Hi... I hope you are all having a great weekend. The last 2 days have proved challenging for me to say the least. Yesterday I was asked to resign --or else-- from my job. The person I thought was a mentor-- and biggest fan-- turned out to be anything but. I'm hurt by the betrayal, but also angry. I think that's understandable.

I'm wondering what is going on in my chart to indicate such a quick reversal of fortune. I'm sure Uranus is playing some part since it happened (from my POV) so quickly, and without warning.

Background:

I started my job in early November, and experienced many challenges-- as did everyone in the company-- we were involved in a hostile takeover.

But recently, I've felt more comfortable in my job, and thougth the hardest part was over. Obviously my mentor/boss thought differently. From the verbal exchange that took place yesterday, it seems like this had been in the works for quite some time-- but never indicated to me (I still have the emails that show what a "wonderful job" I was doing)

Anyway....

I relocated to LA so I could work here. I don't know if everything would show up in the relocation chart, or my birth chart.

I'm interested to see what all of you think. Should I be following my birth chart for transits, or my relocation chart?

Thank you in advance for any insights anyone here can provide. For peace of mind, I just want to know. I'm sure some of you can understand this.

8.20.70 @ 11:24PM Cincinnati (birth)
8.20.70 @ 8:24PM Relocation Los Angeles

(For those of you so inclined-- the ex-boss' chart: 1/16/66 Madison WI, birthtime unknown.)

That sucks, could it be that your boss is an Aquarius so sudden change is normal to him? And after a relocation..are you considering returning to your home state or staying?

I' not sure when I'd have time to do a chart but looking at your progressed natal chart would shed some light. I would ignore your boss for now and look at your transits.

After looking at your transits, ask yourself what you want so you can find out what's possible.

I just wanted to tell you that I also had a confrontation with a "boss" yesterday, things had been building, but as a peace loving Libra, I followed the forgive and forget philosophy as often as possible. This woman continued to bully and push me until I finally said something back to her, told her she was being disrespectful etc. She said, "I'm not going to let you get away with that!" as I left, so I assume she is going to go up the ranks to try to cause me trouble or have me fired, but hey, when one door is slammed in your face, another one opens, right? I feel my real challenge in this particular situation was to stand up for myself and I did, so I feel satisfaction. I wrote down the incident to show the "big boss" on Monday, and if they wrongfully terminate me I am going to take more of the necessary steps, but overall I am very open and aware and watching for the open door that I am being led to.

(Typing it all really helped me get it off of my mind so that I wouldn't go over the confrontation over and over.)

I was wondering if there was an usual aspect and yes, there is some Uranus activity going on, and since you had the same issue, it looks like it may be affecting more than just a particular chart... unless you and I have the same aspect... hmmm

At any rate... Good Luck - take the steps you know you need to take and then let things go and relax, enjoy your time off and use it to center yourself so you can better see/sense that open door that is coming!!!!!

Thank you for your replies. Natasha, I'm sorry to ask, but do I look at transits to my progressed chart? Or just the progressed chart?

As for the boss woman, she is a Capricorn, and her sun sits almost directly on my MC. Also, her Scorpio Moon may be exactly square my Sun in Leo... that's why I wondered if her chart might have something to do it (and transits of course)

And in answer to you question, no I plan to stay in Cali....

Peace~

I do not use relocated charts. Looking at your birth chart and the current transit to it, you have transiting (planets in the sky) Pluto (transformation, also power, control) focused in the 8th house (transformation, also power, control) square (energy needs to be combined with) birth Pluto focused in the 6th house (daily work). This square is right now exact (strongest energy). This indicates this time is about taking control over your daily work.

Since you have Neptune (spirituality, also confusion, idealization) focused in your 7th house (relationships), you may tend to be confused about or idealize your relationships with others. Since this Pluto square has been going on for some time, there may have been indications in some way, if not from your boss, from others around you that you either did not notice or simply "hoped for the best" in what these indications meant. And Uranus, the bringer of the unexpected, is NOT aspecting your planets in any significant way.

So this is all about power...another person's power over you and whether you are going to keep your power or give it away to others. For Pluto power WILL be used, either by you or against you. Speaking of power...have you considered taking a printout of your emails to your boss's boss and asking him to explain why your boss suddenly has decided to get rid of you after giving you such a "glowing report"?

You could begin, "I am confused about something...I have gotten great reviews from my boss but now he has decided that he has a problem with my work. Why did he not tell me about this earlier?" If this is a case of job discrimination or intimidation of some sort, your boss's boss might be interested...there has been a LOT of bad press about people unfairly fired from their job and every company wants to be sure to be as "fair" as possible to avoid lawsuits.

On the other hand, maybe it is enough to know that you COULD do that, and, instead, simply leave this job with the horrible boss behind you and take control of your life. You now know that you can NEVER fully trust anyone where you work: everyone has their own agenda in the company. Be "close but not TOO close" to your work friends, and make sure you have plenty of references and job opportunities OUTSIDE of any company you are in.

Yes, this seems to be a Pluto lesson of how power works and not a sudden Uranian event "slapping you down out of nowhere". I suggest using this time to develop your own power and in taking off any "rose colored glasses" you might have about the people around you in the business world.

Seeing clearly,

Tim

consolation: .. your ex boss is about to get trounced upon by Chiron (to her natal venus) then Saturn (opposite to her natal venus) ... transiting Pluto is currently at a semisquare to her natal Venus .. transiting Neptune is conjoining her natal Mars .. transiting Uranus is about to conjoin her natal Saturn and it's not too long before Mercury goes retrograde and reverses over her natal Chiron ..

transiting Jupiter is about to conjoin her natal Neptune .. and is currently squaring her natal Mars .. trines her natal Chiron .. and sextiles both her natal Pluto and Uranus ..

btw: in her natal chart she has Mars conjunct Lillith .. both square to Neptune (Lillith being exactly 'square' ) .. she also has Uranus and Pluto sitting right opposite her natal Chiron .. Uranus being the 'exact' opposite .... ( by exact i mean less than one degree .. i.e. 'minutes' )

Happy Dragon... ouch. None of that sounds good. I don't like to wish ill on anyone.... and it sounds like she's in for a tough road for quite some time. Maybe it's her karma??? If I look on the bright side, I won't be around to experience any of the fallout from that juggernaut. I truly believe everything happens for a reason.

Tim hit on something very important. I tend to give my power away. I've had power issues all my life. Overrbearing parents, boss after boss who ruled with an iron fist etc.... I definitely have issues with authority-- yet I really do crave structure. It puts me in some interesting situations. And I have a tendency to put on rose colored glasses-- especially for people I admire. It's something I am working on to correct. Unfortunately, there's no magic wand to make these things go away. It takes time, and I'm not a patient person

Also, I can come across as direct (Pluto conjunct Mercury-- in Virgo no less), so even if I don't mean something to come across as direct, or overbearing-- it does. I've been told this many times. And I really don't mean for it to come as direct/rude etc.... So I become sort of paralyzed by fear. What do I do??

As a result I consciously, or subconsciously over compensate-- and power struggles arise. I guess it's that old shadow self thing playing out. Use it,or it will be used against you. It's definitely a life lesson.

Thank you for sharing your insights. I really appreciate it.

Peace~

The lesson to stop fearing anything is to control it less, so when you speak be direct but make sure your intentions are understood.

To check your own progressed chart, go to astro.com and click on extended chart. Then under
Please select which type of chart you want
Choose Progressed Chart,
I just finished my pluto square, because I'm around your age.

I can tell you it's not pretty but it puts a whole new light on your relationships with the opposite sex, all types of relationships and they tend to be more restrained, subtle and intense. You start to see the power struggles more clearly and this is a good time to keep it to yourself but act on what you see-

An excellent time to start learning about your abilities, mental, verbal, emotional, keep your body in check too because there is a tendency to get sick or overextend yourself.
Be careful of trusting the opposite sex too much, and or putting too much stock into what another person promises.

Be careful financially for a while, and do not give too much away regarding your private life. Try to have some close women friends you can trust, at least one, but steer clear of power or relationship struggles, stay friendly only.

Be very demanding of your friends, and one will help pull you through this crisis.

Take Care,
Natasha

Natasha:

Great advice. I just seemed to finish my progressed Sun conjunct Pluto not too long ago. Everything in my life changed after that. I would definitely say it changed for the better, but was it painful (I also had my saturn return around that time, and transiting Uranus opposite my Sun... and something else, but I can't remember)

It's interesting what you say about Pluto though. I've not had too much trouble with men (unless you count on the fact that I always seem to pick emotionally unavailable boyfriends...but that's another story. )

Male bosses have been generally very kind to me... Female bosses seem to want to keep me very low on the ladder, and I this is the second time I've been hurt like this (which brings up another can of worms). I find it interesting people seemed to automatically think the boss in question is a man For the most part-- my power struggles have been with women in positions of authority.

And Happy Dragon-- You've provided great advice too! Thank you. Any thoughts on how to handle my Virgo conjunction Merc/Pluto??? Uh Oh doesn't leave me with a happy feeling....

***Any thoughts on how to handle my Virgo conjunction Merc/Pluto??? Uh Oh doesn't leave me with a happy feeling.. **
sorry e34 .. that was me being silly .. .. just a personal reaction to that aspect .. nothing more .. ..

how to handle it ?? .. i might be a bit biased on that .. ... some ppl close to me (including my mum) have that Plu/Merc connection .. .. from them i simply get too much questioning and probing .. as if under suspicion .. why this .. why that .. .. and 'panic' .. fearing the worst .. as in 'why haven't you contacted me in 24hrs' etc etc ... seems like they have to know Everything .. .. at the end of the day .. to me .. it feels like 'mind rape' .. .. be something i just will not tolerate in my life anymore .. someone displays that and its probably 'goodbye' or at least 'catch you much later'... ...
no doubt a good placement for research / investigation .. may go down well with an 'other' who likes being 'investigated' ... ..
anyhow .. like i said .. i've a slight bias on that one ...
ps .. that is not a slight on you btw .. i wrote that 'cause it may explain some folks reactions in your personal and business life .. .. .. to all the signs / placements / aspects etc etc .. there is a 'positive side' and ' shadow side'

here's an intro to astrology book .. (if youv'e not seen it ) .. the author is a pcychologist and she can be found at astro.com .. http://www.happydragon.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/A.F.L.G.html

* * * * *
a book on 'relationships'
written by a comedian and his psychologist ..

have added the second 'relationship' book because the authors have also written a book on business relationships ... or 'relationships in the workplace' .....
i thought you were a guy as well .. at first .. .. must be something odd happening in the heavens .. .. raining cats and dogs here ..
