read on a couple occasions that no sign is really right for Scorpio's.

Hallo!

I was in a relationship for 9 years with a Double-Scorpio and we got on like a house on fire, having a real respect and understanding of eachothers moods and foibles!

I also feel a *strong* affinity with Pisceans - both these Water Signs figure hugely in my life, and the lives of many other Cappies from the looks of things, and i sometimes wonder if there's more significance to these particular earth/water combos that has yet to be explored..?

(Hard-headed cappy does, after all have a fishes tail.. wasn't he originally a Water Sign?)

Tho, as Mystic Gemini said, there's the rest of the chart to consider

(maybe my cancer rising and Pisces Midheaven smooths things out on this score? Strangely, as water signs go, i've had a couple of weird run-ins with Cancerians though)

Nope you got it right. We're sea goats. Aquas are people bearing water.

Please tell me something nice about capricornians. Are we (i m a capri sun)really conservative, manipulative, rigid, ambitious??? this is really affecting me. why is it that air and water signs find us boring???

Something nice... hmmmm... where do I start? I'll get back on a more complete description.

I have discovered that a childhood friend that I haven't seen in a few years is a Capricorn.

I was talking about him with my Cappie friend a few months back.

When he was a child, Dr.'s discovered a tumor on his brain. He had it removed, and to beat odds, survived.

It left him almost completely blinded with a small amount of physical disabilities.

He was (and still is) the most outgoing, full of life person I've known.

I remember as a child being told that I would have to keep activities easy enough for him to play along. (??) What? Not once. He and I would play in the woods all day... he could climb a tree as good as anyone else.

He never let his disabilities stop him or dwell on them. Which I would have to say is more than a lot of people would be capable of.

Did I mention he can work the magic with the ladies?

Guess what? He called me out of the blue a few weeks ago.

We have plans, along with my daughter, Libra sister, Gemini brother,(all 3 of the air signs) and other Cappie friend, to rent a cabin and take off for the weekend.

Rashmi,

(cap sun here too) air and fire signs find us boring because we *are* boring from their point of view. We have problems experiencing enthusiasm for enthusiasm's sake or thriving in the world of ideas (that don't have a practical use from our point of view.) And as caps we tend to dwell on the negative and what could've been [worse] which isn't at all attractive.

As for being conservative or manipulative, not sure, maybe, depends on other placements.

This Fire sign happens to love Capricorns. As I mentioned, my dad is a Capricorn. A wonderful Sea Goat (: My little sister is an Aries Sun/Cap Moon and my brother is a Taurus Sun/Cap Moon. I also have a Cap Sun/Aries Moon friend

Capricorns are great because

1. They Never, ever give up. On themselves or their loved ones. When everyone else has dug in their heels in defeat, the Goat will keep going and prod you along to the top.
2. Sturcture and order. A more scattered sign such as mine has much to admire about good order. My childhood home was balanced my father doesn't know the meaning of the word procastination (:
3. Rewards follow hard-working Caps. My friend supported her husband and their child on her own for three years. She did it so her hubby would continue his education. He will soon be a licensed RN and now she will be able to go back to school. My sister will barely be 23 years old this month, and she will obtain her MS in Family/Marriage Counseling next year. She has sacrificed much to go to school, but she has done it. Our dad worked tough labor most of his life, and five years ago took a major risk. He invested a big portion of savings into starting his own business and is doing great.
4. Cappies are classic beauties and handsome goats. I am so envious of how the Cappy female is able to pull off radiant beauty even w/o make-up! My friend has been known o toss her hair in a bun and wear simpple drab clothes to work and still be beautiful. As for the men... Sigh... Tehy put Clark Gable to shame (:
