Topic: Help! Which Astrology Site to Use??

I am really confused because some of the astrology sites give me totally different charts, with the ascendant and houses changing. This has me REALLY confused about which one is correct. Astrodienst gives me this: Sun: 27 Libra; Moon: 9 Libra; Ascendant: 25 Scorpio. Cafeastrology gives me a Sagittarius Ascendant, and of course, the houses are now different. Which site is the most reliable? Expert advice??

My personal experience: www.astro.com with the Equal House System gives the maximum accuracy.IP: Logged |

Thank you for the feedback! Astro.com gives me a scorpio ascendant with venus and ceres in the first house. Hmmmm... I'm going to have to look over my "new" chart. I am such an amateur at all this but something about the other chart wasn't feeling "right". Thanks again.Sandra IP: Logged |

mystical,This is a common question/problem. It always ends up that birth data was entered incorrectly. If you post your birth data, someone can verify the charts on both sites you mention to see if they can duplicate the charts you describe, and also to tell you which chart is correct. A difference of Ascendants that are so close to each other by sign usually indicates incorrectly entering Daylight Savings Time in one of the charts. Explaining, Tim ------------------

Sandra,I understand your confusion using cafe astrology's chart generator! I got VERY confused trying to get the correct chart. As always, I ended up going to Astrodienst, creating a chart and then trying to get the other chart to look like the Astrodienst chart! (Guess which web chart generator I like best!  ). The chart generator on cafe astrology is one of those horrible kinds that requires you to figure out Daylight Savings Time on your own. That's why I always use Astrodienst...it automatically makes the time corrections for you. To get the correct chart on Cafe Astrology you have to enter a "5" for the time zone (one less than the "6" it automatically inserts) in order to correct for Daylight Savings Time. So Scorpio Ascendant it is -- I thought so.....
Really, there is no way that someone just learning would have known to change the timezone to adjust for their lack of daylight savings time......ugh......not a user-friendly site.
I'm with you, astro.com is definitely better.
