i am experiencing the same transit right now, neptune has been hovering around my natal venus for almost a year now. last year, in february or march, it came really close to conjuncting my natal aqua venus (in 5th right on cusp) but before it could perfect, it turned retrograde. now, finally, it will conjunct my natal venus on the 16th of march. due to its retrogradation, it will make a couple more passes over my natal venus --aug 3, 2006 - neptune will make a retrograde pass over n. venus
jan 16-17, 2007 - neptune will make its final pass over my n. venus
i mention this because this is important to check, if an outer planet makes several passes over a personal natal planet this represents different phases of experience. will neptune make anymore passes over your venus?
i would think, with your natal venus in 3rd, and neptune passing over it, that you will be in the mood to communicate romantically...you will be filled with ideas of romance. you could also be deceived by someone, or just in general have muddled thoughts right now.
mary f. shea has some great info on the transits of uranus, neptune, and pluto. here is what she says about neptune aspecting venus:
Neptune transits to Venus are associated with uncertainty surrounding financial situations and relationships. Changes occurring in these areas assist you in becoming more sensitive to inner qualities of beauty. You will be able to anticipate the shifting sands if you are conscious of subtle signals and messages.
Financially, this is a time when you can live without fiscal guarantees. You may have to if you are starting a new business or investing money in a new venture. No relationship comes with guarantees to begin with, but with Neptune-Venus contacts the security can be even less evident.
